Slowpoke Rodríguez (“Lento Rodríguez” in Spanish, or, sometimes, “Tranquilino”)… the mascot and official spokesman for oca.org. “Señor, I’ll post the news when I get around to it, maybe tomorrow, or, maybe next Tuesday… who knows? But you better send your money, now… I carry a gun”… BTW, Lento Rodríguez is smashingly popular in Spanish-speaking countries… who woulda thunk it?

As of 12.30 EDT Friday 6 May 2011, there’s nothing up on oca.org on the doings of the Holy Synod and MC over the past two days of meetings in Chicago (they’ve put fluff up, so, they’re operational). Note well that the pushy loudmouth Stokoe hasn’t posted a thing since last Saturday. He believes in keeping you in the dark, too. His starry-eyed amen corner of Rebecca Matovic, Pat Reardon, George Washburn, and all the rest of the drooling konvertsy are cheering on a place-seeking ecclesial careerist who’s just as secretive as all the rest of them are. I shouldn’t gloat (and I’m not)… it’s a rotten feeling to see that your cherished dream is nothing but a wheezing vehicle for the ambitious, greedy, and grasping. God knows that I REALISE how that feels like… it’s not pleasant in the least. Truly, it’s rather horrid… and I feel sorry for dupes like Rebecca (have a drink, dear… the world’s crank at times)… but I shan’t waste any sympathy for the Washburns and Reardons of this world.
I’m far from being “emotional”… I’m noting an observable fact… both oca.org and Mark Stokoe CHOSE to keep you in the dark about the doing of the Holy Synod and MC. In the Orthodox homelands, if the bishops tried being that secretive, they’d be the edible centrepiece of a Grand Dixie Fry and Potlatch (with VVP as the Leading Chef and Fry Cook). However, do note that I’m not “angry”… I’m not “emotional”… I’m not being “narrow” (after all, I’m expecting the OCA to live up to the standards of Legit Orthodoxy in the homelands). I’m reporting to you a fact. Never forget… passivity is not “passive”… it’s an active choice. Mark Stokoe and oca.org CHOSE to keep you in the dark… I most certainly didn’t force them to do so. They did so of their own free will. They chose to be secretive. They chose to keep you on edge.
You can trust these Cloud Cuckoo Land salesmen and sign on to their “American Dream”… or, you can break free of them, to go home to Mother Church. It’s your choice. I’m only a reporter… I’m not a prophet… but, even so, shall you join me? There’s a while yet to go before we reach the Last Homely Home…
