Cookie the Bookie Sez It’s Time to Look at the Tote Board! What are the Sites ACTUALLY Doing in May 2011?

It’s time for a peek at how the sites are REALLY doing. As always, I use objective third-party figures. If you want to check the veracity of what follows do access:

http://www.quantcast.com/ocanews.org

http://www.quantcast.com/oca.org

http://www.quantcast.com/frederica.com

http://www.quantcast.com/byztex.blogspot.com

http://www.quantcast.com/ad-orientem.blogspot.com

http://www.quantcast.com/02varvara.wordpress.com

http://www.quantcast.com/aoiusa.org

http://www.quantcast.com/orrologion.blogspot.com

******

Firstly, let’s look at the graphs for monthly readership:

Voices from Russia (VFR) 02varvara.wordpress.com

******

Orthodox Christians for Accountability (OCA Stokoe) ocanews.org

******

Orthodox Church in America (OCA Syosset) oca.org

******

Frederica (FMG) frederica.com

******

Byzantine Texas (BT) byztex.blogspot.com

******

Ad-Orientem (AO) ad-orientem.blogspot.com

******

There are no graphs available for AOI (aoiusa.org) (Jacobses’ site) and Orrologion (orrologion.blogspot.com). At one time, AOI did have 2,200 readers a month, but as it has dropped below 2,000 readers a month, it no longer has a graph posted.

******

Now, let’s look at the above data in tabular form:

  1. VFR:
25,700
  1. OCA Syosset:
24,600
  1. OCA Stokoe:
16,200
  1. FMG:
10,300
  1. BT:
  4,300
  1. OA:
  2,600

There is no data available for AOI or Orrologion… they are under 2,000 readers a month.

******

This is straightforward in interpretation… it means that I’m on first… full stop.

******

Now, let’s look at site frequency… that is, how often do readers log onto a site? If a site has 100,000 hits a month, but only 7 percent from “addicts” (those who log onto a site daily) (VFR), it has a greater reach than a site with 400,000 hits with 97 percent of hits going to its “addicts” (Stokoe’s site). To put it another way, the lower the proportion of addicts you have, the greater the potential for growth, and the greater your reach. Conversely, the higher the proportion of addicts on a site indicates “preaching to the choir”… usually it signifies an inbred and stagnant audience. Here’s the tables:

VFR

******

OCA Stokoe

******

OCA Syosset

******

AO

******

There is no information listed for any of the other sites that were named in the monthly readership category… I’m sorry.

******

The above is even clearer than the monthly readership figures are. That is to say, my site has a “normal” distribution of readership, whereas the other sites are only reaching a static and morbid set of “addicts”. The figures speak for themselves. That is, people trust my site… they don’t trust oca.org, they don’t Stokoe, they don’t trust “John” of Ad-Orientem, they don’t trust Freddie, Orr, Jacobses, “Josephus Flavius” of Byzantine Texas, or Pat Reardon. I seem to see a massive crisis in American Russian Orthodoxy. The people are “voting with their feet”… not only on the internet, but in real life, as well. Matushka Nina was telling me how young people are flocking to St Nick’s in Olyphant PA, because that parish refuses to go along with the latest inanities from SVS.

There’s something in the wind, but I’ve no idea what it is, exactly. Needless to say, Syosset, SVS, JP, Fester, the Forty Families, the OCA and ROCOR apparats, and Jordanville have no clue, either. American Orthodoxy in its present form is unstable, and it’s prone to a sudden and dangerous collapse, if we don’t do something soon. The idiocy of autocephaly must end… the independent existence of the ROCOR must end… in short, it’s time to go home.

There’s no place like home…

Oh, one last thing, Cookie the Bookie ain’t laying good odds on JP & Co… you know what to do…
