Jehovah’s Witnesses Refuse Blood Transfusions in Russia… Doctors say that there have been 18 Unnecessary Deaths

The doctors weren’t trying to hurt the kids… they were doing their best to SAVE them. If a JW nutter won’t allow a blood transfusion for a child, they should be overruled… full stop. To think that an innocent child died unnecessarily because of sectarian lunacy… that’s sickening.

______________________________

The refusal of medically indicated blood transfusions by Jehovah’s Witnesses sectarians resulted in the death of 18 patients, including eight children, according to an article on Thursday in Komsomolskaya Pravda (KP) citing examples of such deaths. Two criminal cases were opened concerning the deaths of children in such cases, the first was filed in Kogalym (in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug in Western Siberia), and a second was opened in October in Moscow. The mother of the child who died in Kogalym refuses to recognise any criminal responsibility in her action. “I wanted the best treatment for him! I told the doctors, ‘Blood isn’t medicine! Blood can be infected!’” KP quoted the mother as saying. After the institution of criminal proceedings in Kogalym, investigators from prokuratura raided the premises of the local JWs, they seized prohibited books, as the courts previously recognised some Jehovah’s Witnesses literature as extremist material for its attacks against other religions. The child’s mother tried to impose her rules on her eldest son, who is in school, citing her “parental rights”, but his teachers stood up for him against her, he’s a well-mannered boy, good at sports. As a result, his mother didn’t drag him to JW affairs and didn’t impose any of their religious taboos upon him. Under the article of the Criminal Code that she’s charged under, the mother could face a year in prison, but, more likely, she shall face a fine, instead.

Editor’s Note:

Hurrah… Russia’s putting these sectarian slimers in their place. They’re not Christians, and we shouldn’t treat them as such. You don’t need a PhD to discern who’s a Christian and who’s a sectarian. The former range from Low Church Reformation groups such as the Mennonites to Full-Blooded Churches such as the Orthodox… the latter are Mormons, Pentecostalists, JWs, and other assorted Holy Rollers and Snake Handlers. Oh… Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin are Sectarians… NOT Christians (and Mr Beck is a Christian Apostate). If you’re a Christian, you shouldn’t hang around with or support such (what does that say about JP’s photo op with the First Profit of the Mormons?)… it’s like lighting a candle at Satan’s altar. “Jayzuss” isn’t the Lord Christ… we forget that at our peril.

If a child’s life is in danger… if we don’t act, we’re guilty before God and man. If an adult wants to die for some nutzo delusion… let them… if they to impose such on innocent children, we should step in. God will bless us for it.

Father Confessor at St Andrei Bogolyubsky Convent Preached Against Modern Passports… Yet, Had One Himself

Archimandrite Pyotr Kucher, the confessor at St Andrei Bogolyubsky Convent, urged his spiritual children to refuse to use modern passports, yet, at the same time, all the nuns in leading positions at the convent had all the necessary official documentation required of Russian citizens. “All these people, including Fr Pyotr, have all the required state documents. Fr Pyotr went to Mount Athos… naturally, without documents, he wouldn’t have gotten there”, a source in the Vladimir diocesan office told Interfax-Religion on Thursday. He went on to tell us, “He told his many followers that they couldn’t even think of using such documents. There’s a strange contradiction here… you will die [if you will have such documents], but the leading lights at the convent weren’t afraid to die, so they had all the necessary documents”. In the meantime, the official website of the Diocese of Vladimir reported that the ruling bishop repeatedly appealed to Fr Pyotr, “admonishing him about the need to observe all civil regulations”. At one time, several years ago, former Bishop Diomid Dzyuban of Anadyr and Chukotka preached against the use of modern Russian passports by Orthodox Christians, as, in his opinion, the pages contained a hidden form of the “number of the beast”. “This passport hasn’t yet passed its third hearing in the Duma, it’s not legal, but the old [Soviet] passport is legitimate”, Bishop Diomid said in an interview with Interfax-Religion before his defrocking [by the MP Archpastoral Council]. At the same time, Diomid admitted that he carried one of the modern Russian passports. “I live in a border zone, and if you don’t have a passport, there’s no question, you’ll be arrested, and you’ll go to gaol”, he said.

Editor’s Note:

The plot thickens in the St Andrei Bogolyubsky Convent child abuse case. Not only are there allegations of child abuse, apparently, the convent’s leadership, along with its father confessor, were engaged in crank preaching. OUCH! I don’t have to have any prophetic ability to predict that there’s gonna be a conviction before this is all over. This Fr Pyotr had better pack his thermal undies… at least, he’s going to be sent far away (if he’s lucky), or he’ll end breakin’ rocks under the Northern Lights (if he’s unlucky… I vote for the latter, not the former). Crank preaching and sexual abuse often go hand in hand. Does it surprise you that Gleb Podmoshensky, Panteleimon Metropoulos, and Sam Green were all paedophiles? They all had cranky and idiosyncratic religious teaching too… I wouldn’t trust anything from St Herman of Alaska Brotherhood even now. Same caveat goes for SVS after the Iliff affair. Interesting… sexual abuse “disappears” in American Orthodox circles when it’s convenient. Child abusing pervs in Russia get sent to break rocks… you can’t say the same about those in our circles here in the USA (Feodosy Lazor, anyone? Remember, JP made a big deal of concelebrating with him on Memorial Day). I hope that the authorities in Manitoba are as hard on the OCA as the authorities in Russia are going to be to this crook priest and his harpy supporters at the convent. It’s the only way that some people will learn…

Today, Zakarpatya (Carpatho-Russia) is recovering from oppression by pro-American Galician Uniate nationalist nutters (don’t forget… the Galicians were willing and eager Nazi collaborators, too… great bunch, aren’t they?). God willing, under President Yanukovich, there will be a restoration of regional autonomy (at least, the CIA-trained and financed SBU goons have been muzzled). The westernmost outpost of Orthodox Holy Rus deserves better than what it received from the pro-Vatican Orangies… don’t forget them… they’re small, yes, but they’re the egg from whence Orthodox Holy Rus sprang (and I speak as a Great Russian). Don’t forget the Carpatho-Russian Russophiles murdered by the Hapsburgs (and their Uniate running dog lackeys) at Terezin and Tallerhof… especially not St Maksim Sandovich of Lemkovshchyna, killed for his fearless confession of the Orthodox faith. As Olga Berggolts put it, “No one is forgotten… nothing is forgotten”… let my right hand wither if I forget our past… the Uniates are NOT our friends.
