ITAR-TASS and TsIA Novorossiya reported that opolchenie sources told them that patriot forces shot down a junta Mi-8 transport helo near Slavyansk on Thursday. Slavyansk People’s Mayor Vyacheslav Ponomaryov said that friendlies shot down at least two helicopters during the battle, saying, “It happened to the east of Slavyansk. We also damaged three enemy tanks”.

On Friday, a local opolchenie HQ source told Interfax, “At the moment, there’s intense shelling against strongpoints near Semyonovka. Vostochny has come under fire as well. The enemy isn’t currently using combat aircraft, but fierce fighting continues. By now, nearly all civilians have fled the fighting in Semyonovka, where shelling has damaged almost of the all houses. We don’t yet know if any of our forces are injured”.

On Friday, a source at opolchenie HQ told RIA-Novosti that junta forces used main battle tanks for the first time, saying, “Currently, tanks are attacking Slavyansk from two directions”.

A source at opolchenie HQ informed RIA-Novosti that a opolchenie AA installation hit a junta An-30B recon aircraft over the Slavyansk city centre, damaging it sufficiently that it crashed near Mayaki, but the crew ejected from the aircraft beforehand. Two junta helos searched the crash site for survivors.

In a post on its website, Zvezda TV said that it lost contact with a camera crew now on assignment in Novorossiya, saying, “Cameraman Andrei Sushenkov and sound engineer Anton Malyshev were unavailable ever since they arrived at a checkpoint in the [Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR)]. What we do know is that they were on their way from Donetsk to Slavyansk. They’d entered the Ukraine on 4 June officially, as TV crew accredited to cover the forthcoming inauguration of President-Elect P A Poroshenko. Our correspondent Yevgeni Davydov was in touch with them throughout their stay in the Ukraine. The last time that he contacted his colleagues was at 17.30 local time (07.30 PDT. 10.30 EDT. 15.30 BST. 18.30 MSK. 00.30 7 June AEST) on Friday, when they were at a ‘National Guard’ (sic) roadblock near Bylbasovka, 20 kilometres (@12 miles) from Slavyansk. First, they tried to enter the city using a road near Cherevkovka. The Ukrainian army blocked that route. Then, they tried to get into Slavyansk via a bypass road, 50 kilometres (31 miles) longer. Local civilians told them that security there wasn’t so strict. Their last phone call said that they were very close to Slavyansk. They said that ‘National Guards’ (sic) were searching them, and they promised to call again as soon as the search ended. Their phone has been dead since then. We failed in our attempts to contact their driver, a Slavyansk resident”. Local opolchenie sources said that the TV crew hadn’t entered the city over the past several hours and that their present whereabouts are unknown. The opolchenie are making inquiries about what may have happened to the techs.

Vladimir Inogorodsky, the chief of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LNR) media centre, told ITAR-TASS, “There was an attempted air raid by two drones and two warplanes. We sounded an air raid alert and opened fire. The planes… Su-27 fighter jets… left. They came from Chuguyev, a base near Kharkov. The drones remained in the area. We declare an air raid alert if there’s any intrusion into our airspace”.

People’s Mayor of Slavyansk Vyacheslav Ponomaryov told RIA-Novosti, “Yesterday, the enemy shelled the area near the former SBU building. Shells also landed near a city hospital, killing a civilian woman”.
******
Quoting a LNR opolchenie source, Zvezda TV posted on its website that either the Right Sector or mercenaries seized two of its techs near Slavyansk. The source said, “These people wore black uniforms… that means that they were Right Sector or mercenaries. They could do anything… stab, shoot, kill… they don’t care, for they’re worse than the Nazis were. They wanted to seize some Russian people, so, they pulled this off. This is showing-off, no doubt. They could’ve taken them to either Kiev or to Lvov”. Earlier on Saturday, Zvezda reported, citing eyewitness testimony, that their captors could’ve taken the crew and its driver Ruslan Zaslavsky, either to Kharkov or to Izyum, and that the kidnappers (who wore balaclavas) forced the crew to kneel on the ground before taking them away. Zvezda management asked Ukrainian President-Elect P A Poroshenko to intervene to secure the journalists’ release, saying, “We ask for support from the entire journalistic community in our efforts for the release of our colleagues”.
Editor:
Is this a “false flag” op? It sounds too “convenient” to me… Poroshenko wants an excuse to suppress the Right Sector… this could be it. Sometimes, things are just too… “coincidental”. Watch Poroshenko make pious noises about the Right Sector. Do keep in mind that Poroshenko is (or was) an ally of Clan Balogh, a group as bad as the Right Sector (and that he’s a former gangster himself). There could be scores waiting for settlement here…

