On 24-26 May 2011, the CIA-trained “police” of Mikhail Saakashvili’s American-backed junta brutally attacked protesters in downtown Tbilisi. They didn’t DARE touch Nino Burdzhanadze, the leading opposition leader… she’s got guts and she’s in-tight with VVP. This refutes the lies of a loud ignoramus in Stokoe’s comboxes, one Francis Frost… his repetition of rightwing hogwash on Georgia and Russia is laughable in the extreme.
For instance, in the 2008 South Ossetia Affair, the Georgian forces melted away after two Russian Divisions marched to the relief of Tskhinval… the total battle casualties were relatively minor. Why? After all, the northern Caucasus is perfect “defender’s terrain” and a battalion could hold off a brigade for days… the South Ossetian militia (several lightly-equipped light infantry battalions) were able to hold off the four attacking Georgian manoeuvre brigades with full combat support elements (1 1/3 division-equivalents) until the Russian forces arrived. Given that the rule-of-thumb is that one needs a three-to-one superiority to prevail, and that the mountainous terrain applied a “force multiplier”, one can see that the Georgian forces were sufficient to hold off the Russian forces for weeks (the Russians had admitted equipment and doctrinal shortfalls, as the Russian press reported (especially by Ilya Kramnik of RIA-Novosti)).
Furthermore, the Georgians made no attempts to harass Russian supply lines (which ran on gravel roads in high mountain terrain) or mount a serious op on the Roki Tunnel (the chokepoint in the Russian logistics chain). The Georgians just melted away, they deserted, they took “French leave” en masse… as an American soldier said of them in Iraq, “They stole everything that wasn’t nailed down. They’re not fit to run the fry-station at the local Mickey Dee’s”. The American military mission in Georgia sent in lying reports to their superiors… they didn’t “rock the boat”… they did their time, they “punched their tickets”, and they left when their tour was over. Russian forces advanced as far as Gori, and stopped… of their own accord, for there were no organised units left between them and Tbilisi. After wrecking Georgian military infrastructure in the region and carting away what was usable from the ruined bases, the Russian forces left… again, on their own accord.
Note well that Mark Stokoe didn’t correct Francis Frost… for two reasons. Firstly, Mark isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer; he knows little outside of OCA insider politics (don’t forget, he’s a former Syosset drone who’s lusting to regain his sinecure there). Secondly, Mark knows that most of his audience are rightwing konvertsy nutters, so, he allows sorts such as Francis Frost to natter away… the truth means nothing to Mr Stokoe. Look at the above pictures… THIS is what the corporate paymasters of the Republican Party wish to impose throughout the world (this is what crook American churchmen such as JP, Potapov, Lyonyo, and Lebedeff support)… this is what they want to impose here in the USA, too. What’s more, John McCain and Randall Scheunemann are paid mouthpieces for the Saakashvili gang. THIS is the actual ugly face of Globalisation… this is the true demented face of Rugged Individualism and Corporate Rights…
One last thing… Patriarch Ilya Ghudushauri-Shiolashvili of Georgia issued his personal condolences on the death of Abkhazian President Sergei Bagapsh… he didn’t kowtow to Saakashvili and his CIA-trained thugs. Bully for Patriarch Ilya! What a brave Christian gentleman!
