A mosque in Ufa in the Republic of Bashkortostan, which is in Western Siberia, relatively close to Tyumen. There are many Muslims in Western Siberia… Russians have lived in peace with them for centuries.

On Sunday, in Tyumen, an imam of a local mosque in Novogo Urengoy was assassinated. The investigative department of the RF SKP in Tyumen Oblast opened a criminal case. Details of the incident weren’t released by the press service of the oblast administration of the SKP. In turn, Dmitri Chernomorchenko, the head of the Muslim community in Novogo Urengoy, told Interfax that the killing of Imam Isomitdin Akbarov happened the day before near his dacha near Tyumen. “He was a very kind, peaceful, and decent man”, he said, noting that he has no idea about who could’ve ordered the imam’s murder. Mr Chernomorchenko went on to tell us that Imam Akbarov is survived by eight natural and three adopted children. In addition, the imam’s widow is expecting another child soon.

If You Believe that the MP and EP Made a Pact Concerning the Diaspora… You Believe in the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and the Zapruder Film Too!

There is much uninformed gossip floating around the konvertsy element that the EP and MP made a pact concerning the diaspora when Bart went to Russia recently. Anyone who believes that needs a VERY long stay in a rest home. I translated the Russian press reportage on the event, and I can tell you that KMG treated Bart like an inferior, like a suppliant, like an impecunious client. When His Nibs went to Optina Pustyn, one of the holiest sites in Russia, he left Bart in Moscow cooling his heels for two days. Vladimir Vladimirovich didn’t meet with Bart at all… Dmitri Anatolyevich only gave him a minor audience. NO major pronouncement came out of the meeting in Peredelkino. The only “major” figure who appeared with Bart was Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, and that was probably because Yuri Mikhailovich was fishing for support himself (let’s face it, he was in trouble then… his dismissal in September wasn’t sudden). No other major state or ecclesial figure was seen around Bart… the Old Master (Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov) and the Unsinkable Satrap (Metropolitan Yuvenaly Poyarkov) weren’t, for instance. The Wonder tried rescuing Bart’s bacon when they went to Valaam, but I noticed that the main patriarchal website didn’t have extensive photo galleries, the only reportage was that done by the Wonder’s people. For instance, the so-called centre in Chambésy is shut down due to the Greek government cutting off all funds. There is NO planning being done for the notional “Pan-Orthodox Council”… Kevin Allen was dribbling on about less than nothing. There’s NO money, and the MP isn’t paying up for such oddball nonsense. As for Bart moving to New York… that’s pure moonshine. Firstly, it would mean giving up the Greek claims to Constantinople and to Agia Sofia… that ain’t gonna happen in a million years. Secondly, as long as there is ONE Greek left in Istanbul, the Phanar isn’t moving. In any case, Bart is moving heaven and earth to reopen Halki… why should he do that if he’s moving to New York? Thirdly, if Bart was moving to New York, there would be signs of preparation that they couldn’t hide, and there’s no such thing as a “Greek secret”… there’d be all sorts of stories floating around the tables at Baba Yiorgis’ in Astoria! Only a self-centred Americanist autocephalist convert is dumb enough to believe this, truly!

The reason why the folks in Guatemala went off to the EP is clear. Benjamin Peterson screwed up big time. He demanded that they sign over their property to the OCA, and it was “no way, José”. The Guatemalans have the internet and they, no doubt, found out more than they wanted to know, especially after Peterson tried putting the bite on them (I heard he was rather crass about it, too). JP was boasting at PSTGU about Guatemala… this makes him look stupid beyond all words. The folks at the Centre aren’t going to fail to notice his boasts, and they won’t forget what they led to. This situation makes it look like the EP and the MP made an “agreement”… but this was completely independent of any EP/MP canoodling. As for any notional EP/MP agreement on Eastern Europe, look at these:

It’s clear that Bart is up to old tricks. He’s agreed to nothing, and he’s looking to cause trouble where he can. It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature, and it’s not wise to mess with Mother Russia, especially when she’s propping up the Phanariotes. There’s no agreement… it’s the same old, same old… Bart’s trying to pull a fast one and the jerks at SVS (especially those lying spinmeisters Smirensky and Erickson) are pushing the EP line for some reason. The konvertsy are stupid enough to fall for it, mainly because they have no facility in a real Orthodox language, so they don’t know what the press in the homelands is saying. This is so DUMB… it’s like believing that the Jabberwocky lives, and that his house is right next door to Baba Yaga’s! In fact, as regards the idiocy of Chambésy, Saliba said that no one in the Holy Synod of the Local Church of Antioch was aware of its “decisions”. After all, nothing that comes out of Chambésy is binding… it’s nothing but the gassing of overeducated and idle theologians.

