NO! Byelorussia’s NOT for Sale…

This is the REAL reason why official Washington hates Aleksandr Grigorovich… he refused to sell out his country for filthy lucre… and he refused to dismantle the Soviet social welfare system. The latter made the Byelorussian people the most secure and well-off group on the ex-Soviet space. It tells you volumes about American “democrats” (and their running dog lackeys in Eastern Europe)…

Dear compatriots!

I earnestly greet you on Christ’s Easter. What meaning does this holiday have for all of us? Firstly, it points up the lofty truth of the Evangelical counsels calling us to appreciate the precious gift of life, to keep peace in our own souls, to be compassionate and merciful not only within our circle of friends and relatives, but to our country, to love all people. These qualities, brought to us by the Christian faith, have become integral features of the Byelorussian national character. The whole world knows that Byelorussia is a land of peace, with good and caring people. This year, the followers of all Christian churches celebrate Easter on a common date. For our multi-confessional Byelorussian state, this is an event filled with special meaning. We’re strong because we’re united, because we always help each other out. Let’s trust that the grand celebration of the Resurrection of Christ, which embodies the victory of truth and goodness, will bring all of us hope and faith in the future. Let peace and harmony prevail in every home, in every family, and let the light and warmth of these holy days light up and warm us all the year round. What’s more, may God protect our homeland from troubles and adversity. I wish you good health and prosperity, and I hope that you’re in a spring-like mood.

The Resurrection of Christ fills people’s hearts with good hope, with faith in the best. It’s gratifying that this great holiday has become truly universal, giving love and warmth to everyone. Easter is truly a victory of good over evil, bringing joy to our peoples, the Orthodox Church, and the world. I thank the Patriarch for his spiritual support during a difficult hour for Byelorussia, and for his prayers for the people of Byelorussia.

Editor’s Note:

This greeting is from the most-hated man on Foggy Bottom’s hit list… it sounds rather rational to me. Perhaps, there’s something odd in the water around the Beltway… after all, Victor Potapov used to scream that the late Patriarch Aleksei was a CIA agent, and JP jumps up and down like a monkey, defending such dubious sorts as Bobby K, Joe Fester, Ray Velencia, and Gregory Jensen (and preferring the company of the First Profit of the Mormons rather than that of a bishop of the confessor UOC/MP). Both of them frequent the company of GOP teabaggers… that tells you something, doesn’t it (don’t forget what His Nibs thinks of the so-called “Free” Market)?

You can have President Lukashenko or you can have the Washington Times… not a hard choice, is it?
