Fitch Official Sez: Greece is Insolvent and Default’s Inevitable

______________________________

On Monday, the Italian AGI news agency quoted a senior Fitch official as saying at a conference in Stockholm that a Greek default’s inevitable and that it’ll happen in an “orderly” manner. Edward Parker, the Managing Director for the Sovereign and Supranational Group in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, said at a conference in Stockholm, “It’s going to happen. Greece is insolvent; therefore, it’s going to default. It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone”. Greece is in talks with private investors under the Private Sector Involvement (PSI) programme, which envisages a 50 percent write-down in the face value of its debt, or about 100 billion Euros (4 trillion Roubles. 128 billion USD. 84 billion UK Pounds). PIMCO chief executive Mohamed el-Erian said a write-down of 50 percent would be insufficient, as it would “still leave open way too many questions about Greece’s economic and financial outlook, which wouldn’t simulate growth”. If the Greek government fails to agree with private investors, Greece won’t receive another tranche of international financial aid and will default on its debt in March.

American scientists launched an experiment with the purpose of determining the amount of moisture contained in snowflakes by their shape and size. Therefore, according to the NASA website, in future, it may be possible to measure the amount of precipitation by using satellites.

I think that all of us can catch the leering “double entendre” in Mr Yolkin’s title… if you can’t catch it, all the King’s horses and all the King’s men couldn’t help you (let alone sinful little ol’ me)… even with some boost from the birds n’ the bees

A newly discovered frog species, found in Papua-New Guinea, Paedophryne amauensis, is the world’s tiniest known vertebrate, according to PLoS ONE. Averaging less than one-third of an inch (7.7 millimetres) in length, the frogs are literally able to fit on a US dime. A team of American researchers led by Louisiana State University herpetologist Chris Austin made the discovery.

17 January 2012. What the Wikipedia Blackout Will Mean for this Site…

If SOPA and PIPA pass, THIS is the “look” of the future. Only corporate-sponsored “truth” will exist… everything else will be censored… EVERYTHING…

______________________________

Tomorrow, Wednesday 18 January 2012, Wikipedia will go offline for 24 hours in protest at a crude attempt at censorship, a proposal of the Republicans in the US Congress, SOPA and PIPA. What will that mean for this site, in particular? Firstly, many of the links won’t work. Secondly, I’ll be unable to access Wikipedia to check spellings and get link addresses. Ergo, I’ll be posting some things tomorrow that won’t require linkages. The only exception to that would be if a truly momentous event were to occur in the Orthodox Church or in Russia. I’d get it out tout-suite, no question about it. I’ll get pieces ready and edit them, ready for insertion of links, that’ll mean that there’ll be a plethora of postings after 23.59 EST tomorrow.

We’ll all live through it. It’s better for it to happen for 24 hours, rather than permanently. In any case, President Obama will veto these scumbag bills, thank God for that. Don’t forget… the Republican Party wants to take away your free access to information on the internet so that its corporate paymasters can squeeze out more money from you so that they can buy another yacht, McMansion, or SUV. Isn’t that SPECIAL? That’s the world of Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, and Ron Paul. Welcome to “Nineteen Eighty-Four”… Big Brother does know better than you what you need (and it isn’t a living wage or proper healthcare, kids)…
