Rightwing AP Journalist Offers Crank “Analysis” of Budget Deal… Labels TP Defeat “GOP Victory”

Read this POS rationalisation (you can do it… I did):

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110409/ap_on_re_us/us_spending_fights_analysis

Well, the money spent on this shill posing as a journalist by the Corporate Media was money well spent… in the sense that he turned out a seemingly plausible piece of lying propaganda in the face of a smashing Tea Party defeat (it’s Newspeak of the highest order). Firstly, the TPers got less than 40 percent of the spending cuts that they originally demanded. That’s not “Republican conservatives were the chief winners in the budget deal that forced Democrats to accept historic spending cuts they strongly opposed”. I’d like to know what Mr Babington is smoking… it’s obviously kick-ass weed. Secondly, the most important thing for the GOP Corporate thugs wasn’t the spending cuts, it was were gutting the EPA and knifing Planned Parenthood… they failed utterly on both issues.

Let’s see… the TPers got less than 40 percent of the cuts that they originally called for; they failed to do ANY damage to the EPA or to Planned Parenthood’s federal funding. In return, President Obama threw them a sop… an end to federal funding for abortion services in the District (not a large item, kids). In anyone’s book, that’s an utter fiasco. This is the BEST that the squalling Tea Party extremists could do… as time passes, more and more rational people are hip to the fact that the TPers are nothing but well-paid “made men” for corporate interests. Support for the Tea Party has been flat for the past year… at about 30 percent… it’s not going to get any better. The Tea Party, in many ways, is nothing but the political expression of Radical Sectarianism (two-thirds of all teabaggers are so-called “Evangelicals” and Mormons), therefore, its appeal is confined to a limited (and geographically localised) segment of the population.

The TPers have never made any inroads into the Pacific Rim or in the Northeast… especially not in the leading conurbations of Greater New York and Greater Los Angeles, nor in Greater Chicago, for that matter. Rahm Emmanuel just won election as mayor in Chicago, after all. If that isn’t a ringing repudiation of all the lunacies spouted by Rush Limboob and Lil’ Mizz Sarah, then, I don’t know what it is! These three CMSAs have about 50 million inhabitants, that is, one in six Americans. That means that the Tea Party starts out with the three most powerful and influential urban areas in the country against them… with this strong base in opposition to rightwing delusions, it’ll be almost impossible for the GOP to win in 2012.

You see, they failed to deliver on any of their threatened policy changes this year. As the Tea Party is an extremist faction, the GOP will be forced to issue even more extreme blustering concerning the 2012 budget… and be just as unable to deliver the goods when it comes time for another mano à mano with Obama and Reid. This time, Obama took down Boehner three falls out of three. Boehner had to cut the size of the proposed budget reduction by more than one-half, Boehner couldn’t make any changes in the EPA, and Boehner failed to cut off federal funds to Planned Parenthood (which hasn’t spent a penny of federal money on abortion services since the Hyde Amendment in ‘76, in any case). In short, a thorough and embarrassing defeat for the GOP… I expect to see more spin on this in the coming weeks.

Don’t forget… Boehner LOST on all three of his proposed points, and lost badly. Break out the bubbly… the GOP won’t be able to afford too many more such “victories”, shall it? Sanity will prevail in the end, I’m sure…

9 April 2011. The Bears of Spring Have Arrived…

A friend of mine sent me the following:

The first bear of Spring was spotted last week about 3 miles (@5 kilometres) from our house, welcome back from Winter, brothers!

That means that it’s truly and really Spring. Today, Nicky and I went out to Saratoga Springs on this glorious day to Congress Park. That’s where we first kissed… I think that one HAS to connect not only with people, but also with places and things. The temp was about 15 or so (that’s 60 degrees Fahrenheit) and the sun was shining… now, that’s a day to celebrate by being out in it! Yesterday, we took a pleasant motor out to Thatcher Park on the Helderberg Escarpment (about a half–hour from Albany), and we saw the first robin of Spring.

The world is wakening again after the Winter hibernation… that means that Easter is soon going to be upon us. Are you ready? It’s not only Христось воскресе (as important as that is)… it’s the kulich, the egg-knocking contest, and the Easter Bunny. SMILE… God didn’t create you to be “a misery-guts with a face three feet long”… Christianity IS joyful, after all!

