There’s no dialogue in this video… none. The pictures tell the tale. I’ll say this, the ruling class in the USSR didn’t steal ONE PERCENT as much as the present ruling oligarchs do (they didn’t move in the One Percent circles that the present oligarchs do). Do mark it down that the USSR didn’t cater to the Western rich… ergo, one has to take all Western descriptions of it sceptically, for the Corporate paymasters of Western media, political parties, and academe bankrolled much of the opposition to the USSR. Orthodox people should reflect on that… however, Victor Potapov publicly attacked (and attacks) the Soviet legacy. Note well that he doesn’t tell you that members of his extended family were in the Black Hundreds and the KONR… fancy that… nor does he ever admit that the Rodzianko clan (which he married into) sold out to Western intel interests. ROCOR should remove his unhinged rant about Stalin from its website… otherwise, it gives the impression that it supports Potapov’s rightwing bloviations. In short, many voices here in the diaspora are corrupt due to their Far Right politics (Jordanville is particularly rife with such sorts… not everyone there is like that, but all too many are). Some corners of the ROCOR make the John Birch Society look leftist… I kid you not, I’ve met them.
What Russia needs is to restore the USSR (it doesn’t matter under which name it’s done, by the way)… it doesn’t need “advice” from diaspora elements who’ve sold out to hostile foreign interests (often, for filthy lucre, as Lebedeff admitted). You can have the USSR or you can have oligarch thievery… those are the only two options on offer. Oh, yes…Maria Vladimirovna would support the oligarchs and the sellout of Russia to Corporate Interests if they gave her enough dengi (and they would, too)… I thought that you’d like to know that. Ponder this, one of the Romanov family said, “To say the family is divided is a euphemism. The family is raving mad”. One last thing before I go… Maria Vladimirovna doesn’t consider the grandchildren of Grand Princess Ksenia Aleksandrovna as “royals”… that makes her barmy in my book (and in many others, too). ROCOR supports this nutcase… why?
I’d love to see Our Lord Christ use His Instruments to clean out diaspora Russian Orthodoxy the way He cleaned out the temple… with a cat o’ nine tails! It’d do my heart good to see such (along with many others)…

Duma Rejects Raise in Minimum Wage… Is This Shot in the Arm for the KPRF?

On Friday, Russian lawmakers rejected an amendment to raise the country’s minimum wage to match its national poverty line starting in January. Russia’s current minimum wage of 5,205 roubles ($158) a month is 27 percent below the government’s own national average poverty threshold, set at 7,095 roubles ($215) in July. Deputy Mikhail Tarasenko said that the RF Gosduma Labour Committee “didn’t feel able to support this amendment”, without explaining why. The rejected amendment was part of a bill to bump Russia’s minimum wage up to 5,554 roubles ($169) in January 2014. Nevertheless, the Gosduma still expects to pass a bill raising the wage by about 350 roubles ($11) in a vote on Friday.
The minimum wage is a controversial concept among economists. Some argue that raising the salary threshold increases costs and thus unemployment, as companies may employ fewer people at higher salaries. Others, however, believe the relationship between minimum wage and unemployment is more complicated, and that the government is responsible to provide a salary guarantee at least equal to the poverty line. Russia has one of the lowest minimum wages in Europe, ranking 23rd out of 27 European countries in a 2013 study by the RIA Rating agency.

I’ll tell you why the deputies didn’t explain why they didn’t support a real rise in the minimum wage… BRIBES. It happens all the time in the US Congress (John Boehner and Mitch McConnell are bought n’ paid-for whores of the insurance industry, for instance)… so, the Russian lawmakers are only following the example of their more corrupt American mentors! Money talks and bullshit walks in crapitalism… that’s why the Left is gaining tread and cred in Russia and the USA (the Republicans couldn’t even win in Virginia… where a large bloc of sectarian voters usually puts them over the top). As Comrade Zyuganov said, “Events are filling the sails of the ship of the Left”… he’s right… in spades…
