Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliya Timoshenko (1961- ), under unwarranted investigation of suspicion of treason by the delusional Yushchenko. Condi, stay away from him, he’ll drag you down with him!

Kiev, 21 August 2008 (RIA-Novosti):

The Ukrainian security service was given presidential instructions to check the government, right up to Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko, for any activity that could “harm the country’s national interests”, the UNIAN news agency reported Thursday. Top security officials have already sent relevant inquiries to the Cabinet, and to foreign intelligence and law enforcement agencies. The collected data will be processed thoroughly under the law on Ukrainian security, the news agency said. If the investigation uncovers evidence that Ukrainian government officials have carried out illegal activities, the material will be sent to the country’s top prosecutors.

Andrei Kislinsky, deputy head of the Ukrainian presidential administration, said Monday that documents would be submitted to the police to check whether the Prime Minister’s actions could be classified as state treason or political corruption. Mr Kislinsky said Russian authorities were considering supporting Ms Timoshenko for president due to her passive stance on Russia’s conflict with Georgia over South Ossetia. Ms Timoshenko has denied working to harm the Ukraine’s national interest.

Editor’s Note:

Yushchenko has truly and sincerely lost his cookies. The man is delusional and sees enemies everywhere. In short, he is clinically insane, a medically-defined paranoiac. He is investigating the entire government, shades of the Stalinist show trials. I never thought the man was this barmy, I merely thought him a deluded Galician-style nationalist. He is trying to provoke a Russian movement to get NATO on his side. He is so disturbed, in the medical sense of the word, that he is going to make even the Ukrainian political class welcome the Russian tanks to remove his malign influence. The “Ukrainian” successor-state is not long for this world. “Them whom the gods would destroy, first, they make them mad”. It appears to be coming true… literally.