9 April 2011. You Can’t Make Up Shit Like This… Here’s the Sectarian View of Life Naked and Unashamed

Take a look at this cartoon… it illustrates the radical homolatry at the heart of Sectarianism… it’s why we can’t have anything to do with it (neither should other Christians)… it’s why we must fight those who’re trying to contaminate Christ’s Church with Sectarian influences…

Editor’s Foreword:

When I first saw this, I had to read it, not twice, but three times, in order to understand that the author was being serious, not satirical. This is what Sectarians believe, and it’s not Christian in the least. You can plough through it all… I did. What utter twaddle and wickedness! These people are Antichrist’s servants; we must fight them at every turn, and oppose those who are trying to contaminate the Church with such Sectarian rubbish (such as JP and the konvertsy).

Report: Future Jobs Won’t Meet Basic Needs

Future jobs will not pay enough to support a basic standard of living, according to a new report. The study shows that many new jobs will be in sectors such as food services and retail, which are notoriously low paying and devoid of benefits. According to the report, a single parent with two children must earn about 30,000 dollars (841,000 Roubles 21,000 Euros 18,500 UK Pounds) to maintain a decent standard of living, whereas a household with two wage earners needs an income of about 68,000 dollars (1.906 million Roubles 47,000 Euros 41,500 UK Pounds). This appears to be rather bad news indeed. However, does this dark cloud have a silver lining?

There are benefits to experiencing economic hardship. It forces one to re-evaluate their priorities, to focus on what is truly important in life. It affords one an opportunity to be thankful for what they do have. It engenders an “attitude of gratitude”. When faced with financial deprivation, people are forced to cut non-essential expenditures such as entertainment and junk food. This offers the potential for tremendous benefits. Spending less time at the multiplex allows more time to cultivate and nurture interpersonal relationships; cutting down on unhealthy food makes one, well, healthier. Economic hardship might inspire some to tap into their inner entrepreneur. Today’s wage slave, out of sheer necessity, may become tomorrow’s captain of industry, providing jobs and opportunities for many. Most importantly, financial hardship will force some to ask the really big questions in life… Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where am I going?

Many will come to realise that they come from God, who created the world and everything in it. They’ll understand that because we fail to live up to God’s standards, we are alienated from Him. The Bible refers to this as sin, and sin creates a barrier between us and God (John 3.19). They’ll come to understand that God desires to have a personal relationship with them, and that the only way to bridge the gap that separates them from God… and to have eternal life… is to place their faith in Jesus Christ (John 14.6), whom God sent to earth to die on the cross for humanity’s sins. Then, they’ll understand that God approved of Jesus’ atoning death as the way to eternal life by raising Him from the dead.

Rather unhinged nonsense, isn’t it? It’s all “pie in the sky when you die”… such smarmy treacly rubbish causes atheism in all too many hearers (usually, of the most virulent sort). However, this is what Sectarians DO believe, and it’s not Christian at all… it’s not even close. The konvertsy and JP want to infect the Church with such nonsense. That’s why we can’t compromise with them… it’s why they belong outside of the Church… they NEVER were one with us in the first place. You can have Patriarchs Kirill and Bartholomew, who stand for the REAL Church… or you can have JP, Dreher, Mattingly, Freddie Matthewes-Greeen, the HOOMies, et al, who want to make us Sectarian Slime with funny audio-visuals. I know where I stand…

Here is the “Faith” of the Free Market Neoliberalism of the Teabaggers, Konvertsy, and JP… It’s Not Only Greed… It’s Anti-Christ in Size 12 Boots

The Tea Party/Sectarians and their TRUE god… see how they grub for bucks… THIS is what Paffhausen wants us to be in alliance with!

Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they’re sure trying to do so, it’s going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can’t and won’t compromise. I know; I’ve tried to deal with them… I’m warning them today… I’ll fight them every step of the way if they try to dictate their moral convictions to all Americans in the name of “conservatism”.

When you say “radical right” today, I think of these moneymaking ventures by fellows like Pat Robertson and others who are trying to take the Republican Party away from the Republican Party, and make a religious organisation out of it. If that ever happens, kiss politics goodbye.

Editor’s Foreword:

A friend sent me the following link. It’s short, it’s to the point, and it’s a stimulating read (I read it twice in five minutes). It describes the wickedness of the Neoliberalism regnant in the US Republican Party (and the Conservative Party in Canada and the UK) and in European Liberalism (when KMG attacks “liberalism”, he’s attacking what Americans call “conservatism”). If we don’t turn back, and soon, America will be the stronghold of the Antichrist, and Radical Sectarianism will be his faith.

