21 May 2011. Russia Does NOT Forget Its Heroes!

The badge says, “My Grandpa, Pyotr Stepanovich Baibakov, 1922-2003, 164th Guards Rifle Regiment, 55th Guards Rifle Division, Order of Lenin, Order of the October Revolution, three Orders of the Red Banner, Order of Suvorov 2nd Class, named to the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR”. Russia does NOT forget its heroes… we keep their memory fresh and green. On the other hand, reflect well on the fact that the US Republican Party is a pack of grasping selfish moneygrubbers who elevate mercenary filth like Dropout Scott Walker and Donald Trump over the real heroes of America (that’s not to mention yellow cowards like Rush Limboob, Dick Cheney, Newt Gingrich, Sean Hannity, and Bill O’Reilly). It’s too much of a muchness, isn’t it?

Know who our heroes are… remember and honour them! Give them glory and respect! Know who the soulless moneygrubbers are… remember them, too… so that you know who to run out of town on a rail! Give ‘em all you’ve got… and make sure that they’re dead after you shoot them. One of these things is NOT like the other…

21 May 2011. A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words… Memorial Cross in Stavropol Krai for All Cossacks and All Russian Soldiers Who Fell on Both Sides of the Civil War

This cross is at St Lazarus Church in Pyatigorsk, it honours the fallen of both sides in the Civil War. THIS is what modern Russia is all about… the fusion of the best of the White and the Red legacies… their union shall result a new and more vigorous hybrid. Note well that SVS and Stokoe’s rabble don’t tell you about this… they’re culpably ignorant, for they’re addicted to Pat Buchanan, George Weigel, and Paul Goble, and other wilfully-blind Western commentators. As for me, I look for the REAL… not in the two capitals… but out in the REAL Russia… in the provinces. You can choose to observe what Ivan Ivanich and Maria Ivanovna are doing, as I do, or, you can choose to hobnob with unrepresentative zapadnik pseudo-intellectuals, as the autocephalists do.

You can choose to accept reality for what it is, or, you can opt to see only what you find agreeable… I choose the former, what about you?
