19 January 2012. Crown Decides to Try Storheim… NO NEWS OF THIS ON OCA.ORG

Archbishop Seraphim Storheim’s going to be in the dock as a defendant…the Crown Court in Winnepeg found sufficient evidence to proceed to trial. Note well that there’s no news of this on oca.org. Ginny Nieuwsma’s a lying sack o’ shit and a soulless hack flack. She had the DUTY to post this as soon as the news came in. She didn’t… which showed her character (actually, lack of same) to the world.

What else are they hiding? Such as… where’s Dickie Wood? Why doesn’t Lyonyo want you to know that? Pass the jug… I know that the world’s crank, but must I get rank and acrid confirmation of it daily?

A Whisper Heard in the Loggia:

Paffhausen knew about this two years before Seraphim was arrested, but he refused to investigate this… why is JP trying to ignore this? Is he still covering up for the HOOMie weasels?

Yes… and why did Paffhausen try to hack into Garklavs’ computer? Perspirin’ minds wanna know…

19 January 2012. New ROCOR “Institute” in Mould of Dodgy “Patriarch Athenagoras Institute” in Berkeley CA

A friend reminded me of another oddbod “Orthodox” facility in the Bay Area. It’s called the Patriarch Athenagoras Orthodox Institute, but oddly enough, for an institution that claims to be “Greek Orthodox“, it has no hierarch of the GOAA on its board, and Metropolitan Niketas Loulias is NOT listed as a hierarch of the GOAA, and he apparently “retired” at the age of… 52! He has the grandiloquent title of “Metropolitan of Dardania and Exarch of all Hellespontus“… if we follow the rule, “the grander the title, the lesser the reality”, one realises that this poseur has no parishes, no money, no faithful, and no following, save for a small group of deluded intellectuals. Furthermore, the PAOI is NOT listed as an accredited GOAA institution, but OrthoWiki lists it as a “seminary”, but offers no page on it, only a link to the PAOI website.

Loulias is an “interesting” sort, even if only a tithe of what’s whispered about him’s true. One of his associates is the well-known Auxiliary Bishop Demitrios of ChicagoIakovos Coucouzis wanted Demetrios ordained bishop, but it almost didn’t happen. The story out there is that people got tired of seeing a prospective bishop gadding along Halsted Street in Lakeview, in and out of Sidetracks… truly, you can’t make this shit up. Is it true? That’s the word whispered in the loggia… believe it or not, as you will. I can only report what people say… I’ll simply say that I refuse to certify it (for reasons of liability, not reasons of truthfulness).

In short, this new ROCOR “Institute” doesn’t “smell right”… and if it doesn’t look right, it may also be crook in substance, too. It looks like it and the PAOI are “two peas in a pod”… Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Spend your money on something REAL… go on holiday in Tinos… that’s the ticket…

ROCOR May Lose its Main Building in New York

The ROCOR is making efforts to retain ownership of its headquarters on Park Avenue in New York. The threat of losing the building, which is the HQ of its Holy Synod, is a result of a financial crisis facing the ROCOR. As noted in a statement published on the official ROCOR website, if it’s to retain the complex, it requires a large injection of funds to carry out urgent repairs and continued financial support to cover the costs of maintaining the building, plus a significant increase in annual assessments to cover a large administrative budget deficit. The statement said, “Ever since the ROCOR became involved in the global Orthodox Christian world, the need to have an effective and thriving administrative centre, wherever it may be, has only grown”. The document said that the annual operating deficit of the Holy Synod of the ROCOR has been about 500,000 USD (15.7 million Roubles. 387,000 Euros. 323,000 UK Pounds) in recent years, pointing up, “The ROCOR administration’s aware that if the sale of the building is the only way out, the Church will lose the Cathedral of the Sign in New York, as it’s located in the Holy Synod building”. The ROCOR statement makes it clear that the “seriousness of the situation leaves little time to find solutions”.

Editor’s Note:

It appears coincidental that this is coming out now… is the Centre using this situation? Perspirin’ minds wanna know, so I asked my “kitchen cabinet” to comment on this situation. This is what I received:

  • I think the whole thing could be “providential”. What’s the point of keeping the Synod building when you have the real thing around the corner at St Nick’s?
  • The Centre won’t do anything either way, they’ll let it take its course until they’re asked to intervene… and, then…
  • Several bishops, including Metropolitan Merkury Ivanov, believe that the MP parishes in the USA and Canada are going to merge with the ROCOR, and that traditional OCA parishes will join the new North American ROC. Much the same will happen in Europe, with no decision made for “Down Under” as of yet. Then, what’s left of the OCA would become a separate autonomous outfit, either under the MP, or, perhaps, with Antioch or Istanbul.