On Saturday, “National Guard” (sic) sources claimed that it handed over a Zvezda TV crew over to the SBU. They alleged that the crew observed junta positions and were gathering intelligence.
Editor:
It looks as though the junta’s holding the crew for ransom… claiming that they were spies. Now, if they’d done that to a CNN or Sky News crew… but they wouldn’t, as the West is the junta’s puppeteer. Poroshenko IS a former racketeer… he’d just be reverting to former behaviour, wouldn’t he? This is SO obvious…

People’s Mayor of Slavyansk Vyacheslav Ponomaryov told RIA-Novosti that Ukrainian “President” P A Poroshenko isn’t welcome in the Donbass. During his inauguration on Saturday, Poroshenko announced that he’d go to Novorossiya “with an olive branch” in the near future. Ponomaryov said, “[Poroshenko’s] already proved himself to be a liar, we can’t believe him, so, I have nothing to talk about with him. We’ll sort out our own problems on our own land by ourselves. We’d follow the Orthodox faith and lifestyle that we inherited from our ancestors. People must be free. Our city does its day-to-day work; we cope with everything. We won’t surrender our city to anyone”.
******
On Saturday, a LNR government spokesman government told Interfax, “Our position remains unchanged. We won’t negotiate with Poroshenko until he pulls troops back and recognises our independence. Nothing will change in this position, even if Poroshenko personally comes to Lugansk within the next few days. Any negotiations are just out of the question, even if he comes here, unless he meets our conditions”. Valery Bolotov, the Chairman of the LNR Government, doubted that Poroshenko would visit the region in the near future, telling a news conference, “I think that he wouldn’t visit us himself as long as a military operation is under way here. I can’t imagine how he wants to put things in order here other than by military action. As for his inauguration, the Ukrainians made their choice, and this is what they have to live with. We won’t officially comment on this event. As concerns our republic, we don’t have diplomatic relations with the Ukraine. Starting today, the Ukraine has a new president and the blood of both our people and of Ukrainian citizens will be on his conscience now”. On Friday, Andrei Purgin, the first Deputy Chairman of the DNR Government, told Interfax “Negotiations with Poroshenko are possible only regarding hostage swaps, Ukrainian recognition of the DNR and the LNR, and ending military activities in Novorossiya”.
******
On Saturday, the local opolchenie HQ told Interfax, “Last night, a howitzer round hit Svobody Street, the central street of Slavyansk. It killed two people and fragments wounded several others. They shelled Cherevkovka early on Saturday, killing a civilian and destroying two houses. They’re pounding the city’s residential neighbourhoods; therefore, it’s impossible to stay there. They’ve injured a lot of civilians”. Opolchenie sources and eyewitness reports indicated that junta forces shelled Vostochny and Artemovsk from positions on Karachun Hill.

