More Detail on the Booklet I Quoted Last Night

Here’s a little more detail on the little booklet I quoted last night. Firstly, here’s an image of the cover, and an image of the title page:

The booklet has 10 pages and 4 pages of so-called “Documents”, 14 pages in all. The booklet measures 8.5 inches by 11 inches; it’s roughly the size of a typical magazine such as Time or Newsweek. There is no publication date noted on the title page (or anywhere else). There are Syosset/SVS commandoes who’ll tell you that I made it all up… trust me, that’s their MO.

The Renovationists, in general, and Syosset/SVS, in particular, LOVE converts hugely. It makes it so much easier for them to change or alter the narrative every fifteen or twenty years, doesn’t it? As an aside, the apparatchiki are bothering everybody who’s been around for a bit… they’re desperately looking for leaks. They’re looking in the all the WRONG places. 😀 In my experience, betrayal always comes from someone you trusted… not from someone you had doubts about. Ergo, the First Families had best look MUCH closer to home… some of the rats are jumping off the sinking ship, and some of them are chirping away… and people listen to them (and I get the low-down on the real deal).

Bear in mind that most of the konvertsy brats slobbering away on the internet didn’t come amongst us until after 2000… it’s like giving a toddler in the nursery access to live hand grenades. The result’s predictable, and it’s the same in both instances… a lot of people are going to get hurt, with unforeseeable consequence for all of us. It’s too late to do anything about it… the players are on the stage… the orchestra is warming up for the overture… God do help us all.

OCA Diocese of the West Issues Bootless “Resolution”… Only the Holy Synod can Act… Not a Bunch of Jumped-Up Convert Priests and Arrogant Laity

Read this (in its entirety… you can do it):

http://www.ocanews.org/news/DOWResolution3.29.11.html

Most of this is a lie, especially the whoppers told by David Lowell. Those who’re close to participants told me that the Blunder made it clear that the Centre was VERY displeased with Fathausen. Lowell is a jumped-up konvertsy fraud, he’s a former HOOMie cultist ordained by Love BT in 2000… if he had facility in Russian, he wouldn’t be so starry-eyed, nor would he be so ga-ga over the Blunder. The Blunder is VERY unpopular in Moscow… he hangs on to his position because of his ties in the West, nothing more (do remember that KMG refuses to make him a ruling bishop and that he took most of the DECR away from him and gave it to Charlie and Mark Golovkov). Above all, the Blunder is a calculating liar who tells his audiences what they wish to hear (much as JP does)… he’s predicted an imminent meeting between the Pope of Rome and the Patriarch so many times that no one pays attention to him anymore when he says such.

If you look at Report 25 from the last MP Holy Synod meeting on 22 March, it’s clear that the MP is goading the OCA Holy Synod to action, thusly, and through the Blunder’s surprise visit, intervening directly in the internal affairs of the OCA. The OCA’s autocephaly is a sham… the Blunder’s summoning of the OCA bishops, and his forcing them to post his version of events only reiterated that. This “resolution” is utter twaddle… the only group with canonical authority is the OCA Holy Synod, and, God willing, it’ll convene before Easter to defrock JP, Brum, and Eliel (and Matthew Tate, too, if they’ve got any sense at all).

Nevertheless, it’s not mere hot air… it tells us that BP is desperate. He’s trying to prevent the OCA from going down. Don’t forget… BP shelters Love BT (he was BT’s protégé, after all), Nikolai Soraich, Isidore Brittain, David Brum, and John Dresko (one of the nastiest of the ex-apparatchiki from Syosset… he held a sinecure devoted to “strategic planning”). BT and BP are close, yet they fight openly and viciously… it’s almost a “queens’ bitch fight”… connect the dots. I know what I believe privately… but I can’t say it openly… however, BT was VERY close to many reputed homosexuals in higher Church circles. BP is protecting him and allowing him to live in Church property… what I’ve heard is that it’s rent-free. Who has the dirt on whom? In this case, I think that it’s a little bit of both!

I think that it’s too late to save the OCA… there are too many factions with too many agendas. There’s JP and the konvertsy frauds (including the HOOMie cultists)… there’s Bobby and the First Family apparatchiki like Karlgut and Iggy… there’s Lyonyo (he thinks he’s hot shit because he’s a member of the Council on Foreign Relations) and his mob, which is where Stokoe hangs his hat… there’s SVS and its puffed-up professoriate… there’s the old-line po-nashemu faithful. Whew! To say that the OCA lacks any sort of inner unity and coherency is an understatement. It’s never been a viable construct… it lived on the accumulated (moral and physical) capital of the Metropolia.

