By the way… the nave at St John the Baptist isn’t large… you can fill it with a couple hundred people… and Paffso’s got that in his claque. Again… this didn’t merit a mention on the ROCOR website, so, bear in mind that it’s a probably an unauthorised private deal between Paffso and Potapov. To speak frankly, the OCA should kick Paffso out of the District and send him back to his monastery… he’s a monk, after all. The canons DO state that we should take monks who layabout in the City by force back to their monastic abode (I wonder why the konvertsy toddlers NEVER mention THAT canon?).

A Cabineteer sent me a link on Facebook for Paffso Blessing the Waters at Potapov’s parish in the District. I got the following message:

OK, let’s try the parish website. Well, that’s way out of date… the last thing on the photo gallery was almost four years ago. Things are getting curiouser and curiouser…

In short, Paffso and Potapov had a roll-your-own ceremony; it might not have had permission from higher-ups. Don’t read too much into this… Paffso and Potapov suck up to the same scabrous crowd on K Street; it just may be a case of “shitbirds of a feather flock together” and nothing more. However, that’s “out there”… and it proves that Potapov’s still ploughing his own furrow. After all, he’s a First Families apparatchik.

As I said, don’t read too much into this… if it were official, it’d have more publicity than this. How low the mighty have fallen…

Paul Gassios… Is He the Up n’ Comin’ OCA Bishop of the Midwest? Perspirin’ Minds Wanna Know…

Who’ll be the real successor to Job Osacky (Moriak was a fraud, best forgotten)? Time will tell us…

It seems that Paul Gassios, runner-up to Moriak in the OCA Diocese of the Midwest episcopal election in 2010, might eventually become bishop after all. I’ve heard from several reputable sources that Alexander Golitzin doesn’t want to stay locum tenens of the Midwest for too much longer as his own diocese (Bulgarian) is far-flung; it keeps him busy enough. Sources say that Paul Gassios is the next administrator of the Midwest Diocese, and, eventually, bishop. A bit of background on Gassios… he grew up in the GOAA, in the Detroit area. He drifted away from the Church, as many young people do, and came into the OCA sometime in his 20s, I believe. He’s a jolly, friendly, down-to-earth sort. He also won’t rock the diocesan boat. Before going over to the Bulgarian Diocese (he’s now at the Bulgarian Cathedral in Toledo OH), he was a priest in the Midwest Diocese for about 10 years, mostly under Vladyki Job, if I remember correctly. He knows how they do things in the diocese… mostly live and let live… so there wouldn’t be problems and no Moriak-like witch-hunts.

This isn’t set in stone… but it’s what’s out there. Keep an eye out… it seems that things are movin’…

This was in Vladivostok in the Russian Far East. Do note how well bundled-up the priests and MChS rescue personnel are. Do ya think that they have their long and woolies on underneath? It certainly looks COLD enough. All the “official” iceholes have rescue personnel onsite in case of emergencies. The authorities frown on “roll your own” iceholes, and you can even get arrested for doing it in some places (it’s dangerous and you put the authorities to some trouble to nick you, you see). Oh, yes… there are two warm-up tents for a reason… one is for the gents, the other one is for the ladies. This is Russia, where they still have standards; it isn’t Club Med or Sandals…

It’s time to stop coddling the Western-led provocateurs on the Maidan. Look at the first image… they had plenty of media coverage, that is, they tipped off the media, who refused to tell the proper authorities of the crime about to happen. The Western media exposed themselves as (at best) enablers of Langley‘s machinations, or (at worst) willing and paid collaborators in those dirty plans. In short, the media is complicit in this. I didn’t think that I could think lower of the Western media, but this is a new Slough of Despond. Such shenanigans disgust me to no end, and I’m NOT alone in thinking that. The West’s arrogance is mind-boggling. May God see and judge…

Friends tell me that activity in most of the city is boring and normal… life’s going on as it should. However, beware schismatic “Orthodox” and Uniates… THIS is what they want, so that they can stir up things to advance their cause. Don’t hate them… oppose them, for they support anarchy such as the above. Oh, yes… they do get plenty of “foreign aid”… the money-trail leads to the Vatican and the District. NEVER argue with such feral sorts online (especially, one “Josephus Flavius” of Byzantine Texas… he likes to hang around Orthodox fora making provocative comments. NEVER reply to him… spam him)… they’ll try to get YOU banned for “hate speech“. I’ve seen it happen more than once. Please, take a care with such sorts… they have no scruples or decency…
