Electile Dysfunction:
The inability to become aroused over any of the choices for President put forth by either party in the 2012 election year.

Americans aren’t convinced by either side of the duopoly this time around… they don’t like the Democrats, they don’t like the Republicans, but there’s no one else to vote for. Read this:

No one’s happy with the choices given them… and all the media hype and all the political showmanship isn’t helping one little bit. Reflect on this, the average spending on healthcare in the EU is 8 percent, to cover everyone… the USA spends 17 percent for patchy coverage (mostly, enriching pro-GOP HMOs), with HMO death panels refusing care so that HMO execs can whoop it up in Palm Beach at your expense. Also, the USA refuses to enact tort reform… leading to massive spending on “defensive medicine” and settlements (mostly, enriching pro-Dem lawyers). Neither side of the duopoly has incentive to reform the system… neither side really wants to cut into greedy HMO middlemen or rapacious ambulance-chasing lawyers (that would cut into contributions, dontcha know).
That’s only ONE of the reasons why Americans are apathetic over the duopoly’s shell game. Give us a Jack Layton… now, THAT would be a choice…
