You’d Think that this Concerned a REAL Organisation…

Let’s keep this short and sweet. The so-called “Episcopal Assembly” is a completely meaningless and toothless “talk shop” run by the EP (it’s completely under Bart’s thumb… it’s really SCOBA, Part Deux). It has no power over any given diocese or the authority to extract funds from the various dioceses… it has no real budget (if it lacks real funding, it lacks real existence, QED)… it has no canonical standing… it has no mechanism to enforce any of its “decisions”. It’s a forum; bishops can talk to one another… it’s no more than that. It’s an EP attempt to legitimate its claim to all of diaspora Orthodoxy. I’ll tell you what’s hilarious… the OCA’s pumping this up to the skies… and the EP still refuses to recognise the “autocephaly” of the OCA. In fact, its position hasn’t changed one iota, in fact, and the EP is forcing the OCA to sit up and beg like a dog for a seat at table (after JP’s unhinged remarks about the GOAA in the past, that’s something that’s causing great glee in certain quarters). In short, this is another phantasmal will o’ the wisp from Syosset and SVS… remember, they once told us, “Orthodoxy was the fourth major faith in the USA” (one of ADS’ fave rants), and that there were one million people in the OCA alone. This is cut from the same piece of mouldy cloth… hang on to your money… the OCA is still on the outs with the EP… and it always shall be. JP and Co are grasping for whatever straw that they can grasp… let them sink… “For the good of the Church”.

I asked God to take away my pride, but God said to me, “No! I can’t take away your pride; you have to renounce it yourself”. I asked God to grant me patience, but God answered, “No! I can’t just give you patience; you can only get it through endurance. I asked God to give me happiness, but God said, “No! I can give you a blessing, but it’s up to you whether you’re happy or not. I asked God to spare me pain, but God said. “No! Suffering helps you to remember God, and it helps you to become closer to Me”. I asked for strength, so, God sent me trials to harden me. I asked for wisdom, so, God gave me problems; I learned how to solve them. I asked God to teach me how to love people just as He loves me. God said, “Now, you understand what you must ask of me”, and He sent me people who needed my help. Even though I didn’t receive anything that I wanted, I got everything that I needed!

Editor’s Note:

This story made me think of the konvertsy. They run about with long faces, constipated attitudes, and spoilsport legalism. Frankly, these snotty toddlers don’t have a clue as to what Orthodoxy’s all about… yet, they have the goddamned gall to lecture all and sundry, telling us what’s “wrong” with our practise of the faith, and that we have to return to a “pristine and pure” third-century AD state of affairs. I have only the following to say to them:

CUT OUT THE GOOFY SHIT… GOD’S TRYING TO TALK TO YOU, AND YOU CAN’T HEAR HIM AS LONG AS YOU KEEP SPOUTING YOUR BOOKISH DRIVEL.

I speak that in love, kids. If they don’t stop their foolishness, one of three things is gonna happen, I guarantee:

  1. They’ll leave the Church, disappointed with the “laxity” of Christians
  2. They’ll make everyone about them miserable as all hell, and all normal people will avoid their company
  3. They’ll be braying jackasses laden down with books, ignored by all decent people (makes one think of SVS and the Blunder, no?)

God talks to us every day… we just don’t listen…

Guess Who Didn’t Come to Dinner: Who Were the OCA No-Shows at Fathausen’s Dixie Fry at St Nick’s on Tuesday?

Please, do check out what I’m going to say against the posted official version of events:

http://www.oca.org/news/2549

http://www.patriarchia.ru/db/text/1495369.html

http://russianchurchusa.org/ru/news/199

These OCA ruling bishops DIDN’T show up for this Dixie Fry:

  • Michael Dahulich of New York
  • Melchisadek Pleska of Pittsburgh
  • Nikon Liolin of Boston
  • Matthias Moriak of Chicago
  • Benjamin Peterson of San Francisco
  • Nathaniel Popp of Detroit

Do note that Tikhon Mollard (a known weakling, pushover, and lickspittle) did show up, but that the local ruling bishop, Michael Dahulich, did NOT. That’s highly unusual… a major love feast occurs in a diocese, and the ruling diocesan doesn’t’ show up! In addition, Gerasim Eliel, a figure deeply compromised by long connection with the known sodomite Gleb Podmoshensky, was there (is the ROCOR going to rewrite history concerning GP to suit Fathausen?). Furthermore, there was NO advance announcement of this on oca.org… obviously, it was an event meant only for the cognoscenti. In short, Fathausen is trying to give the impression that the MP is supporting him; he’s giving the “bird” to the OCA Holy Synod (clearly, this affair was kept under wraps for that reason).

Firstly, the official MP handout doesn’t include the clause, “with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill Gundyaev of Moscow and all the Russias” (or words to that effect). If KMG had the slightest connection to this, you could be sure that such an imprimatur would be inserted… it would bolster El Gordo’s claim that he had the Centre’s unstinting support. If this had connection with any faction at the Centre, it smells like something run up in Bolshaya Ordynka, in the Blunder’s secret laboratory. By the way… did you see where Mark Golovkov (the head of the “shadow” DECR), not the Blunder, served liturgy on 24 May at Sancta Maria Maggiore in Rome, whilst the Blunder had to settle for a meeting with Prince Phillip in London? I’d say that the liturgy in Rome was a “Lenin’s Tomb” moment… JP had best not count on the Blunder overly much… if he becomes a liability, the Blunder will deep-six Fathausen without hesitation.

Secondly, the website for the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA gives the impression that RT… Russia Today… was involved in the event, if so, it’s not reflected on their website or on their You Tube site. I used the search terms “St Nicholas”, “St. Nicholas”, and “Saint Nicholas”, and found nothing on either site. For those who wish to check for themselves, the URLs are:

http://rt.com/

http://www.youtube.com/user/RussiaToday?feature=chclk

To sum up, it’s all rather surreal. Here’s a “historic” event, and the ruling bishop for the local OCA diocese isn’t invited! I’ll be blunt… it would’ve have better for the event to be cancelled than to have it go forward without the local ruling diocesan. It shows the utter desperation of Fathausen and those about him… why is Hilarion Kapral “enabling” such a questionable figure, one who has deep ties with a figure deposed by the ROCOR Holy Synod for cause… and who refuses to repudiate his ties with that figure publicly?

One last thing… Mark Stokoe has NO commentary on this event… and it happened three days ago. Bear in mind… he’s not a journalist… he’s a former Syosset Chancery drone who’s lusting to be back in the corridors of “power” (such as it is amongst us). His silence is interesting… is he waiting to find out what Lyonyo and BP think on the matter? After all, he’s had sufficient time to e-mail them and get his marching orders from them…

Again, it’s not what happened and who was there that’s important… rather, notice who wasn’t there and draw the proper conclusions. Most of all, ask yourself a question, “If this event happened on East 97th between Fifth and Mad, why wasn’t Michael Dahulich there?” Yes… why wasn’t he there?

EVERYWHERE THE GOOD NEWS TOLLS

Everywhere the good news tolls,

To all the churches, the people go.

Dawn looks down from heavens…

Christ is risen! Christ is risen!

The Earth awakens,

Decorating the fields,

Spring is coming, full of wonders!

Christ is risen! Christ is risen!