To put it in a sentence, Saliba rejected the entire shtick of J P Fathausen and the OCA… he kicked sand in the face of the GOA as well, which means that he got backing from the Local Church of Antioch on that. Philip Saliba isn’t a gambler… he’s one of the smoothest pols who have ever walked the earth, and don’t you forget it. He’s counting on picking up some of the konvertsy parishes in the OCA when it falls apart, that’s clear from his statements. Oh… by the way… do you notice that Saliba made it clear that his “personal finances” are exempt from any audit? You could hide quite a bit under that rubric, no?

There’s going to be no “Pan-Orthodox Conference” in 2013… the Episcopal Assemblies are a sham of the EP… the “Orthodox Census” was a fraud from start to finish (not Professor Krindatch’s fault… SCOBA told him what they wanted… he gave it to them, exactly as they specified (this was a hint to all objective readers that the report was cooked… SCOBA and its amen corner are so dumb that they didn’t notice it)… and I hope that he collected a good fat paycheque for it (this winter, go to Tinos, Alyosha, raise a drink, and smile (you did screw ‘em, and good and hard… good on you, Aleksei!)).

The band plays on as the water laps around the ankles of the passengers… what can one do except head for the boats oneself? Remember, they don’t want to see it, so they “will it away”… this is particularly true of Fathausen… I’ve received information that he simply ignores people and situations that he finds “uncomfortable”, and HOOMie advisors such as Matthew Tate, who feed him pleasant fairy tales, surround him. JP is an indolent Roman emperor (Elagabalus? Nero?) surrounded by scheming eunuchs and questionably loyal Praetorians. Saliba is a vulture waiting for him to fall… in a way, one is sorry for Paffhausen… he’s so clueless and stupid that he doesn’t see his end.

It’s never boring in Orthodoxy in America… it’s always “interesting”, for “up” is “down”, you’ll hear Vanya Behr and Vassa Larina say the wildest things… and expect to be believed, no less! Pass the jug… we’re in for a crook spell, that’s clear. God willing, the number of those scandalised will be minimised… good God, I truly hope so. Shall you take my hand? Good Old Gold

Increasingly, investors are putting their money into good old gold…

More and more often, investors are buying gold. Today, experts believe that private investors hold a sixth of the world’s gold reserves. Private individuals hold 30,000 tonnes (33,069 US short tons) of gold, more than any single central bank. Judging by all appearances, they aren’t going to stop [buying the precious metal]. Now, gold prices hit new records on a regular basis. At present, the record is at 1,320 dollars (39,765 Roubles 953 Euros 837 UK Pounds) per troy ounce (31 grammes (the standard US ounce is 28 grammes)) {This means that a kilo of gold would cost approximately 42,439 USD (1.279 million Roubles 30,620 Euros 26,889 UK Pounds) using standard conversion factors. A standard London Good Delivery Bar of 400 troy ounces of gold (12.44 kilos 27.44 pounds) would cost 528,000 USD (15.869 million Roubles 379,157 Euros 334,171 UK Pounds): editor}. Within a year, some experts expect it will reach 1,500 (45,188 Roubles 1,083 Euros 951 UK Pounds) or even 2,000 dollars (60,250 Roubles 1,443 Euros 1,268 UK Pounds) [per troy ounce]. Two years from now, some think that we’ll see 2,500 dollars (75,313 Roubles 1,804 Euros 1.584 UK Pounds) per troy ounce.

Andrei Nechaev, president of a bank, the Russian Financial Corporation, said in an interview on VOR, “Any sort of event can inflate the cost of gold, such as devaluation of national currencies, budget deficits, public debt, the redemption of troubled assets, measures to stimulate the economy, or a high level of unemployment. In short, investor demand causes it, spurred on by concerns about the future of the global economy. Gold is a traditional defensive asset. Investors, distrusting financial instruments or bank deposits, buy gold, considering that the price of gold will always remain high”.

