To start this one off, here’s something that a friend and I tossed around:

Let’s be frank… Fathausen and Lyonyo both KNEW Of his Uniate ties. You KNOW what a first-generation po-nashemu Hunkie would’ve said of it all! There’s NO SUCH THING as an “Eastern Church”… there’s the Orthodox Church and there’s the heterodox confessions. What concord hath Christ and Belial? One of these things is NOT like the other. Can you see Dyadya Milosh and Baba Maria in your mind’s eye? I can see him ramming a pitchfork FAR up their collective arses, and I can see her hitting their pointed little heads right smartly with her broom! It’s not over yet… have you noticed how SILENT Stokoe is? He says NOTHING without Lyonyo’s express approval, no doubt. The train wreck’s coming…

Be good… the world’s being its crank old self… people do NOTHING until the crash comes. Don’t we EVER learn?

I agree. Fathausen, Lyonyo, BP, et al knew and DON’T CARE about Jillions’ involvement with the Uniates. When the first-generation po-nashemu Old Guard were on the scene, they never would’ve tried this… not even Lyonyo would be so brazen or stupid.

The so-called Eastern (Byzantine or Greek) Catholic Churches are simply particular churches within the Roman Catholic Church in the way that the Archdiocese of New York is a particular church employing the Latin/Roman rite under the Pope of Rome, the only difference with the Uniates is that they use a different rite/ritual… a so-called “Eparchy” of the Uniate Church is no more Orthodox than is the Latin RC Diocese of Albany NY(as you pointed out once, canonically, in their system, there’s no such thing as a Roman Catholic Church in the USA). Simply put, Uniates are Roman Catholics who believe in purgatory, the Immaculate Conception, universal Papal primacy of jurisdiction over all dioceses and local churches worldwide, a distorted non-patristic so-called “Mariology“, etc. There’s no “almost” in Orthodoxy, no matter what anyone may believe, no matter how close they are to what the Orthodox Church confesses… either you’re in communion with the Church or you aren’t in communion… it’s that simple.

Fathausen KNEW that Jillions was a faculty member at a Uniate institution. What’s worse, the Galician Uniates run it, who attack our co-religionists in the Western Ukraine. When Jillions claimed that he had to “inform his employer”, he didn’t have the decency to say, “I work for the Uniates; I find nothing wrong with them. I’m silent about Uniate aggression in the Ukraine and I don’t impede anti-Orthodox rhetoric and I don’t protest anti-Church actions”. No… that would be HONEST. John Jillions stands before the world as a dishonest and lying man. He works for the victory of the enemies of the Church and expects us to applaud him, no less. If he wishes to work for the enemies of Christ’s Church, that’s one thing… to offer him Church office is quite another, it’s obscene and without defence. He shouldn’t even be a priest under such circumstances. Give John Jillions a choice… let him work for the Uniates, or, let him be a priest… one, or, the other. Let him choose.

In any case, we really should withdraw the offer to make such a traitor Chancellor of the OCA. He spits on the memory of all the people who left the Unia to come into Orthodoxy by working for the Uniates. Specifically, he spits on the Blessed Memory of St Aleksei Toth… St Maksim Sandovich… the Martyrs of Talerhof… Fr Gavriil Kostelnik… St Aleksei Kabalyuk. He spits on the memory of Blessed Laurus Škurla of Jordanville… who was a TRUE son of Carpatho-Russia. I needn’t go on… Jillions is not one of us in heart, spirit, and soul; he hates the embodied faith that we hold dear… and the sooner we all realise that, the better.

Let Jillions try to peddle his rubbishy twaddle to the Real Deal folks on Russian Hill in Mayfield PA… I don’t think that there’d be many takers. They honour their fathers and mothers in the Faith down there…

Jillions thinks that St Maksym Sandovich’s death was a misunderstanding, and Fr Alexis Toth bringing back the Uniates to the Orthodox Church was a waste of time. Let’s remember that the Russian Orthodox clergy who suffered in the Gulags were treated badly, not by their atheist cellmates, but by the Uniate CLERGY!

D’oh! Ginny Nieuwsma strikes again! Lil’ Mizz Ginny has no bloody idea on how to run an official website. If an office is to be closed for a holiday, whether secular or religious, it’s announced IN ADVANCE of the date, NOT on the date itself. Click here for confirmation of what I just wrote. Ginny… you post the first notice of a “long weekend” closure on the Wednesday preceding, in this case, Wednesday 5 October. A second notice would go up on the Friday preceding the weekend, in this case Friday 7 October. This gives advance and proper publicity of the closure. You DON’T do it on the date involved… that’s tacky, that’s lazy, and that’s juvenile. A pro would do as I noted… this means that Lil’ Mizz Ginny is NO pro, she’s been chosen for her ignorant fanaticism and Stepin Fetchit loyalty to El Gordo.

You’ll also note that oca.org has an obit of a relative unknown… someone not a past or present official of the Church. Note why this Neoliberal was included:

That’s to say, he’s a political rightwinger… an opponent of Orthodox culture, but a supporter of Parisian pseudo-Orthodoxy. To put it bluntly, a man who favoured the godless Sectarian West over Orthodox civilisation. Obviously, a Corporatist CFR hack like Lyonyo… and, probably, a “Friend of Lyonyo”. A noted matushka amongst the Romanians died, and oca.org had to be jazzed in order to post anything about her, but it sheds buckets of tears over an “anti-communist” political hack. This should NEVER have appeared on an official website… it implies that the OCA approves the Neoliberal Free Market ideology. The Church stands for Social Justice, not “the race goes to the swiftest”. This is a nasty misuse of a person’s death. I stand in awe at the mystery of death, but I won’t be silent when the rightwing scummers use an obit to push their agenda. NATO is an evil institution… as the wars in Kosovo and Afghanistan prove for even the slow learners. Orthodox people shouldn’t be supporting such aggression and warmongering.

God do preserve me… His Holiness is right… what the leading elements in the Sectarian West stand for is fraudulent and wicked, and we must oppose those who are trying to contaminate the Church with such rubbish. This is truly too much of a muchness…

10 October 2011. Now, For Something Entirely Different… From the Zhigulyovskoe Beer Museum in Moscow

For the USA, it’s a holiday… Columbus Day. It’s the real end of the “outdoor season” that begins at Easter. Yesterday was a glorious “Indian Summer” (in Russian, it’s known as “Baba Leto”… “Grandma’s Summer”) day in Albany… it was warm, the trees were in full colour, the leaves were falling… classic October weather in the Northeast. Have yourself a pivo and SMILE… that’s what really riles ’em.
