12 November 2012. “Ancient Faith (sic) Radio” To Broadcast “Edited” Version of OCA Sobor… Will Not Have Real-Time Live Feed

______________________________

Read this. It’s clear that the konvertsy aren’t going to offer a real-time live feed. They’re going to edit it before broadcast and only air “official” viewpoints. In short, for so-called “Ancient Faith (sic) Radio”, the fix is in. They’re being blatant about it, they admit, “Audios will be posted immediately editing and uploading to our site”… that is, nothing will be broadcast “as is”. In short, this is a “banana race” kids, and Lyonyo and Bobby are trying to hide the spit box from the track officials. However, you knew that already, didn’t you?

One wonders if all the “fixing” will hold… God willing, it won’t…

Update from the Grapevine:

I’m definitely not one to defend konvertsy, but Ancient Faith Radio also broadcast the 2008 and 2011 Sobors the same way (not a live feed), as well as one or two Antiochian Archdiocese conventions.  This is most definitely not something new.

In short, these jabronies have NEVER told the truth and nothing but the truth… nice…

A Russian would find this drop-dead funny on the spot. It portrays an old-school kvas kiosk, with the requisite baba behind the counter. “When will it be delivered?” is an old-Sov time question… it leads into such things as the old chestnut about American hell and Russian hell (“It’s just like home! Sometimes, it’s not delivered, sometimes there’s not enough to go around, y’ never know”). This is something beyond language; it’s a “cultural funny”… Americans wonder why the Russians are rolling on the floor… Russians wonder why the Americans don’t have a sense of humour

Weather in European Russia has been unstable. In the second half of autumn, it’s been far warmer than the seasonal average.

12 November 2012. To Serve Those Who Serve…

______________________________

Most armies have chaplains attached… the above priest is a Russian Army chaplain in World War I (the picture was taken in occupied Lvov). These guys serve the guys who serve… a noble calling if there ever was one. Give ’em a hand… they deserve it.

12 November 2012. Veteran’s Day is Being Observed Today… Thanks to All of You on Active Service

______________________________

Give thanks to all those on active service in the forces. They’re not responsible for the crazy mess that this country’s in… not at all. They do the fighting, they do the bleeding, they do the dying… but they’re not responsible for it. If you want to get pissed at somebody, blame the pols and the Affluent Effluent oligarchs. They want the wars… they profit from them. The soldiers don’t want the wars (in large part)… all that they get is the chance to die in them. There’s a huge difference.

Thank you to all of you in the forces…
