That was a big steaming plate of shit spaghetti Trump just deposited on CNN for his supposed friend Romney.
There it is… in plain blunt English with no equivocation. Wafflin’ Willy refuses to repudiate birtherism… is that because too many of his bubba base believes in it? It won’t play outside of anti-Obama circles. Truly, it won’t. However, what’s important here is Willy’s cowardice in the face of evil falsehood and lies. It gives us a peek into his empty, vacuous, money-grubbing, power-hungry character. What’s happened to the Republican Party? Have they all taken “stupid pills?” Compare Wafflin’ Willy to Ike and TR… and Gerald Ford, too. He even makes Nixon look good… at least, Nixon refused to contest the 1960 election, and he resigned for the good of the country. All that Willy can offer is a Cayman Islands offshore account larger than the annual budget of a small African state. Even Barry Goldwater looks like a “liberal” compared to the present lot in the GOP… no lie. Remember, Barry said, “You don’t have to be straight to be in the army; you just have to shoot straight”. Compare that to the treacly and smarmy religiosity of the current Republican Party… Barry said this about that:
I’m even more angry as a legislator who must endure the threats of every religious group who thinks it has some God-granted right to control my vote on every roll call in the Senate. I’m warning them today… I’ll fight them every step of the way if they try to dictate their moral convictions to all Americans in the name of “conservatism”.
I agree with Barry wholeheartedly in that… and the present Republican Party doesn’t… that should tell you whom to vote for in November. The President is a messy compromise, to be sure, but a broken and stumbling attempt at Social Democracy is preferable to a Ayn Randish state of brute anarchy (don’t forget how Paul Ryan and Dropout Scott Walker gushed over her godless ideology… oh, yes… for Orthodox people, Chad Hatfield of SVS just spoke at a venue that slobbers over Ryan… ain’t that special).
Crazy world, ain’t it? Pass me the jug…