Don’t expect any action from the so-called “Metropolitan Council”… they authorised 250 Gs of payoff to Bobby without a demur and none of them raised a peep of protest when Ray Velencia trashed Kristi Koumentakos in e-mails to the Council. In any case, they’re an American equivalent of the Holy Governing Synod, so, they, like that Petrine abomination, belong in the dustbin of history.

God DO help us all…

A waggish Irish friend ruefully admitted that the Church of Ireland has almost, if not all, the “classy” church properties. They said that the RC properties are usually pretty cheesy. According to them, “If they weren’t, they were made cheesy on purpose after Vatican 2”. An Orthodox friend said, “I like the C of I. Low Church, staid, calm, and patriotic towards the Republic, tasteful and warm. Sane and Orthodox-friendly”. As for me… I don’t know enough to have an opinion… but it’s Orthodox St Patrick’s Day. Have a Guinness… “Guinness is better for you (than anything else is)”, as its slogan in Gaelic has it… not a bad thought, no?

A Blast From the Past… With a Hint for the Future

I was rummaging through an old box… back issues of Orthodox Life… yellowed numbers of The Orthodox Church… ah, here it was! It was an old, poorly-produced, late ‘70s production from the OCA… The “Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia” (“Synod”): A Report prepared by The Orthodox Church in America. There’s no date on it, I had written on it, “published late 1970s”, an OCA priest gave it to me many moons ago. I’ll give you an image of one of the pages… for all you kids under 30, typescript was common before the age of the computer. Frankly, the OCA didn’t have the money to invest in fancy printing equipment, ergo, much of what came out of Syosset or SVS was rather cheesy (Jordanville’s material was always of higher quality, typographically). The only reason that the OCA had those little service booklets in the late 70s and early 80s was that John Opalka and Mike Behuniak printed them at OAI in Latham NY, as a service to the Church (may their memories be eternal!). Here it is; I’ll tell you why I include it below:

Note this paragraph:

However, [the ROCOR] also supports the activities of several groups of Greek “Old Calendarists” and has consecrated bishops of them, thus interfering in the internal affairs of the autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece, which considers its “Old Calendarists” as schismatic. This is additional proof that the “Synod” is outside of the canonical limits of the Orthodox Church.

Tonsuring a nun to the Great Schema without the permission of the ruling bishop with jurisdiction over her monastic community is “interfering in the internal affairs of the autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece”, which means, “This is additional proof that [JP] is outside of the canonical limits of the Orthodox Church”. When one adds to that the fact that the OCA Holy Synod expressly and specifically refused to take this group of nuns into the OCA, there’s only one conclusion.

FATHAUSEN DELENDA EST.

Bishop Melchisedek Pleska has to convene an immediate emergency meeting of the Holy Synod, with the stated purpose of removing this disobedient and wayward hierarch (and his drooling running-dog-lackeys Brum, Eliel, and Matthew Tate (such small fry as Jensen, Fester, Tosi, Velencia, and Bobby K can wait)). It doesn’t matter that it’s Great Lent… the MP had a Holy Synod meeting on 22 March, and the EP is going to have one on 8 April… there one has it, one can follow the MP and EP, or, one can follow Love BT (who claimed that Holy Synod meetings were impossible in Great Lent).

Bishop Mel… as the deacon says to the priest in liturgy, “It’s time for the Lord to act”. You are the Lord’s instrument… “it’s time for the Lord to act”. Do your duty, sir, and do it expeditiously.

Editor’s Postscript:

I’ve had several replies from correspondents on the boobish practise of putting bishop’s names in all caps or putting crosses on front of their names. If one looks at back numbers of The Orthodox Church, one notes that Lyonyo and Connie Tarasar never did this. In addition, more than one correspondent assured me that they never saw this style used in internal documents and memoranda of ANY legit Orthodox archdiocese (I do have priests I correspond with, after all). In short, I conclude that Mark Stokoe didn’t pick up this nasty habit at the OCA Chancery… Mark, cut this foolishness out, it’s like picking your nose in public… stop it, already!
