Greece’s largest trades unions announced that they‘d hold a 24-hour hour general strike on 7 February in a show of protest against austerity measures the Greek government is now considering. General strikes typically paralyse public transport traffic all across Greece. The government is currently in talks with the European Commission, the European Central Bank, and the International Monetary Fund to try to get a new 130 billion Euro (5.133 trillion Roubles. 170 billion USD. 108 billion UK Pounds) bailout in exchange for austerity measures.