Read this:

http://www.yesmagazine.org/blogs/david-korten/greed-is-not-a-virtue?utm_source=wkly20110408&utm_medium=yesemail&utm_campaign=mrKorten

Now, compare the description of the evil of Neoliberalism given above with the words of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill Gundyaev of Moscow and all the Russias:

The modern economy is built largely on fraud; it creates money out of thin air. Money is a token of human labour and of our God-given resources, such as coal, ore, and oil, along with our intelligence, physical labour, culture, and spirituality. However, every company produces its own money in the form of shares, which is passed onto the secondary market, becoming not just simple securities; they’re traded and used as items of speculation. If these mere phantasms earn billions, not even backed by labour or real capital, then, how can such an economy exist? Who’s going to pay for all of this? Why, the simple worker is going to, who produces the value behind all of this bubble. We need a fair economic system where money and capital are equivalent and are the expression of real work.

Compare that to Mr Korten:

Step back to take in the big picture, and it turns out Wall Street market fundamentalists have proclaimed the seven deadly sins of pride, greed, envy, anger, lust, gluttony, and sloth to be virtues. In turn, they have proclaimed the seven life-serving virtues of humility, sharing, love, compassion, self-control, moderation, and passion to be sins against the market.

KMG and Mr Korten are in TOTAL agreement. I’d add that Benedict the Pope of Rome agrees with them… Patriarch Bartholomew agrees with them… JP disagrees with them and supports the teabaggers. What’s wrong with that picture? I’ll tell you what’s wrong… JP’s stance opposes what Our Lord Christ taught:

But woe unto you that are rich! For ye have received your consolation. Woe unto you that are full! For ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! For ye shall mourn and weep. Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! For so did their fathers to the false prophets.

The Gospel According to St Luke 6.24-26

The entire edifice of Free Market Neoliberalism is rotten to the core and crank in its essence; we must raze it to the ground, burn the remnants, and fill in its foundations. It’s only been in existence since 1981 in the USA… Ronald Reagan opened up this Pandora’s Box. In 1981, the richest 1 percent of the population owned 9 percent of the national wealth; today, that figure is 24 percent, and it’s rising. Yes, there’s been “income redistribution”… the rich have stolen from working people for over a generation, and none dare call it evil… none dare label it wicked… none dare stand up and identify it as the faith of the Antichrist.

We see this perverse faith in the TPers… what’s amazing is that about 60 percent of the self-identified TPers are also Radical Sectarians (“Born-Againers” and Mormons). This leads one to an interesting conclusion. Sectarianism is so anti-Christian, so against the real teachings of Our Lord Christ (despite all its caterwauling to the contrary), that one must come to only one conclusion. Sectarianism is the religion of the Antichrist… Neoliberalism is its political expression. This makes it clear what practising Christians and what people of good will must do. We must link hands and defeat this monstrous abomination… yes; it’s an “abomination of desolation” as the Scripture put it. This is the overriding task of our day. We must overlook disagreements on all secondary issues… those must be left for another day. At present, the task facing us is the destruction (not merely the defeat) of Neoliberalism. We shouldn’t allow useless disputes on abortion, “global warming”, race, or religion… the Neoliberals have used these in, sadly, mostly successful, efforts to divide us and keep us weak. I’m a person of Conservative instinct… and Neoliberalism isn’t “conservative!” It’s Radicalism; it’s the enthronement of money as the “sum of all things” and the overturning of settled communities for the sake of filthy lucre. That’s why JP’s kissing the naked bums of the Tea Party is so filthy and blasphemous (that’s what his loud public involvement in the “culture war” truly means).

None of the GOP/TPers are conservative… no, not in the least. Barry Goldwater was right… “But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can’t and won’t compromise. I know; I’ve tried to deal with them… I’m warning them today… I’ll fight them every step of the way if they try to dictate their moral convictions to all Americans in the name of ‘conservatism’”. As practising Christians, we have a choice… justice and Christ, or, greed and Antichrist. In broader terms, shall we have the primacy of money or shall we have the primacy of people?

I stand with Patriarchs Kirill and Bartholomew… I stand with Benedict the Pope of Rome… I agree with Barry Goldwater’s critique of the Far Right… what say you? The Lady or the Tiger? Money or Life? Remember Our Lord Christ’s words, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” Follow our leaders… follow the truth… follow Christ… that’s what I say. Shall you come with me?
