Do note the fundamental difference in how Orthodox Christians honour their dead with dignity as compared to the Tea Party’s juvenile waving of placards and shouting of incoherent racist slogans. One of these things is not like the other…

They all had faces… they all had names. No one is forgotten… nothing is forgotten. Above all, NEVER wave placards and shout… that’s dishonouring the dead… THAT tells you something about the Tea Party, no?

This is the message we have to send to the haters of the Tea Party… they don’t understand civil discourse… don’t waste your breath. It’s time to get out the brass knucks and coshes, and the whips and chains. Let’s get ready to rumble!
I’m NOT going to dwell on this one. Reflect on the quotation in the title of this post:

The GOP hasn’t condemned Mark Williams, as he’s the chairman of the Tea Party Express… nor has Beck, Palin, Limbaugh, Miller, Robertson, or any of the other scummers and slimers associated with this movement. THAT tells you volumes. It’s why I’ve distanced myself from the Republican Party, because of the very obvious nasty racist and nativist (mostly from Sectarians, but some Catholics, too) subtext in its message and platform. They’re telling all the rest of us, “If you’re not a white affluent suburbanite with the proper zip code, go to hell, go directly to hell, don’t pass ‘Go’, you won’t collect any public assistance, ‘cause we’re gonna abolish it to line our pockets further”.
Mr Williams is outside the bounds of civil society, and we shouldn’t cut him any slack. You know what to do… don’t vote for ANY Tea Party endorsed candidates in November. Remember, if the Tea Party succeeds in this, WE’RE next. After all, we Orthodox don’t have JAYZUSS as our PERSONAL SAVIOUR (whatever that incoherent gobbledygook means).
