US Military Court Sentenced bin Laden’s Former Cook and Chauffeur to 14 Years in Prison

A US military tribunal sentenced Ibrahim al Kosi to 14 years in prison; he was a former cook and chief chauffeur to the leader of the international terrorist group al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden. Last month, he pleaded guilty to having links with al Qaeda and providing material support to terrorists. As noted by RIA-Novosti, al Kosi many not serve the entire sentence due to a deal with the prosecution in exchange for a guilty plea. Its details were not disclosed. Bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda, was last seen in 2007. In 2009, US Defence Secretary Robert Gates acknowledged that American intelligence services have had no knowledge for several years about where, in fact, bin Laden is hiding.

Editor’s Note:

This is as dumb as dirt. Erich Kempka, the chief chauffer and bodyguard to Adolf Hitler from 1934 to 1945 did no major jail time. If anything shows you the lack of intelligence on the part of American neocons, this is it, kiddies. This is vindictive and cruel… it’s why America is hated throughout the world… and rightfully so.

The OMON Black Berets will Help the Church to Deliver Assistance to Fire Victims

The OMONtsy step up when they’re needed… both on the beat and in their communities… good on them, I say.

More than 12 million roubles (393,708 USD 305,872 Euros 251,422 UK Pounds) are in now in the account of the MP Synodal Division for Charity…

The Moscow OMON is going to assist the Church in helping the victims of the wildfires. On Thursday morning, three OMON 10-tonne KAMAZ heavy lorries loaded with humanitarian aid collected by the MP Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Services will go to affected villages in Ryazan oblast, where they will aid about 700 people, a spokesman for the MP Department told our Interfax -Religion correspondent on Wednesday. The convoy will also include three 7-tonne Ural lorries loaded with goods collected by the Moscow cops. GIBDD (traffic police) emergency vehicles will accompany the convoy vehicles. Besides the drivers of the lorries, 10 OMONtsy and representatives of the MP Division for Charity will ride with the convoy to unload the cargo at the destinations. The cops in Ryazan oblast will also lend a hand. As of today, the MP Synodal Division for Charity has received donations of 12,147,395 roubles (398,544 USD 309,629 Euros 254,510 UK Pounds) to meet the needs of fire victims. Over the last eleven days, the Division sent 126 vehicles with 140 tonnes of humanitarian aid for fire victims to the affected areas. On average, per day, 170 volunteers sort things out and load them into vehicles from early morning until late at night, and over 500 people bring in all sorts of necessities for the fire victims.

This is like the “Toys for Tots” that the Marines run at Christmas… and all the unsung little acts of charity and mercy that our local cops do every day. Well… their Russian counterparts do the same things. They’re tough guys with a tough job… and they have big hearts, too. If I had to choose between trusting a cop, or, trusting a professor… well, I KNOW where I stand… what about you?

Miner Beat Stakhanov’s Record with the Blessing of Metropolitan Hilarion Shukalo of Donetsk

Metropolitan Hilarion Shukalo of Donetsk (1951- )

______________________________

In one shift, 38-year-old miner Sergei Shemuk from Dzerzhinsk in Donetsk oblast mined 170 tons of coal, which is about 68 tons more than the legendary accomplishments of Aleksei Stakhanov in 1935. Sergei said that he decided to break the record after receiving a blessing from Metropolitan Hilarion Shukalo of Donetsk and Mariupol. “It seemed much easier to work than usual. After eight hours of work, cutting and cutting, I didn’t feel any fatigue”, he said to the Ukrainian edition of the newspaper Комсомольская правда (Komsomolskaya Pravda).

Another day down in the bowels of the earth…

______________________________

Sergei, who works at the Novodzerzhinskaya Mine, was ready to repeat an achievement recorded 75 years ago… on the night of 30 to 31 August 1935, Aleksei Stakhanov, with two assistants per shift, cut some 102 tons of “black gold”, which was 14 times higher than of the norm. Following Stakhanov’s example, S V Shemuk, working only with simple tools, and aided by two timberers mined 170 tons of coal during his shift. For beating the record, Sergei received a monetary award in the amount of 4,569 grivnya (17,742 Roubles 582 USD 452 Euros 372 UK Pounds) (the average wage at the mine is 2,500 grivnya (9,520 Roubles 312 USD 243 Euros 200 UK Pounds)). He also received honorary certificates from the Mayor of Dzerzhinsk and the Donetsk Oblast State Administration.

Let’s Send JP, Matusiak, and All Their Confrères Back to Kindergarten to Learn How to Count…

Here is the image posted on oca.org in its original size and resolution.

