On Monday, Lord Bell, Mrs Thatcher’s spokesman, announced that former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher died at the age of 87 following a stroke, saying, “It’s with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother, Baroness Thatcher, died peacefully following a stroke this morning”. British Prime Minister David Cameron called her a “great Briton”, whilst the Queen expressed her sadness. US President Barack Obama issued a statement, “The world has lost one of the great champions of freedom and liberty, and America has lost a true friend”.

Thatcher was Britain’s first female prime minister, a post she held from 1979 until 1990, when a Conservative Party coup forced her out, following rioting in Trafalgar Square over her unpopular poll tax. Perhaps the most controversial figure in modern British politics, a grocer’s daughter, Thatcher was a committed believer in the free market and an opponent of the culture of a welfare state… or the “nanny state”, as she called it. In 1987, she said, “There’s no such thing as society. There are individual men and women and there are families”.

She took Britain to war in 1982, after Argentina took back the Malvinas Islands, located just off the coast of Argentina. “Rejoice! Rejoice!” she cried after British Marines took a key island, the triumph carrying her to an easy victory in the 1983 national election. Thatcher also famously took on Britain’s once-powerful trades unions, labelling striking miners the “enemy within” during their 1984-85 walkout. Her eventual defeat of the miners’ union changed Britain’s political landscape and made her a hated figure on the left.

A firm ally of US President Ronald Reagan during the Cold War, nevertheless, Thatcher hailed future Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachyov during a 1984 meeting in Britain. Three months later, Gorbachyov became the leader of the USSR. On Monday, Gorbachyov said in a statement, “Margaret Thatcher was a great politician and a striking person”.

Thatcher was nicknamed the “Iron Lady” for her perceived toughness, a moniker that was then picked up by her supporters and critics at home. She also survived an IRA attack on the Brighton hotel she was staying at ahead of a Conservative Party conference. Thatcher’s time in power transformed Britain both politically and culturally, seeing the rise of what critics labelled the “me” culture. Former Cabinet Secretary Lord Butler of Brockwell, who served as Thatcher’s principal private secretary from 1982 to 1985, told RIA-Novosti that Margaret Thatcher was “above all a conviction politician. She had her own principles, whatever trial she faced, be it in the Falklands {i.e., the Malvinas: editor}, the miners’ strike, or the Cold War. She believed in freedom and justice under the law … these were such clear principles that she always knew what direction to take”. Her funeral, with full military honours, will be at London‘s St Paul’s Cathedral.

Margaret Thatcher, along with Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachyov were amongst the most evil people of the Twentieth Century. They enabled the massively-corrupt and greedy “New World Order” that plundered the world in the nineties and aughts. Their legacy is thousands of shattered lives… but that didn’t matter to them… they were just little people… they weren’t “productive”… they weren’t “successful”… they weren’t “focused on goals and objectives”. The Unholy Trinity brought us the Economic Meltdown of ’07 by dismantling government regulation or by destroying a non-capitalist society. Truly, there’s little to choose between Reagan, Thatcher, and Gorbachyov. All three were anti-Christian destroyers. Again, take note of Mrs Thatcher’s quote:

“There’s no such thing as society. There are individual men and women and there are families”.

That’s utterly repulsive and disgusting. It says that we needn’t take a care for our society or environment, for it isn’t our concern. We need only enrich our families, or ourselves, and to hell with the consequences to society, for “there’s no such thing as society”. That remark reveals the inner character of Mrs Thatcher. Scary, isn’t it? Remember, evil doesn’t wear red tights, carry a pitchfork, or have horns and hooves. It doesn’t raise its voice, it dresses neatly, it’s polite, it “goes along to get along”, and, above all, “Greed is GOOD”.

I hope that Maggie repented of her godless actions, but I fear that she didn’t. Crank world, isn’t it?

Members of the Towson White Student Union were pleased to find this morning that the left wing Southern Poverty Law Center has decided that our stand against the genocide of the European people from the face of the earth, demographic displacement of Europeans from our homelands, discrimination in the workplace, and a call to end foreign influence over our domestic affairs has made us such a threat to the Left that they put us on the Hate Map. We join fellow comrades such as the Family Research Council, Society of Saint Pius X Catholic Churches, and patriotic groups like the Oath Keepers. Well, SPLC, we will toast a round to you tonight and thank you for recognizing the hard work of the WSU to fight against everything you stand for. As the blessed beginning of Good Friday approaches, the Towson White Student Union would just like to inform all supporters, detractors, and reporters that we will not be responding to e-mail or phone messages until the end of Holy Week. To our Orthodox brothers and sisters enjoy Holy Lent (only a few weeks to go!). Our dedication to our Cause and the folk is secondary only to our faith. Trust me, Orthodoxy doesn’t have anything to do with haters such as this. HH is against racism of any form. Indeed, he blesses Free Cuba, he blessed President Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, he stands by the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom, and he called President Obama “an unusually sincere man and a blessing for the American people”. HH calls for universal state-funded healthcare and a full palette of social services, along with a wholehearted rejection of all ethnic hatred. On the other hand, the White Student Union backs the Republican Party and its voracious and vicious Anti-Life Programme.

