Association of Orthodox Experts See the Volcanic Eruption in Iceland as a Sign of God’s Anger

The Association of Orthodox Experts (APE) believes that the volcanic eruption in Iceland is a manifestation of God’s anger. “Is not Europe increasingly departing from its Christian heritage? Does it not see that the eruption of the Icelandic volcano, and the appearance of its paralysing ash clouds, is a stern warning from God against their ‘advanced’ society?” a statement delivered on Tuesday to Interfax-Religion said. The APE document also noted that, in recent years, Iceland has become a centre of European neo-paganism, especially occult and “Aryan” (neo-Nazi) groups. The Association of European Traditional Religions (a Neopagan body), which recently prepared a draft for uniting the World Pagan Association and the International Pagan Alliance, has its headquarters in Iceland. The APE document went on to say that the April session of PACE will discuss the rights of different minorities, including sexual minorities {“sexual minority” is a Russian usage for “homosexual”: editor}. It also said, “A sizable number of MEPs proposed that all states represented on the Council of Europe should have mandatory classes in schools to teach about the sexual behaviour of homosexuals. Has formerly-Christian Europe forgotten the Scriptures, and, accordingly, the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah?” The APE spokesmen called on delegates from Russia, the Ukraine, and other Orthodox countries to resist such attempts [to introduce homosexual indoctrination in the schools].

Editor’s Note:

I had an “interesting” link to my site from a pro-gay site. Of course, one has no control over such, but I took a good look at the article involved, and I noticed that they used a very poor English translation of the original Interfax Russian piece above to bash the ideas therein. So, I made a fresh translation. No doubt, they’re going to like it even LESS now… oh, well…

As always… caveat lector… and do ask your interlocutor’s agenda…
