Russia Angered by the USA Giving a Forum to Terrorists

THIS is the end result of American “aid and comfort” to Islamocist terrorists in the Northern Caucasus… Beslan. Ponder well the fact that the Republican Party favours such violence to “weaken” Russia. Nasty pieces of work, aren’t they?

______________________________

Russia expressed outrage and bewilderment over the fact that the Johns Hopkins University in the USA provided a forum for speeches by Ilyas Akhmadov, a former aide to Shamil Basayev…

Aleksandr Lukashevich, an official Foreign Ministry spokesman, registered a protest on Thursday. It was obvious why the affair outraged Russia. After all, a famous American university provided a forum for a militant, who served as an aide to the most wanted terrorist in Russia, Shamil Basayev. It was all the more egregious because the man involved is a criminal, on an international wanted list. Unfortunately, we must note that the USA still lists Ilyas Akhmadov as a “refugee”, and the recent presentation of his book in Washington somehow involved the so-called “National Endowment for Democracy”, financed by the US federal budget. This turn of events can only cause surprise and disappointment. Such public events involving infamous terrorists give strength to their confrères in Russia and around the world. It inspires them to conduct new bloody actions against civilians, such as the one as the recent bombing at Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport. One should bear in mind that 36 people died in the blast, it injured more than 100, of whom many are still in hospital.

In this regard, we must mention another terrorist who has support from the USA, albeit indirectly. That is, Doku Umarov, who, incidentally, claimed responsibility for the January explosion at Domodedovo. Back in November 2010, Russia introduced sanctions against Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, as well as individuals and organisations involved in their activities at the UN Security Council Committee, the application for which included Umarov, as leader of the Caucasian Emirate terrorist organisation operating in the North Caucasus. However, the USA opposed the inclusion of Umarov as a dangerous terrorist on the UN list. They justified their position by claiming that Russia’s request for “listing” Umarov allegedly didn’t clearly show that he had, in fact, “stable contacts” with Al Qaeda and the Taliban. This explanation seems very strange and unconvincing, because, last year, the US State Department included Doku Umarov on a national list of the most dangerous international terrorists.

The position of the American authorities is especially odd in the light of recent statements by Barack Obama that the USA is ready to “stand shoulder to shoulder with the Russians in a joint struggle against those who use terrorism to achieve their political goals”. Yet, Doku Umarov and Ilyas Akhmadov are precisely this kind of person. The support for them does not tally with the official White House statement. Involuntarily, a question arises… maybe, are all the statements in Washington on combating international terrorism more related to internal American politics than international events? For, when it comes to citizens of other countries, the USA continues to adhere to “double standards” in their approach to fighting terrorism, in particular when it comes to the Northern Caucasus.

Editor’s Note:

There are two evil streams in American political life… Wilsonian Interventionist Democrats and Republicans (in general, they’re all infected). The first careers around the world like a peripatetic insurance salesman, invading countries for the sake of “human rights” and “democracy”, usually degrading what store of same a particular country has… do ask the Afghanis and Iraqi Christians. The second is a mindless and insatiable brute, clubbing down all who won’t fill its boodle bag, and full of nasty verbal attacks on those who are too strong for it to bully… do ask the Russians, Chinese, and Iranians.

They support the North Caucasus terrorists as “freedom fighters”. In the case of the Republicans, you have a schizophrenic faction that fans hatred over a non-existent mosque at Ground Zero in Lower Manhattan, whilst, at the same time, it supports and funds Islamocist terrorists in Russia and China. Don’t forget, the Republican government of George W Bush established secret torture facilities in the Ukraine, Lithuania, Romania, and Bulgaria. THAT is what the Republican Party stands for. NEVER forget it. On the other hand, mistrust the Wilsonian Democrats too… they’re airy-fairy eggheads with no grounding in reality. As Le Tigre Clemanceau (the French don’t call him Père-la-Victoire for nothing) said of Wilson’s Fourteen Points (in profound and utter disgust and contempt), “Mr Wilson bores me with his Fourteen Points; why, God Almighty has only Ten!”

