“For Putin. And All” (literal), “For Putin… For All of Us” (idiomatic)

On Thursday, supporters of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin launched a website encouraging internet users to upload their photos and videos in support of the premier. The project’s organisers called on users to declare their support publicly for Putin “amidst an information war against the Prime Minister”. Moscow State University (MGU) students Vladimir Tabak and Maksim Perlin, the masterminds of a 2011 erotic calendar dedicated to Putin, featuring 12 female journalism students posing in just their underwear, launched the Cyrillic domain website, moiputin.rf. In a press release, the organisers said, “This is our personal initiative; the project has no links to any parties or political organisations. The website will give users an opportunity to upload their photographs and videos in support of Putin and organise various offline events and flash mobs”. Tabak and Perlin believe that the project would supplement Putin’s official campaign, targeting a younger audience.

Let’s not be coy… the USA’s funding the opponents of VVP. Hell, the Russians caught US Ambassador McFaul trying to stir up anti-Putin elements, leading President Medvedev to jam a rocket up his arse in public. McFaul deserved it; he’s an Interventionist swine… they’re as bad as the Neocons are. The only difference between them is that Neocons are formally Republicans; the Interventionists are formally Democrats. Both cream their jeans over warmongering in foreign parts, feeling up airline passengers in the name of “security”, torturing suspects, bloated Pentagon budgets, and holding prisoners indefinitely in Guantánamo without trial. Yezhov and Yagoda would’ve disowned them… at least, they weren’t smarmy and pietistic about it, and they were openly for “Vlast” (Russian for “Power”, it has potent overtones missing in English)… “Humanitarian Intervention!” Well, the Americans have been doing this for a long time… they won’t stop until someone bloodies their nose. May that day come QUICKLY… will VVP do it? God willing, he shall. Remember, he foiled the American attempt to muck about in South Ossetia in ’08 (of course, Saakashvili was an incompetent corrupt pig… that didn’t help matters for them)…
