Plummeting dollar is the main reason of the rise in oil prices… a Russian view

Most analysts see the plummeting dollar as the main reason behind a new rise in oil prices. On Tuesday, the price of one barrel in New York traded at more than 109 US dollars. The dollar has fallen to its lowest point against the euro.

Editor’s note:

Here is the real cost of George W Bush’s neo-Cold War policies. The US dollar has fallen 20 percent against the rouble since he took office, and it has suffered as badly (or worse, as in the case of the Canadian dollar) against other currencies. This does put US propaganda about Russia being a Third World economy in a new light, doesn’t it?

Please, forgive me, as I heal…

With Her Sick Teacher (Nikolai Bogdanov-Belsky, no date (1920s?))

I took a nasty tumble at work today, and I injured my left shoulder. It’s not advisable for me to spend any length of time of at the computer for the next few days. So, I may put up a short thing or two, but, that’s all. I can’t complain, but I’m off work for the next few days, and I ask your prayers for my recovery.

Thank you kindly,