You can stand with the White Student Union or you can stand with HH. That’s your real-world choice. I’m raising my voice because it’s come to my attention that Orthodox people (mainly konvertsy) are dallying with such shit-for-brains. It’s another reason why the konvertsy aren’t Orthodox in their heart-of-hearts… their right-wing notions are NOT in sync with what the Church really teaches. It’s time to clean house…

Mitt Romney‘s palpable discomfort during the 2012 election season has mostly been attributed to the fact that he’s (very likely) a robot. However, in a lengthy Boston Globe piece about what went wrong with the campaign, Romney’s eldest son Tagg offers a different explanation for his father’s poor performance… “He wanted to be president less than anyone I’ve met in my life. He had no desire to … run. If he could’ve found someone else to take his place… he would’ve been ecstatic to step aside”. The statement certainly seems to serve as a great “I told you so” moment for all those Republicans who endorsed genuinely fired-up people like Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum during the primaries, though the story also suggests the Romney campaign‘s issues extended well beyond his supposed lack of enthusiasm for the task.

The Globe‘s Michael Kranish (co-author of The Real Romney) confirms that those closest to Romney, such as Tagg and wife Ann, clashed with his staff over strategy, especially when it came to humanising the candidate. The story blames campaign manager Stuart Stevens for the unremitting focus on the dreary economy and the reluctance to share some of the more appealing elements of Romney’s biography with the public. When Tagg finally convinced RNC organisers to feature the grateful parents of a terminally-ill 14-year-old Mormon boy Romney once comforted, they were put onstage before any of the big networks even tuned in {Big deal. If the kid wasn’t a Mormon, that’d be news. It just proves that many Mormons are good to their own, but view us “Gentiles” as two-legged cockroaches: editor}.

There are also criticisms of the campaign’s infrastructure… the organisation employed a mere 500 paid workers nationwide (less than the Obama team dedicated to Florida alone) and failed to make good use of social media and other technology. As Romney’s digital director Zac Moffatt explained, they simply didn’t have as much time as Obama did to prepare. Moffatt recalled worrying about early on, “Can we do 80 percent of what the Obama campaign is doing, in 20 percent of the time, at 10 percent of the cost?” Tagg also told the Globe that his father hopes to use what he learned during the campaign to help Republican leaders make changes to the way the party is run, saying, “Having been through it, you know so much more than when you haven’t”. Perhaps, the first thing Romney should suggest for the next go-around is picking a nominee who actually wants to be there.

Click here and here for evidence of the Blunder’s trip to the USA. This is much ado about nothing. This trip wasn’t about the storm or about a meeting with Fathausen and Tikhon. It was a long-planned junket by the Blunder, where he planned to kiss the naked bums of the papists, yet again (and predictably). The Blunder is part of a small pro-Western party at the Centre, which also includes Tikhon Shevkunov. HH is always taking him to the woodshed for his crackbrained pro-papist attitudes and remarks. This is the usual BS and garbage released by his greasy eunuchs at Bolshaya Ordynka. Do note the “Служба коммуникации ОВЦС” at the foot of the article… that means that the piece didn’t come from the official central media apparat; it indicates that it came from the Blunder’s fawning staff.

The Blunder’s smarting after the London Conference, which was dominated behind-the-scenes by Mark Golovkov (don’t forget, he’s a kinsman of HH). He was given a public role, but little else. Mark, Lebedeff, Gan, Balashov, and Dudko will forge the shape of the New ROCOR. The Blunder will have no real role in that process, as his participation in such fluff as the Villanova visit indicates. His meeting with Tikhon and Fathausen means absolutely nothing. If it were an imprimatur from HH, it’d have a “photo album”, and it didn’t. I think that the Blunder’s trying to give the impression that the Centre supports Tikhon. It doesn’t… Mel Pleska still has the nod from the Mother Church. After all, they chose to concelebrate with him, not Tikhon.

It’s the usual smoke n’ mirrors from the Blunder. His visit to the Templeton Foundation means less than nothing. That’s a Far Right think-tank; it employs Rod Dreher, for instance (the fact that it has Dreher on staff shows its lack of standards). It’s not serious, it’s a Free Market lickspittle. That is, since the Blunder kisses the bums of the oligarchs at the Centre, why should it surprise you that he does the same to their analogues in the USA?

Caveat lector, yet again. Drizzle-drazzle-druzzle drone, time for this one to go home…