Previously, there was a “gold rush” in the 1980s; however, it soon ran out of steam, everyone tried to dump their gold on the market, which depressed its price in short order. In the end, one troy ounce of gold sold for a little more than 250 dollars (7,532 Roubles 181 Euros 159 UK Pounds) in 2000. With the onset of the current economic crisis, the situation reversed itself. In 2009, for the first time in 30 years, investors bought more gold than jewellers did. They bought gold in all its various forms, gold coins, bullion, gold dust, even gold mutual funds, which are investment instruments traded on the usual bourses.

Andrei Nechaev gave us a glimpse into the rationale of investors, saying, “Many investors buy gold as a means of speculation, because there’s an overall upward trend, even though there’s a fairly significant fluctuation [in price]. These variations are the basis of most financial speculation. Therefore, on the one hand, gold is attractive to the most cautious investors; on the other, it’s also desirable to speculators. Furthermore, some use it as a remedy against fluctuating currency rates, and, finally, some are simply industrial users [of the metal]”.

However, not only investors buy gold. In internet blogs, employees of Swiss banks said that VIP clients buy large amounts of gold. Thus, one of them bought more than a tonne of gold and moved it to their own vault. This single transaction cost the buyer more than 42 million dollars (1.266 billion Roubles 30.303 million Euros 26.612 million UK Pounds). What is there to say when even George Soros admitted that his foundation has actively bought gold in all its forms recently?

The issue is still in doubt… VOTE! You can help the angel of America win over the devil of Big Capital… yes, you CAN!

No one needs a reminder of the kinds of wealth that Constantinople formerly commanded, particularly prior to the Muslim irruption. However, the complete depletion of that wealth and its consequences are the responsibility of a selfish, greedy, caste-conscious aristocracy that slit the throat of the empire for a short life of ease. Yet, these estates, through the well-known and unexaggerated corruption of the [New Roman] system (de facto, if not de jure) were generally exempt from taxes, which the smallholders had paid. As a result, the tax revenues were simply gone altogether. Foolishness! With this practise, the empire was deprived of defence… no soldiers; no money to pay mercenaries and no money to bribe enemies… their defence was gone. The greater the landholders’ properties became, the smaller the army, and the poorer the state. Moreover, this was a state that couldn’t afford to be poor, as its survival required a well-trained standing army and navy, as well as the ability to bribe parties (or, for the squeamish, “Make campaign contributions”) toward another course of action other than violent invasion. This selfish greed on the part of the landowners was ultimately to blame for the collapse of the empire. By the time that the Emperor turned to them for contributions toward outfitting a fleet or paying for some mercenaries, it was much too late. What’s more, they lost it all in the end. It was all for nothing.

Do observe that the rich in America through their “lobbyists” and directly, contribute greatly to a culture of corruption that’s pervasive today. Through their bribes… oops, “campaign contributions”… they’ve bought off crook pols; they’ve avoided paying their fair share of taxes. At the same time, they’re stepping up efforts to ship our jobs abroad, and the pols (and the Tea Party) simply smile idiot grins of approval. It’s a nasty little replay of the scenario offered above, isn’t it?

The Tea Party approves of this godless greed, and it wraps it into a pseudo-Christian Sectarian package, which makes it all the worse. Just because someone is anti-abortion doesn’t make them angels… and being pro-choice doesn’t make them devils. We have to choose between two not-so-good choices… the Tea Party sorts want to suck out our insides and replace it with “Evangelical” goo… the Secularists would leave our inner life alone. Therefore, let’s examine the Tea Party’s economic platform, such as it is.

Look at the foolish tax cuts that George W Bush enacted for the rich in the midst of two undeclared (but very real) and nasty little colonial wars on the other side of the globe. The logistics chain is long, convoluted, and VERY EXPENSIVE in both cases. Yet… the Tea Party and the Republicans scream about subjecting poor and middle-income people to tax increases unless the rich are given their share of the swag. Don’t forget… the rich INCREASED their wealth, both absolutely and proportionately in the midst of the current depression. They REFUSE to bear their share of the costs of the current crisis and plan to cut further jobs to line their pockets… in short, they are putting a knife to the throat of all Americans.

The Tea Party SUPPORTS this… the Republicans SUPPORT this. All Orthodox should realise that most of the konvertsy SUPPORT this (I was reading a clergyman’s website that was obviously pro-Tea Party… it convinced me that these people never really left their Sectarian roots). In essence, New Rome fell because it cut taxes on the rich and was starved of revenue, as a result… if we continue on that path, we’ll end the same way. There’s no way around it.

Vote AGAINST the Tea Party in November… it’s the only truly PATRIOTIC thing to do!
