I got this from a Cabinet member:
Metropolitan Herman told close friends that his ban from St Tikhon’s Monastery was lifted. He was informed of this decision at a meeting at his home attended by Metropolitan Tikhon, Bishop Michael Dahulich, and Abbot Sergius Boyer last Thursday, 7 March. Apparently, it’s entirely up to him whether to attend services at the monastery church. This Sunday, 10 March, however, Herman attended liturgy at Holy Resurrection Cathedral in Wilkes-Barre PA, which has been his custom in the recent past.
Of course, the decision was taken secretly and not announced publicly, it’s the OCA, after all. Such secrecy is one of the reasons why the OCA has no cred. Another is its cowardice in dealing with clerical miscreants such as Bobby K and Ray Velencia. For instance, would the RCs allow a suspended priest to wear clericals or make a deposed priest a “parish administrator” (with a larger salary than most priests)? I think NOT… and until such shit stops, the OCA will lack any sort of “oomph” whatsoever.