However, the USA STILL supports Islamocist terrorists, just as it did in Afghanistan, Federal Yugoslavia, and Iraq… not a pretty picture, no? It DOES show the incoherency of present-day America… any society that rewards Rush Limboob, Lil’ Miz Sarah, and Glenn Beck with millions of dollars is degenerate. At the same time, millions of real people are in penury… none dare call it scandalous. It DOES take all kinds, doesn’t it?

Walker Shows His Incompetence and Inability by Refusing to Defuse the Present Situation in Wisconsin

Always ask yourself the question, “Cui Bono?” Then, follow it through to its logical conclusion. After all, wasn’t there a SURPLUS in Wisconsin when Walker took over? WHO SPENT IT ALL? HUH?

This is utter insanity. The best route for Scott Walker to follow is to step back, furlough the legislature formally for three months, regroup, and let the media situation cool down. Instead, the ignoramus is courting the press and showboating. He doesn’t mention that, like a thoughtless wastrel, he spent through Wisconsin’s entire accumulated surplus in short order when he entered office through ill-advised giveaways to the rich. Let’s not forget, the man is a college dropout, a proponent of GOP Permanent Warfare who refused to serve in the forces, and a former high-pressure salesman, who only won election because of abnormally low voter turnout in the last election. His sidekick Fitzgerald is a former “weekend warrior” who likes shooting off his mouth, too. Trust me, I know many officers, both active and retired… few are as loudmouthed and crude as Fitzgerald is, and of those who are, none of ‘em are the best examples of the officer corps.

Walker’s goal is clear… he wants to eliminate trades unionism to fatten the already bloated bank accounts of his rich out-of-state backers. If there’s a budget shortfall, tax the rich. They’ve received a tax break from the feds… they have the extra money. In any case, Wisconsin is a Social Democratic state. Walker is looking for a fight. The child doesn’t realise that if a fight begins, all bets are off, and the consequences could be dire for all concerned. This is what happens when children who still crap in their nappies get access to the levers of power. Furthermore, this is what happens when self-centred salesman sorts get power… it goes to their heads, and they go off their nuts. If Walker calls out the National Guard, he’s playing with fire. What’s worse, this demented juvenile delinquent is giggling with glee at the prospect of social unrest. God do help us.

Yet, I’ll say that this… Scott Walker, Scott Fitzgerald, and Reinhard Priebus have done me a favour. They proved, without any doubt, the objective wickedness of the Republican Party programme. No decent Christian can support such a nihilistic, moneygrubbing, and violent creed. We must stand with Patriarch Kirill… we must stand with Patriarch Bartholomew… the Church denounces the Free Market, Neoliberalism (so-called “conservatism”), and Globalisation as massive frauds. We have to silence Fathausen, Whiteford, and all the squalling konvertsy who shill for this evil enterprise.

Let’s not forget… Archbishop Iakovos Koukouzis marched with Martin Luther King, he didn’t bless the Bull Connors of this world… that’s what Fathausen and Whiteford are doing… blessing the repressors. Sergei Stragorodsky never did THAT. All Orthodox should think deeply on what that means. It’s ugly, isn’t it? They bless those whose stated aim is to smash their boot full force into the faces of the most helpless amongst us. Look at Scott Walker… see his vacuity… see his ignorance… see his sinful and all-consuming GREED. He doesn’t care if people are hurt, so long as his pocket is full.

I’m walking away from this situation for a bit… it’s why I’ve been busying myself collecting art images today (and they’re good ones, too). Scott Walker is driving towards the cliff with his foot firmly on the accelerator. Again, God do help us… evil is walking naked and unashamed in the land. Either we stand, or the monster shall consume us.

Shall you swallow a kopeck’s worth?

