Igumen Filipp Ryabykh Calls for Cooperation with Jesuits

Here is Bob Taft and his ilk… trust them at your own peril…

Editor’s Foreword:

The following is utter BS… but, as a translator, I’ll give you the text as given. Do keep your lunch down…

Igumen Filipp Ryabykh, the Deputy Chairman of the MP Department for External Church Relations, met with Fr Adolfo Nicolás Pachón, the Secretary General of the Society of Jesus (more commonly known as “Jesuits”), one of the largest Roman Catholic religious orders, and spoke in favour of cooperation between the Jesuits and the Orthodox Church. Igumen Filipp acknowledged that Orthodox believers in Russia have negative images of the Jesuits, and emphasised the need for closer coordination between the Jesuits and the MP, according to the official website of the MP DECR. However, in Fr Filipp’s opinion, it will take a long time and much effort to persuade Orthodox not to link the Jesuits with proselytism. As a possible area of cooperation, he mentioned religious education, in which the Jesuits have accumulated rich experience over their more than 400 years of existence. Furthermore, Fr Filipp reiterated that Orthodox and Catholics could uphold Christian values in the secularised societies of Europe together.

Currently, the Jesuits, the colloquial name of The Society of Jesus, have about 18,500 members serving in 112 countries on six continents. The Jesuits were founded in Paris in 1534. Strict discipline and unquestioning obedience to superiors and to the Pope of Rome has always been a distinguishing feature of the Jesuits. Amongst the duties of the Order is the protection and dissemination of the faith, according to Catholic teachings. In 1820, all Jesuits were expelled from Russia, their activities were proscribed, and the word “Jesuit” acquired a second meaning in the dictionaries of most languages… a man who was two-faced and deceitful. In the Russian Federation, the Jesuits obtained official registration in 1992. A tragedy overshadowed the recent activities of the Jesuits in contemporary Russia, the head of their Russian branch, Fr Otto Messmer, was brutally murdered in an apartment in downtown Moscow in 2008.

Editor’s Note:

The literal translaton of the title of this article is “Russian Church calls for cooperation with Jesuits”… nothing could be further from the truth. Filipp Ryabykh is a flunky and fellow traveller of Hilarion Alfeyev… nothing more need be said (another one with similar views is Fr Georgi Mitrofanov). The konvertsy are all gaga over the Boy Wonder because of his impeccable English. However, what else can you expect from suburban Americans of a Proddie background? They’re not known for their insight, but they ARE known for their superficiality. They’re the kind of people who believe that Barack Obama was born in Kenya and that he’s a communist! I’ve serious reservations concerning BO… but that’s ludicrous.

Let’s say this loudly and slowly so that even the slow learners notice it. THIS… IS… AN… UTTER… CROCK… OF… SHIT… AND… THE… CHURCH… DOES… NOT… ENDORSE… IT. This is nothing but the Boy Blunder’s personal opinion, delivered by one of his running-dog-lackeys. Did you notice that Interfax did not translate this into English? That should give you a hint. Again, this is NOT the Church’s opinion… it is only the opinion of a self-centred and hubristical vicar to the patriarch who is NOT a ruling bishop (the one parish in the Ordynka district where Alfeyev serves is under the actual authority of Metropolitan Yuvenaly Poyarkov, the patriarch’s loyal and unshakable retainer). Don’t you feel sorry for people such as Vassa Larina and Andrei Psaryov who’ve been taken in by Jesuit propaganda? God willing… they’ll turn from that path before it’s too late (one of my friends, a ROCOR priest, said that they shall… after they’re admonished by those in authority). Anyone who trusts a Jesuit is a candidate for a brain transplant… they are known for their slipperiness and conniving. After all, the word “Jesuitical” is NOT complimentary. They are fanatical papists of the worst sort, and the lowest of the lot are the so-called “Uniate Jesuits”… does the name “Bob Taft” ring a bell for some? Anyone who believes Ryabykh’s screed is in need of a long rest… after a trip to the woodshed.

Let’s not forget what the Bible said in St Matthew:

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but, inwardly, they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit; neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore, by their fruits, ye shall know them.

The Jesuits have borne nothing but evil fruit… why should we even give them a hearing? Don’t forget their nastiness at the time of the Unia… that alone qualifies them to be “hewn down, and cast into the fire”. How any Orthodox can trust such double-dealers is beyond me. Do notice who amongst us consorts with such slime… and act accordingly. In short, Ryabykh is chock fulla beans and his statement is sheer GIGO. Caveat lector
