A “unanimous request for a resignation” is a dismissal in real terms, isn’t it?

I got an interesting comment from an MP priest:
Why are we talking about a “resignation” at all? If JP’s “resignation” was demanded by all the bishops, then, he was, in fact, fired. So, three dud Metropolitans in one tiny Metropolitan District… a homosexual, a thief, and an incompetent. This must be a record.
That’s truth; if the Holy Synod demanded his “resignation” unanimously, the Holy Synod gave JP the sack, but they don’t have the stones to come out and say so openly. I think that Lyonyo and Bobby are using this to continue their long war. As for the First Families, do remember Eric Tosi’s response when Piggy Iggy Burdikoff “lost” or “mislaid” 115,000 bucks (3.77 million Roubles. 94,000 Euros. 74,000 UK Pounds)… “The records simply don’t exist”. That doesn’t put much confidence in the putschists, does it?