Editor’s Note:

There’s much noise made by Galician Uniate nationalists (and their schismatic scummer allies) that “starring” is a particular “Ukrainian” custom. It’s not… the custom is found all over Eastern Europe, all the way to and including Germany. It’s the one thing that EVERYBODY agrees upon, EVEN THE HUNKIES! Who woulda thunk it? Russians, Magyars, Balts, Germans, and Romanians agreeing? Yes, sir… just like everybody makes “Ukrainian” Easter eggs, everybody does “Ukrainian” embroidery”, and everybody eats “Ukrainian” food (go to Brandenburg and scarf down some kohlrouladen, pierogen, and beetenbarsch). Hell, look at the national costumes of the Sorbs (the most westernmost Slavic people, they live in eastern Germany)… they use most of those “particularly Ukrainian” motifs too.

I wish that someone would “put a sock” in the mouths of the loud Galician Uniate nationalists (a minority of that group, but they’re the only ones heard, as they’re the ones getting Vatican and CIA funding). Then, we could all be good neighbours and get on in peace. I truly wish for that, and I hope that Viktor Yanukovich will do precisely that. It’s the best hope for peace amongst us.

Wisconsin on Verge of Blowup Due to Tea Party Ignorance

A cartoon of US Senator Robert M “Fightin’ Bob” La Follette (1855-1924), Wisconsin’s true voice and legacy. Scott Walker wants to undo Fightin’ Bob’s entire legacy, hand Wisconsin over to the oligarchs so that they can rape it and pick it clean, and piss on the taxpayers for the fatcats’ profit (have you forgotten how he and the GOP frittered away the state surplus, as soon as they entered office?). Any questions?

  • Every nation has its war party… It is commercial, imperialistic, ruthless. It tolerates no opposition.
  • Let no man think we can deny civil liberty to others and retain it for ourselves. When zealous agents of the Government arrest suspected “radicals” without warrant, hold them without prompt trial, deny them access to counsel, and admission of bail… we have shorn the Bill of Rights of its sanctity.
  • Until economic freedom is attained for everybody, there can be no real freedom for anybody.
  • Mere passive citizenship is not enough. Men must be aggressive for what is right if government is to be saved from men who are aggressive for what is wrong.
  • Every man and woman under the American flag who lives by useful and creative work of hand or brain, is entitled to an equal chance in life, to equal protection of the laws, and equal participation in the control of government with every other citizen. We believe our government, ruled by Republican and Democratic parties, has fallen under the domination and control of men and interests hostile to that principle, who subvert the great powers of the government, and secure to themselves the fruits of the labour of the mass of the American people.

Note this:

The people who are not around the Capitol square are with us.

Anyone who believes that is lacking in brainpower. Scott Walker won 52 percent of the vote in an election where only 50 percent (2,133,244) of the eligible voters actually voted, therefore, the baggers have support from only 26 percent of the population of Wisconsin over 18. Furthermore, there was a higher-than-average turnout of seniors and rural voters, and a lower-than average turnout of under-30s and minorities, which skewed the vote in the GOP’s favour. What is more, the votes cast for the major party candidates were down compared to 2008, when 2,939,604 votes were cast for the two frontrunners. In that election, Barack Obama won 57 percent of the vote, a larger proportion than Mr Walker, in an election where voter turnout was 38 percent higher than in 2008.

I don’t know much about Wisconsin, but I DO know my maths. In both 2000 and 2004, Wisconsin narrowly went for the Democratic candidate, with a vote turnout similar to 2008. Incidentally, the 2004 election proves why the GOP wants to punish trades unionists… they went 62 percent for the Democrats, giving them their margin of victory. Apparently, not only are the Wisconsin Republicans deficient in intelligence (after all, they nominated a dropout, “chicken hawk”, and former salesman, Walker, for governor), they have long memories for slights. This proves, even for the slow learners, that childish boobs run the Wisconsin Republican Party. They won election because of low voter turnouts in historically Democratic constituencies in 2010. It’s clear that the GOP KNOWS that it’s not going to win re-election, so, they’re going to attempt to make hay whilst the sun is out. Unfortunately, for them, Scott Walker and Scott Fitzgerald are walking advertisements for prefrontal lobotomy. Note what Fitzgerald said:

What they’re getting from individuals back home is stick to your guns, don’t let them get to you. Every senator I’ve spoken to today is getting that back home, which is awesome. It’s great to hear from people who are part of a rally … (but) two people you meet at a fish fry or a person who comes up to you at a basketball game, those comments sink in.

