Friends and neighbours, I’m complete down to January 2009, and I also attended to my most popular posts. God willing, I’ll be done today or tomorrow. Actually, this was my staritsa’s idea. She told me that if everything was in a uniform format, it would more “professional” and give the site a more journalistic feel. After all, her obedience is in IT, so, she should know! Monastics just don’t bake bread any more, you know!
She added an interesting caveat… I’m doing well by not mentioning the names of private individuals. As she put it, “Public figures are in the public eye because they chose to be there. Publicity of their actions is part of the deal. If they want the perks; they have to accept the price”. Note well that I consider ordinary priests “private people”. They don’t have much wiggle-room… especially under bad bishops such as Benjamin Peterson or Philip Saliba. Priests such as Piggy Iggy Burdikoff and Lyonyo Kishkovsky have charged into the limelight… well, they shouldn’t complain if their public actions lead to public criticism.
Well, it’s time to get back to WORK. These things just don’t fall from heaven, you know. I’ll send Fr XXX from the Orthodox Forum (you know who you are) out for pastrami on rye (tell Manny not to forget the horseradish…).
