20 February 2014. Breaking News… The TRUTH on the Ukrainian Situation

00 Kiev riots 01. 20.02.14

THIS is what the oppos and their Western backers want (and the Uniates and schismatic Orthodox slobber their witless approval of it)… it’s why no decent person can support them. Support the legitimate government of the Ukraine… it’s your duty before God and man…

On Wednesday, Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the RF Gosduma Committee for SNG and Eurasian Integration told reporters that we shouldn’t allow the situation in the Ukraine to become a repeat of “the Yugoslavian scenario“, stating that the events in the Ukraine are due to Western instigation, to carry out Western geopolitical goals. He said, “It’s necessary to stop the bloodshed using any means, we mustn’t allow outside intervention”, pointing up that the West is instigating bloodshed in our fraternal country. He noted, “What’s happening in the Ukraine is chaotic, but it’s chaos provoked by radicals and well-organised in a military sense”.

Slutsky observed that Ukrainian oppositionist leaders no longer control the situation, but their “enormous ambition and reluctance to consider proposed compromises by the authorities led to another wave of violence, arson, casualties, and already 25 deaths, including deaths among civilians, police, and reporters”. All this is happening “at the West’s instigation, to further its geopolitical goals. It couldn’t care less about the fate of the whole country and its people”. Slutsky stated that the so-called protest has long overstepped all permissible boundaries from the viewpoint of European democratic values and brought the country to the brink of division. He added, “We mustn’t allow a Yugoslavian scenario to happen in the Ukraine”. Slutsky made it clear that Russia and the RF Gosduma is ready to offer whatever help is necessary, when the Ukrainians ask for it, saying, “I felt very sorry that they broke the Olympic truce and that they urged Ukrainian athletes to withdraw from the Winter Games in Sochi, they made them hostages to the extremists’ actions”.

The Minoborony Ukrainy stated that the situation at its military depots, despite another round of confrontation between radical oppositionists and the authorities, remains normal. On Wednesday morning, the Minoborony told Interfax-Ukraine, “All our units are under control. There are no problems. All Ukrainian Armed Forces depots are secure”. It also denied media reports about oppositionists capturing a military depot in Lvov. At the same time, according to Interfax-Ukraine, the warehouse mentioned by the media belongs to the internal troops of the MVDU, not the Minoborony.

Ukrainian Health Minister Raisa Bogatyryova said that the death toll from the riots in Kiev climbed to 26, 10 of whom were MVDU personnel. She added that 263 rioters and 342 cops, mostly with gunshot wounds, are now in Kiev medical facilities. On Wednesday, Bogatyryova told a press conference in Kiev, “As for the overall number of people who died during these events, this number is 26. Ten of them are MVDU personnel, the rest are participants in the events that took place in the centre of Kiev”. Earlier, the Health Ministry reported about 25 fatalities.

Local media said that radical protesters in Volyn Oblast captured and severely beat Governor Aleksandr Bashkalenko and then handcuffed him to a stage. RIA-Novosti reported, quoting local sources, “Protesters captured Volyn Governor Aleksandr Bashkalenko in an assault on the Oblast MVDU office. Bashkalenko came out to the crowd along with MVDU chief Aleksandr Tereshchuk. Protesters struck him in the head, then, they dragged him before a local ‘Euro-Maidan’, handcuffed him to a stage, and poured cold water on him, demanding that he sign a letter of resignation”. No one knows anything further of Bashkalenko’s fate.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told a press conference, “Now, they’re trying to blame us, some politicians in Western countries make accusations saying that Russia’s to blame for everything because it’s trying to ‘re-Sovietise’ the post-Soviet space. These attempts use bad methods”. Lavrov said that he’s confident that “any reasonable and impartial observer understands that very well. We confirm that the current Ukrainian administration should settle the situation within a constitutional framework and we caution against attempts at intrusive mediation. It seems to me that our European partners have done enough ‘mediation'”. Lavrov said that Russia calls for all parties to put the interests of the Ukrainian people above geopolitical interests.

On Wednesday, the Kiev MVDU said on its website that it seized 60 cases of grenades and explosive chemicals in a garage. The garage caught fire in the morning. The MVDU said, “Police searched the garage and seized 60 cases of grenades and chemicals used in bomb making”. Apparently, an external source ignited the fire; the authorities launched an investigation.

The MVDU stated that anti-government protesters on the Maidan “openly used firearms” against Berkut MVDU forces in Kiev, wounding more than 20 troops. The rioters use snipers who fire at police. The MVDU said in an official statement, “So far, over 20 law enforcers have been hurt”. Reports show that rioters and police are clashing in the heart of Kiev. Demonstrators created a smokescreen to prepare for an assault. Black smoke billowed from smouldering tyres in the streets. Crowds threw Molotov cocktails and cobblestones at police, who responded with rubber bullets and stun grenades. An MVDU source said that snipers fired at police from a conservatory building in the Maidan. Some eyewitness reports claim these shooters used shotguns. Meanwhile, a speaker on the Maidan announced that protesters have arms and are ready to attack.

The authorities announced that everyone had to leave the Rada building immediately. Former Rada Chairman Vladimir Litvin told reporters, “We announced an urgent evacuation [of the building]”, declining to give a reason for the measure.

Rioters in Kiev broke through to the Rada building; police retreated to Mariinsky Park. The MVDU reported that rioters have arms with live ammunition. Earlier MVDU reports stated that rioters on the Maidan in Kiev fired shotguns against Berkut units, injuring at least 20 cops. Rioters fired shots at police from the windows of a conservatory building overlooking the Maidan.

Interfax-Ukraine agency quoted a government source as saying that the authorities asked the staff of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers to leave their building. Earlier, People’s Deputies had to evacuate the Rada building. The order to evacuate the Cabinet of Ministers’ building came amidst reports that rioters were in the government quarter in central Kiev.

President Vladimir Putin warned the West against piling all blame for unrest on the Ukrainian government and urged them to condemn oppositionists for organising extremist and terrorist attacks in Kiev. The President said that Western countries should refrain from blaming the Yanukovich government without putting some of the fault on the rioters. Violence sparked off on Wednesday when anti-government rioters clashed with police outside the Rada building in Kiev. The attack on the Rada dimmed hopes for a peaceful solution to the crisis through dialogue between the political rivals.

Editor’s Note:

This should prove to all the mendacity and perfidy of the West. Langley ran another “Olympic provocation”… remember South Ossetia in ’08? This proves that the oppos were never serious in their negotiations with the government. It’s time to move against them… they’ve shown that they’ve no regard for life or property; ergo, it’s time to crush them ruthlessly. Viktor Fyodorovich has the East and South behind him, along with the leadership cadre of the Armed Forces and MVDU. Is this a harbinger of a Western-fomented civil war? I hope not, but it doesn’t look good. Things such as this make me ashamed to be a citizen of the USA.

One last thing… Victor Potapov and Paffso are willing and loyal running dogs of the Russophobic American Establishment (they do hang around the anti-Russian Moonie/Republican filth at the Washington Times, after all). Isn’t it time that we muzzled them? It’s our duty to the Orthosphere, after all…
