Apparently, Archimandrite Z Wood of Moscow knows how to put an “emergency hospital visit” to good use! Many people over the years pooh-poohed the idea that an OCA priest’s expatriate entrepreneur lawyer son could accomplish anything substantial in the OCA, when the latter sent his email to Protopresbyter Rodion S Kondratick years ago which said, “If you touch Father Zacchaeus, I’ll destroy you”. Well: Q.E.D.! Another question… Is the Archimandrite the Metropolitan’s Father Confessor?
Good question. After all, Dickie must be holding something over Fathausen (it does lend credence to the stories that both JP and Dickie are closet faygelers)…

Very troubling is the matter of the confused response of the OCA relative to the same-sex union, rather marriage, of Bishop Mark Forsberg’s Archdeacon, long-time housemate, Archdeacon Gregory Burke, with another man. Burke ran off to California with his boyfriend and they got married publicly there. The marriage ended in a likewise public official divorce and the Archdeacon ran back to Bishop Mark. There’s no question whatsoever that that Archdeacon deposed himself by his depraved act… NO Bishop or Metropolitan was/is capable of reversing that deposition which the Deacon HIMSELF effected! This is a no-brainer of colossal proportion! Of course, he can be forgiven this and other sins through repentance and communed with the Mysteries of Christ, but he can’t be re-ordained, as some gigantic spiritual intellects seem to have imagined! Nor can it be put about that the deposition never took place.
That Gregory Burke, AKA Archdeacon Gregory Burke, is still serving at Divine Liturgy is TOTAL DEPRAVITY if not insanity. When Bishop Nikolai Soraich (in writing) correctly questioned His Beatitude and the Holy Synod of the OCA about this travesty, the response of some (Yes! Orthodox!) members of the Holy Synod was, “Oh, he repented”. Forgiveness of sins is accomplished through repentance… ordination is NOT. The Archdeacon deposed HIMSELF! The only possible choice of action by the Hierarchy can be (rather, MUST be) to confirm the FACT of self-deposition in an announcement/decree/ukaz. English isn’t adequate to characterise the perpetrators of this ongoing depravity: “das Dummkopfen!” At least one supporter of Burke’s continued service is dumber than a bucket of hammers.
Gregory Burke, AKA Archdeacon Gregory Burke, is serving at the Divine Liturgy in Miami these days. He’s NOT a Deacon at all. He deposed himself! Is there no one who gives a rat’s *** about the Faithful of Miami? By no act of his own whatsoever was Protopresbyter Rodion S Kondratick deposed from the Priesthood. He was deposed by fiat of a kangaroo court NOT of his peers, prosecuted by a lay attorney, and chaired by a hierarch who wasn’t his bishop. By no act of his own whatsoever, was Bishop Nikolai Soriach made to abandon his See. That manipulation was an act of revenge perpetrated by a gang of men, some clergy, and one woman for imagined assaults against their dignity and self-concepts.
Protopresbyter Rodion, still an Orthodox Priest by the Grace of the Divine Spirit, is forbidden to act according to the responsibility laid upon him in ordination. Bishop Nikolai, deprived of his see and NEVER charged/convicted of ANY crime, canonical or non-canonical, may not only not be permitted to resume his Cathedra… he must endure a shameful blacklisting. He was recently refused permission to concelebrate with other Bishops at a Serbian Orthodox Liturgy because the ruling Bishop was afraid that Bishop Benjamin, already invited, might refuse to concelebrate if Bishop Nikolai were allowed to serve. His “case”, like the “case” of Protopresbyter Rodion S Kondratick was totally a Potemkin Village. Oh, don’t we wish we could go back to the old palmy days?! Remember when Bishop Benjamin (then Vincent Peterson) and his friends, Mark Stokoe and Eric Wheeler, first formed their lifelong friendships? Those old Octet days! Those were the days, my friend, we thought they’d never end… and they didn’t.

Editor’s Afterword:
Rather an interesting “take” on reality, isn’t it? Let’s answer Mr Fitzgerald’s assertion with a quote that I posted yesterday, it bears repeating, in this context:
A cleric can’t/doesn’t depose himself, regardless of what he’s “done”; his bishop has to suspend him in a formal manner, try him in a proper and canonically constituted Spiritual Court, and, if the Court finds him in violation of the Sacred Canons, a Synod of Bishops can canonically depose him. Until then, he’s a cleric in good standing, even if the allegations are true. Then, it’s the sin of his bishop for not acting; the cleric isn’t sinning by serving. It’s the same for an excommunication (“anathematisation” more formally, strictly speaking) of a layman. A layman does NOT excommunicate himself as falsely taught by Westernised “scholars” at SVS.
For your information, Love BT only studied for one year at SVS when ADS was Dean… Lyonyo was his roommate that year… what d’ya expect, expertise in the Canons and Fathers (what does that tell you of the loudmouth konvertsy who don’t even have that much schooling?)? Is that why Love BT can’t stand Lyonyo? That does happen… you get to know someone TOO WELL. In short, there’s no such thing as “automatic excommunication”… that’s outright heresy, it was one of ADS’ fave hobby-horses, along with pushing the anti-Church ideas of Vvedensky, Bulgakov, and Florensky as Gospel truth… drips such as Stokoe, Peterson, Wheeler, and Matusiak ate it up uncritically and without demur (and still regurgitate it without change today).
Bobby got le sabot for destroying records… that’s a proven fact. There’s also the matter of abuse of OCA corporate credit cards (which left a “paper trail”)… Bobby’s son and wife were in on that one, too. Bobby’s admitted destroying Diocese of NY and Washington financial records to get his pal Piggy Iggy off the hook for a missing 125 Gs in diocesan funds. That’s to say, there’s sufficient evidence to depose Bobby for theft and destruction of records. Case closed. As for complaining about homosexuality, Love BT overlooks Soraich’s very public affiliation with Izzy Brittain. Bear in mind that Soraich was Love BT’s Chancellor in the OCA Diocese of the West. It’s also good to recall that Michael Reagan of the Orthodox Forum was Love BT’s Treasurer… remember that whenever you see Reagan brutalising Kristi Koumentakos (clerics get no “pass” for being clergy in Orthodoxy, as they do amongst the RCs and Proddies). There are also very open questions about Bobby’s proclivities… those of us who saw him and his “friend” at Veselka’s in the Village know the score. If this wasn’t enough, do remember James Silver’s long association with Hillary Madison. Methinks that Love BT should stop this line of questioning… its too radioactive for him! He should stay away from such large chunks of Kryptonite!
Love BT is angling for Bobby because he believes that Bobby would reinstate him as Bishop of the West. That’s not going to happen… neither is Bobby going to get back into power. If he were to do so, it’d be slicing the throat of the OCA. Bobby’s that hated and despised. He’s been that way for a long time… there are still folks around who remember Bobby and his wife “helping themselves” after the death of Vladyki Kyprian back in the early ‘80s. Remember, Love BT isn’t barmy… he’s cruel and he’s pigheaded, but that’s not insanity in anyone’s book. He also overlooks reality, but that’s true of many others who manage to get through life without harming others. Again, one wonders if he pays “rent” on the church property that he lives in… times ARE tough, y’know…