******

Fightin’ Bob HATED those who made excuses for the oligarchs… THIS is what he’d give Fitzgerald, Walker, and all their scummer cronies if he were around today…

______________________________

Fitzgerald’s juvenile bloviating has as much relation to reality as the Totaler Krieg speech by Göbbels in the Berlin Sportpalast in February 1943 had. What Fitzgerald is saying is that the oligarch paymasters of the GOP are demanding that they continue this mad flight into insanity. Fitzgerald is supposedly a former officer in the forces (albeit, a reserve officer), but he doesn’t talk like any active officer in the forces that I’ve ever known. They’re usually not so impulsive or recalcitrant. This proves that his rich sugar daddy backers are demanding action, and he’s all too willing to give it. This is a recipe for an armed forces shutdown like Moscow or Cairo. That is, Walker CAN call out the National Guard, but they can refuse to do his bidding. They shan’t mutiny, to be sure… but they’ll carry out orders reluctantly… or, NOT AT ALL. If the Wisconsin National Guard balks… President Obama will step in, guaranteed, “to preserve civil order in the state of Wisconsin”… very statesmanlike, very presidential. There’s a reason for the extreme GOP rhetoric… they’re attempting to scare the people of Wisconsin, as they lack the physical power to do so.

The Democratic Party in Wisconsin should erect a statue of Scott Walker and Scott Fitzgerald when all this is over. They managed to do something that few politicians have ever done. They managed to unite people in opposition to them, and the GOP forgets that Wisconsin was the home of Fightin’ Bob La Follette… and that Wisconsin gave their electoral votes to his Progressive Party in the 1924 US Presidential Election (he won 17 percent of the popular vote in the national polling). Attend to HIS words, not the words of Walker and Fitzgerald:

There is no doubt that the people have come to understand that private monopoly controls the official machinery of both the Democratic and Republican Parties. Recent public scandals, such as the War Frauds, the Shipping Board, Teapot Dome and other oil leases, the Veterans’ Bureau, the Alien Property Custodian, the degradation of the Department of Justice under both Democratic and Republican Administrations, and the endless fraud and corruption in connection with taxation and prohibition enforcement, are but evidences of such control of party machinery by lawless and predatory interests.

The approaching Democratic and Republican conventions will demonstrate to the people whether either of those parties can and will purge itself of the evil influences which have long dominated them. This cannot be accomplished by merely nominating some alleged Progressive and filling the platform with misleading promises. It demands the elimination of monopoly control, the downfall of the corrupt political bosses, the adoption of truly Progressive principles, and the repudiation of those great campaign contributors who have in the past bought up both parties. If this is not done, a long suffering and righteously indignant people will find in the coming campaign effective means, independent both these old parties, to take back control of their government and make it truly representative.

THIS is the TRUE legacy of Wisconsin. Attend to the quotes at the head of the post… they tell it all. In 1982, a survey of historians asked, “Who were the ten greatest Senators in the nation’s history based on their accomplishments in office, and their long-range impact on American history”. Fightin’ Bob tied for first place with Henry Clay of Kentucky, “The Great Compromiser”. Wisconsin is traditionally a Social Democratic state… Scott Walker’s aberrational victory notwithstanding. Don’t forget, Fightin’ Bob was the recognised leader of the forces that opposed the domination of the oligarchs in American society and government. Eugene Debs said of Fightin’ Bob, “Let the Wall Street wolves and their prostitute press howl, the people will sustain you, and history will vindicate you”. That could have been written today…

Somehow, I believe that Wisconsin shall stay true to its roots. Do you want to emulate Fightin’ Bob, or, are you going to suck up to Little Miz Sarah, Rush Limboob, and Beck the Apostate (and their corporate paymasters)? It’s NO contest… Fightin’ Bob, by a KNOCKOUT (in the first round, in the first minute).