I replied to a friend, saying:

Both the OCA and ROCOR are sinking… and QUICKLY. SIT ON YOUR MONEY! Jordanville and St T’s are the real centres… they’re the only things that the grounded faithful will support… and you agree with me 100 percent on that, if nothing else. We must stand TOGETHER. No matter how much we disagree on other things, we agree on the Church… and that’s as it should be!

What more is there to say? Keep your parish’s money safe and out of the hands of First Family apparatchiki (don’t even let your priest have access to it, as priests are notoriously susceptible to pressure from the apparat). My heart goes out to the parishes dominated by First Family clergy… they’re going to be milked dry, and there’s nothing that the rest of us can do about it. Crank world, isn’t it?

This Just In Department:

How can you make such a loss each year, if you sit on such a valuable and largely empty piece of real estate on Park Avenue? Simple… it’s proof of decades of incompetence!

This needs no comment, does it?

The “Institute Of Theology of Ss Cyril and Athanasius of Alexandria” Opened in San Francisco CA with the Blessing of the ROCOR Holy Synod

The image for the original post, in all of its low-res glory…

WARNING! What follows is utter horseshit and it’s an internet will o’ the wisp. It’s cultish HOOMie loopishness, best NOT supported by Orthodox ChristiansCAVEAT LECTOR!

The Institute of Theology of Ss Cyril and Athanasius of Alexandria opened in San Francisco with the blessing of the ROCOR Holy Synod and the Archbishop Kirill Dmitrieff of San Francisco and Western America. The institute aims to become a leading centre for the study of Orthodox theology, history, thought, and practise on the west coast of the US, according to the official website of the ROCOR Diocese of San Francisco and Western America. The new theological school will offer a Certificate and Diploma in Orthodox Studies through full-time and correspondence courses. It will carry out distance learning remotely through its website. On 17-18 February 2012, the Institute in will host its first regional symposium in San Francisco, The Living Symbol: The Study of the Inner Meaning of the Divine Liturgy. The main speakers will be Archimandrite Meletius Webber, Archimandrite Irenaeus Steenburgen, Archpriest Josiah Trenham. Registration and more information about the Institute are available online by clicking here.

Editor’s Afterword:

This is a bunch of internet phoney jabronies! Firstly, the presence of Meletios Webber tips off all grounded people that this is completely crackbrained and bonkers. Secondly, Fathausen’s on its board. Thirdly, note well that it doesn’t offer a REAL degree… this phoney-baloney “Institute” is NOT accredited, it has NO buildings of its own, it has NO faculty in the accepted sense of the word, and there are NO grounded ethnic Orthodox speakers at their first “conference”. Betcha that most of its “faculty” are uncredentialised HOOMie and konvertsy poseurs.

Why is this announcement on Patriarchia.ru? It wasn‘t on oca.org or the official ROCOR website (was it refused by them? Perspirin’ minds wanna know…)… yes, the ROCOR Diocese of San Francisco and Western America DID have a blurb, but there was NOTHING on the main site. No one from STS, SVS, or HTS is part of this konvertsy chicanery. My guess is that one of the Blunder’s gang at Bolshaya Ordynka inserted this (was Dickie Wood involved? By the way, where IS Dickie hiding out at present?) in an attempt to boost their pal Paffhausen at the Centre. I’ll tell the Centre, my friends in SF tell me that this is one of those internet will o’ the wisps. It has no more existence than the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, or Truthful Politicians.

Is this going to be the “seminary” for Fathausen’s Rump OCA that’s going to arise after the fall of the present structures? There’s been NO news of this on either the official OCA or ROCOR main websites, which leads one to the conclusion that this is something that Fathausen ran up on his own with the assistance of his HOOMie buddies (with some help from like-minded sorts in the ROCOR)… talk about an abortion run up by the apprentice whilst the blacksmith was out (it has the appearance of a Bates Eight-Barrel Bottle-Thrower (an actual “weapon” referenced in one of Ian Hogg’s books)). It has more than a whiff of Rube Goldberg or Heath Robinson about it… with the caveat that Messrs Goldberg and Robinson did have concepts that worked, albeit in a comical and over-complicated way, whilst this is simply an attempt to fool the believers into believing that all’s well with the current situation.

GIVE THIS PHONEY “INSTITUTE” NO MONEY OR SUPPORT. Anything with HOOMie participation is crank and un-Christian, and that’s all that there’s to say on it. Never forget, Sectarian Evangelicalism is NOT Christian in the least, and this reeks of that. Keep your money in your pocket or your purse. Buy a bottle of Bushmills, instead, and salute our sinful-ginful world. You’d be doing something based in reality, in that case…
