Here is a lovely Byzantine piece sung in Greek by the Serbian singer Divna Ljubojevic. It is less than two minutes, but, what a world is compressed into that short span.

“defte lai” which in modern greek is “empros laoi (elate)”, means “people come, let’s….”. it’s an idiomelon from pentikosti:
ΙΔΙΟΜΕΛΟΝ (Πεντηκοστής)
Δεύτε λαοί, την τρισυπόστατον θεότητα προσκυνήσωμεν,
υιόν εν τω πατρί συν αγίω πνεύματι
πατήρ γάρ αχρόνως εγέννησεν
υιόν συναΐδιον και σύνθρονον,
και πνεύμα άγιον ην εν τω πατρί
