One of my sources said:

There’s a big fight between Atty and Boyer. The Pavilion’s on seminary property, which means that they’ll have to serve Liturgy at the bell tower, which is on the monastery grounds. There’s no word yet on the choir.

My first thought was, “Fr John from Mayfield should go down there and talk some sense into these jabronies”. Then, it struck me… neither Atty or Boyer is “po-nashemu”, in the NE PA (the original Hunkie Heartland) sense of the term. The old-time Hunkies would NEVER have had such a dispute, and, certainly, they wouldn’t let it affect the Memorial Day Pilgrimage. The konvertsy are gaga over Boyer and Atty… well, I say, “Good trees don’t bear bad fruit”… and if it tastes like shit, it probably IS shit. Don’t forget Atty shitcanned a Matushka at STS, so that his wife and daughter could take her place. Great guy, huh? This wouldn’t have happened under Vladyki Leonty Turkevich… it wouldn’t have happened under Vladyki Kyprian Borisevich. Could you imagine the shitstorm that would occur when Vladyki Kyprian heard of such a stunt? You’d see the lightnin’ flashes all the way clear to Binghamton. Trust me, such a faux pas would NEVER happen again…

If you needed proof that the OCA’s terminal and beyond help… this is it. Cross yourself and pass the jug… what else can be done at this late hour?

BUSTED! The court turned down Pasonick’s appeal to delay his reporting to prison or to change his place of imprisonment. US District Judge Richard Conaboy ordered Pasonick to report to his place of imprisonment by 14.00 Monday 30 April 2012. One wonders if JP will accompany his pal. After all, Fathausen made this convicted felon part of his official entourage at the 2012 March for Life, which made everyone present unwilling collaborators with JP’s rather odd beliefs on “forgiveness”. I’ll be blunt… Metropolitan Leonty Turkevich wouldn’t have allowed a convicted felon to do such, not in a million years. We seem to have regressed…

13 March 2012. Latest Wrinkle in Pasonick Affair… He Wants to Have Sentence Postponed to Receive STS Degree in May!

Sources tell me that Pasonick’s getting an MDiv from STS in May! The scuttlebutt out there is that Fr John Kowalcyk does all of his work for him. Some are wondering if they’re going to award him his degree at the Memorial Day pilgrimage. If so, the OCA would run “true to form”. Honouring a jailbird… well, they haven’t muzzled Ray Velencia, have they? Let’s see… Pasonick just got a year in the Federal slam and a 250 G fine (shall he serve his sentence at the Fed minimum security slammer in South Canaan… it’s right nearby… perspirin’ minds wanna know!), and the OCA might honour him at the St Tikhon’s Memorial Day Pilgrimage. What’s wrong with that picture? If you ask me, it’s a prime illustration of “money talks and bullshit walks”. This would never have happened in Metropolitan Leonty’s day…

At present, the church that grandiloquently calls itself THE “Orthodox Church in America“, and boastfully calls its leader the “Metropolitan of all America and Canada” lies in shambles. Today, there was supposedly a Spiritual Court convened to try the case of Dickie Wood. We don’t know whether Mr Wood was present or not (the last info I had was that Dickie was holed up in  a Moscow apartment and he was avoiding all Church situations). There’s no word from the Lesser Synod on their decision. Compare this to the latest meeting of the UOC/MP Synod. They disciplined a cleric, and they publicised the news THE VERY SAME DAY, even though it was released at 23.14 MSK… that’s nearly midnight in the Centre, 21.14 in Kiev (that’s still late).

Were things always like this? NO! The Metropolia was a much more modest, unassuming, and pragmatic bunch, as befitted the fact that most of its members were po-nashemu Carpatho-Russians. These people knew the value of a dollar and worked hard for everything that they had. I recently wrote a friend:

Remember how people bitched and moaned about Fr Joe Pishtey? Betcha they want those days back, now, don’t they? People not only need to hear the ”straight shit”, they also need to know that we once knew how to “walk the walk”. Here’s to the modest and grounded Metroprolia… we NEED to see that we “walked the walk”. People need to see that we knew what was what and who was who. I weep for those who want the old Metropolia back as it was… “you can’t go home again”. However, we can return to the sane, modest, and pragmatic ways of the Metropolia. You can’t “unlive” the past… and you shouldn’t want to. The last forty years taught us a bitter lesson… “There’s no place like home”.

You can say what you will, but the Metropolia knew how to “walk the walk”. All the OCA can do is “talk the talk”. Which do you prefer?

On the one hand, you have poseurs like Paffhausen, Oliver Herbel, the SVS crowd, the jabronies at “OCA Truth” and “Monomakhos”, and the HOOMies; on the other, you have people who want to emulate their fathers and mothers and have a REAL Orthodox Church. I’m for the latter group… “Honour your father and your mother so that your days will be long on the earth”. Whom do YOU want to follow? A bunch of nappy-wearing smarkachy (drippy-nosed kids), or do you want to hang out with REAL Orthodox Christians? It’s your choice…