______________________________

Firstly, read this:

http://www.oca.org/news/2230

Do note how tightly focused the top image is. It’s a technique used to make a small group look like a larger one. It’s often used by Western TV cameramen in Moscow to make the small groups attracted by pro-American bum-kissers like Kasparov look like large assemblages. The purpose here (and in the case of the TV broadcasts too) is to deliberately mislead and misinform… in short, it’s a lie any way you look at it. This is an extremely poor attempt at dezinformatsiya. It’s so bad that it’s pathetic, in its humble little way, isn’t it? If this is the BEST that JP can do…

Here is a picture from the website of St Catherine (the OCA Representation in Moscow). Take a good look. There are only about seventy individuals in this image. This is the largest number of people in any of the images available for this “event” (I apologise for the image… it’s very poor… obviously taken with an el cheapo camera with next to nil pixels):

“The hierarchs and clergy were accompanied by hundreds of pilgrims from across North America, who travelled to Spruce Island by boat”. This is utter bullshit and rubbish, and if you believe it, you are a candidate for a brain transplant. If there were that many people present, trust me, there would’ve have been an image showing such. The only people who were there were the seventy individuals in the above image, no more. In any case, friends from Alaska inform me that you can’t bring “hundreds of pilgrims” to Spruce Island, it’s simply impossible, as the only access is via a tiny anchorage that one can only reach by small boat.

By the way, THIS is “hundreds of pilgrims”… the above image doesn’t even come close (“One of these things is NOT like the other… one of these things ain’t even the same”):

NO hierarch of the EP showed up for this shindig. NONE. Yustinian showed up because the Boy Blunder built a fire under him. Bishop Maksim Vasiljević of the SPC was there on his own nickel, he’s a rabid Renovationist and fanatical Schmemannite (don’t forget, Irinej Gavrilović became Patriarch because the Renovationist Nutters and the Grounded Orthodox couldn’t agree, so, they named a moderate placeholder). Of course, Maksim defends Platina, just as JP defends New Skete. Birds of a feather, I’d say. It’s interesting to note that the OCA wasted a wad of cash to fly Zacchaeus Wood from Moscow to Alaska (or did the Boy Wonder front the cash from DECR coffers?)… he’s a nobody with no real influence over anything… why was he given top billing? There was no mention of Gerasim Eliel in the article, another lacuna, no?

In short, JP attracts less than a hundred people, yet again. THIS IS IN ALASKA, A THOROUGHLY ORTHODOX REGION. If there had been images of crowds of native faithful greeting JP, they would have been posted, and prominently, trust me. Every “event” that JP is associated with, save for festal liturgies, attracts less than a hundred participants, including clergy. That smells like Old Catholic Vagante crapola to me… and rather strongly, too.

Oh, by the way, a friend of mine in the Ukraine remarked in an e-mail that JP is going to show up for the opening of the “Glory to the Ukraine” exhibition in DC… “He’s a vainglorious SOB. He didn’t want to share the billing with Vladyki Aleksandr in New York. Besides, he’s fat and lazy…” I didn’t think of that myself, but she’s right… JP always tries to hog centre stage (as do all the konvertsy, by the way).

This is more pathetic and sad than anything else. Well, we know one thing now… the MP did NOT force the EP to recognise the OCA whilst Bart was at the Centre (the lack of EP participation in this spoke volumes). It truly does take all kinds, kids…

Editor’s Postscript:

This was only posted today… with modern technology, it could have posted from a laptop on Monday night. Do you need any more evidence of the bone-idle laziness of Matusiak and those around him? The Centre had high-res images of His Holiness in the Ukraine up on the website on the very day that they were taken… it’s not only possible… it’s done. This was a hutsky-klutsky mess; it deserves both an Order of the Big Green Weenie and a Golden Evil George Weigel Award.

I despise all attempts at deliberate misrepresentation… and I have NO respect whatsoever for those who attempt to pull such shenanigans.

THAT’S EVIL.

A Further Postscript:

A friend of mine wrote me to inform me that I had missed the fact that there was no Antiochian official representation at this Dixie Fry. Indeed, it was “my bad”… and it’s not unimportant. Philip Saliba is a politician to his fingertips. I think that he senses that JP is a “dead man walking”. After all, this event was sparsely attended. Another friend of mine pointed up that Benjamin Peterson was MIA at Spruce Island. Why? He WAS in Alaska, in Kodiak, in fact.

You can’t say that covering Orthodoxy is BORING.
