Lately, President Putin‘s been eatin’ his Wheaties and telling the Yanks where to go and what to do when they get there… go git ‘em, Vladimir Vladimirovich! Then, you can relax and have a beer…

Ex US Marine Patrick Downey forwarded a request seeking asylum to President Putin, claiming that he faces abuse at home after publishing materials about American support of Georgian leader Mikhail Saakashvili. When Downey worked as a teacher in Georgia, he discovered papers proving American funding of activity in Georgia in 2007, a year before Georgia’s 2008 aggression against South Ossetia. Back in the USA, he wanted to publish the information, but the media resisted him. Later, Downey became “of interest” to government security services, who nicknamed him “Trouble Man”, he claims they tried to eliminate him. Downey sought asylum in Ireland, but the government arrested him and extradited him back to the USA. At present, Russian web-users are helping to disseminate Patrick’s asylum appeal.
