Moscow, 26 April 2008 (Interfax):

The programme Novosti (News) on the First Channel reported that a wooden Easter egg over 4 metres (@13.2 feet) high was placed in one of the parks in Sevastopol. It is made of pine and it is constructed on the principle of overlapping rings much like a pyramid in a children’s play park. It took two weeks of labour by local craftsmen to make the egg, and students from local schools under the supervision of a professional artist painted the exterior. On one side, there is a depiction of a church in Sevastopol dedicated to Holy Warrior Admiral St Fyodor Ushakov, and on the other side there is a portrait of the saint.
