What is Maslenitsa? It is Carnival, Fasching, and Mardi Gras all rolled into one, and more! It is a time of great fun before we settle down to the Easter Lent. So, I decided to post this video of Maslenitsa doings from a Cossack town. This year, Maslenitsa runs from 23 February to 1 March. Then… boiled potatoes and stewed prunes… it’s Lent, yet again!