On Saturday, the Genprokuratura Ukrainy claimed that unknown intruders destroyed junta stockpiles of explosive materials at the Pavlovgrad Chemicals Works in Amvrosievka. It alleged that masked and camouflaged individuals entered the grounds and attacked the site, setting it on fire. The Genprokuratura office said, “The attackers disarmed the onsite security men. The fire destroyed stores of almost 40 tons of ammonite, an explosive material”. The Amvrosievka Raion Genprokuratura opened a criminal case.
Editor:
There are reports of ammunition shortages in junta forces… well, this just made it worse. Hmm… are you thinkin’ what I’m thinkin’? It does look like the friendly neighbourhood opolchenie came to pay a call and left their card…

7 June 2014. In Defence of A G Dugin and V A Kucherenko (“Maksim Kalashnikov”): The Western Pundits are a Buncha Maroons

“Maksim Kalashnikov” (pen-name of V A Kucherenko)
______________________________
Western pundits have a particular hatred for A G Dugin and “Maksim Kalashnikov” (pen-name of V A Kucherenko). They’re Nazis, they’re purveyors of hate, and they spread lies about the USA! Oh, the humanity!
Of course, that’s a load of horse hockey, bullshit, and outright fabrication. Dugin was a neo-Nazi in his youth… he admits it. That’s no secret. Hey, the USA had no problem with real Nazis after World War II… it put them into influential positions in the Bundesrepublik and made sure that their pensions reflected their service to the Nazis (on the other hand, the USA saw to it that career officers/NCOs of the NVA received no pensions… for the USA, SS guys were OK, but NVA guys were anathema). Dugin hasn’t been such since the end of the ‘90s, though, when he embraced Orthodoxy. Why the beef with him? Aleksandr Gelyevich is the main ideologue of Eurasianism… that’s why the Americans hate him so. Eurasianism sees Russia as distinct from the West, a part of a Eurasian civilisational bloc independent of and not intellectually dependent on the West and its crackbrained neoliberal (“conservative”) notions. You see, the Western pundits take a fact (Dugin was a National Bolshevik in his youth) and imply that he hasn’t changed. Of course, the real reason for the Western hatred is that Eurasianism has support in high circles, and America (in particular) hates the fact that someone’s exposed their deceitful machinations. Is Dugin perfect? Certainly not… however, the picture bruited by Western pundits isn’t righteous either. Remember… they DO have an agenda and it affects their statements.
Kucherenko simply is too popular for the tastes of Western pundits. He’s not only popular… he’s influential, too. Vladimir Aleksandrovich has the ear of V V Putin and D A Medvedev. Simply put, he’s more anti-American than D O Rogozin is (which is saying a lot, to be sure) and he wishes that we restore the best features of the USSR. Of course, what compounds it is that Kucherenko’s books are best-sellers, which means that a large segment of the educated public agrees with him (which angers the juvenile brat Americans to no end). His views aren’t as developed and intellectual as Dugin’s are (Dugin, after all, IS a professor of the Philosophy Faculty of MGU), but he’s got the ear of influential people in the apparat (besides ties to Putin and Medvedev, he’s personal friends with S S Sobyanin, the mayor of Moscow).
In short, Western accusations that Kucherenko and Dugin are “National Bolsheviks” or “Neo-Nazis” are contemptible and not worthy of refutation. Only vacuous neocons or fatuous paleocon sources such as The American Conservative advance such arrant nonsense. Never forget, American “conservatism” isn’t only Liberal, its Radical Liberalism at its worst. True Conservatism implies accepting Tradition and Authority, two concepts rejected by American “conservatives”. They’re grasping and drooling money-worshippers; they idolise the American Revolution, which brought in a government and state founded on warmed-over deistic Enlightenment hogwash. That is, the present American Nihilism (found in both “liberals” and “conservatives”) was implicit in the very founding of the USA as a Radical Republic. Mirabile dictu! Are leftists more “conservative” than American “conservatives” are? They ARE, indeed… American righties only worship money and power, and to hell with the rest… as the present condition of the USA testifies to. Why should you attend to their opinions of Russian political/social figures and intellectual concepts that they barely know, let alone understand? I’d go so far as to say that most material on these men in English is black propaganda… it distorts the truth at best, with most of it being outright lies and falsehood.
America never was “the sole superpower”. The righties hate Kucherenko and Dugin for saying so openly (by the way, that was the real reason for the sanctions against D K Kiselyov… the Americans especially hated his statement of fact, “Russia can turn America into a pile of radioactive ash”). So should we…
