Editor’s Note:

As “citizens” of the Orthosphere resident in the West, we have a responsibility to counteract the lies and provocations of the Western governments (and their media lickspittles) concerning our “home” civilisational bloc. Don’t forget John Herbst of the US State Department and his interference (and that of his family) in the MP/ROCOR Reconciliation.

Byelorussia is vilified because President Lukashenko won’t sell his country out to the Western oligarchs. Byelorussia is vilified because it retains a socialist economy. Byelorussia is vilified because it won’t support Western adventurism throughout the world.

I say, “We must stand with Byelorussia. Their stance is just and moral… that of the West isn’t. All of the Orthosphere must stand together”. That’s what being of “one blood and culture” means, kids… and the Orthodox World (the socio-cultural reality, not the Church) is distinct from the Western World (and from the Hindustani, Muslim, and Oriental Worlds, as well). The West has NOTHING to teach us… remember that. All of the blocs can live in peace… but no one bloc has the right or mission to “preach to” and “convert” the others. The West has forgotten that. The Orthosphere is NOT the Anglosphere… and we REFUSE to adopt the misbegotten “values” and “standards” propagated by its so-called “élite elements” (virtually all of the ordinary folk in the West are guiltless subjects of these creepo supremos).

We are what we are… they are what they are. Now, that’s the only REAL basis for peace. Only when we recognise the “other” and respect it shall we have any kind of actual harmony. Frankly, that’s not in the cards for the West or for some Westerners any time soon… that’s why concord in the world at large and in Orthodoxy in the American diaspora will be elusive for some time to come.
