Rada People’s Deputy O V Lyashko admitted that former criminals make up much of the so-called “Azov Battalion”, a unit of unmilitary bully boys raised by oligarch I V Kolomoisky. He said in an interview, “The fact that people were formerly convicted isn’t a stigma for life. I want to tell you… half of the fighters of the Azov special division are former convicts”. At the same time, Lyashko said, “It isn’t important that many in this battalion had previous criminal records”. He pointed up that MVDU personnel without criminal records fought in the opolchenie. In explaining his position he said, “So, let former convicts fight those who don’t have criminal records, but who surrendered to the enemy”. Earlier, reports said that the “Azov Battalion” took part in the repressions in Novorossiya, funded personally by Kolomoisky. At present, it has some 500 members {one can’t call such unrepentant criminal trash “soldiers”: editor}. A source in the Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council (SNBOU) reported that Kolomoisky is the most outspoken proponent of repression in Novorossiya.
Editor:
Lyashko is a ravening neo-Nazi; he’s even farther to the right than O Ya Tyagnibok is (such is possible). He favours the death penalty for opolchenietsy; so, one can see why he favours using criminal swine in the repression operation. Human Rights Watch condemns this asshole… he’s such a piece-of-work that even the zapadniki can’t stomach him. This guy is an A-Number-One kook. He deserves to die SLOWLY… I’m not jesting or joking.
Kolomoisky’s incensed that the People’s Republics nationalised “his” properties. He’s a typical moneygrubbing member of the Affluent Effluent sludge. He’s angered that it seems that the DNR and LNR aren’t going to sink into oblivion. Will he attack the present ruling junta? Only time will tell us…

On Tuesday, according to Pervy Kanal correspondent Aleksandr Yevstigneyev, shooting continues in Novorossiya despite the truce, as the network’s journalists came under mortar fire near Slavyansk. Fortunately, no one was hurt. So far, it’s unclear who opened fire and whether the attack caused casualties or destruction in Slavyansk. There was shooting in both the Lugansk People’s Republic (LNR) and the neighbouring Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR).

On Tuesday, Interfax reported that Aleksei Karyakin, the Chairman of the LNR Supreme Soviet, told a press conference, “We reached an agreement during a consultative meeting in Donetsk that any military operations and movement of armoured vehicles and troops would stop until 10.00 27 June. Our side didn’t open fire… we honestly honour our agreements. We also cancelled military operations. However, we can see that our adversary isn’t honouring the stipulated conditions. Today, they carried out an attack against Privolye, demolished a power substation at the Privolnenskaya coal mine, killing a woman and injuring many civilians… they struck primarily at civilian infrastructure and businesses. To achieve peace, we’ve started a prisoner exchange. Yesterday, we handed one prisoner over to the Ukrainian side, and we hope for an appropriate response”.
Editor:
I could’ve predicted that the junta wouldn’t honour its word… the Uniates back it, and they’re false to the bone, an apostate organisation. After all, the junta uses criminals in its armed bands, P A Poroshenko is a former gangster, and Kolomoisky acquired his wealth in “interesting” ways. We’re talking about people who make the American Robber Barons of the 19th century look innocent and pure. The American Establishment calls such trash “legitimate” and the Uniates and schismatics bless them.

Dmitri Timchuk, the head of the Informational Resistance group in Kiev, posted on Facebook that the opolchenie shot down a junta Mi-8 helicopter near Slavyansk using a MANPADS. Preliminary reports indicate that crash killed nine servicemen, including three flightcrew.

On Tuesday, in Donetsk, A Yu Borodai, Chairman of the DNR Government, said, “Not long ago, a battle began in the suburbs of Donetsk with artillery and armoured vehicles. There are already dead and wounded”.
Editor:
One can see the worth of Uniate words… they promised “peace”… they delivered “war”. Don’t forget, the Uniates gave us Talerhof (and here)… they murdered St Maksim Sandovich (and here)… they gave us the massacre of the Poles in Volynia (and here)… they murdered Blessed Gavriil Kostelnik (and here)… they brutalised Fr Mikhail Shuvar… they stole hundreds of churches at gunpoint after 1991. This is just more of the same… for my take on the Unia and Uniates, click here…

On Tuesday, A Yu Borodai, Chairman of the DNR Government, said that the DNR and the LNR would adopt a common Constitution, saying, “Just now, the DNR Supreme Soviet voted for the Constitution of Novorossiya. In due course, the LNR will adopt this document, too”.

Russian Ambassador to the UN Vitaly Churkin said at a meeting of the UN Security Council, “On 17 June, Russian journalists Igor Kornelyuk and Anton Voloshin died near Lugansk as a result of a mortar attack. We need to carefully investigate this crime… too much evidence indicates that this was a deliberate action”.

On Tuesday, A Yu Borodai, Chairman of the DNR Government, said at a press conference that the junta didn’t stop hostilities in Novorossiya in spite of an announced ceasefire until 27 June. In the meantime, Ukrainian President P A Poroshenko confirmed the violation during a telephone conversation with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, but alleged that the opolchenie broke the ceasefire in the south-east of Ukraine, according to the website of the President of Ukraine. Borodai said, “Today was just another day of the war. They shelled Slavyansk, as well as Snezhnoye. Recently, fighting began on the outskirts of Donetsk near the airport, with armoured vehicles, artillery, and mortar fire. Kiev’s announcement of a ceasefire was ludicrous. Kiev never meant to stop the hostilities. Both sides have casualties. I can make an official statement that there hasn’t been any ceasefire and it looks like we won’t have one in future. Kiev is full of hypocrisy; the contact group sent by Kiev has no impact on the situation and had no authority. Therefore, we have no alternative to fighting.
DNR Supreme Soviet Chairman D V Pushilin said, “Actually, Kiev is stonewalling the ceasefire agreement. Today, soon after the consultation, their troops fired on Semyonovka, killing about five people. A heavy armoured column is moving towards Donetsk. This is just some of the aggressive actions by the occupation forces on our territory. That’s the price of our agreement with Kiev. We believe that the Kiev authorities consider it a formality required for signing the economic part of the Association Agreement with the EU. Kiev needs a truce, at least officially. In fact, it doesn’t exist”.
Editor:
Look at Poroshenko’s chutzpah. He breaks the ceasefire and blames the patriots. The present putschist junta is a criminal cabal, literally… it has convicted criminals in its armed bands, a former gangster (Poroshenko) leads it, a known thief (Kolomoisky) is its éminence grise, and its spiritual icon (S A Bandera) was a murderer and terrorist. Shitbirds of a feather DO flock together…

R A Silantyev Called Orthodox Warrior I I Strelkov a “Hero of our Time”

R A Silantyev, head of the Human Rights Centre of the Worldwide Russian People’s Council (VRNS), believes that the example of DNR opolchenie commander I I Strelkov is inspirational. At a roundtable in Moscow he said, “I believe that Strelkov is a classic example of a hero of our time. For all generations, both youth and middle-aged, he’s a very animating and inspiring exemplar. Strelkov and his fighters may well become heroes in literature or in films, for their example is important for our youth, as they’ve lacked real heroes in our time”. Speaking about the development of friendly relations with the peoples of the Caucasus, Silantyev said, “What happened in Novorossiya united Russians, Chechens, and Ossetians more than a thousand conferences ever could. When people are in the same trench together and fascists, Banderovtsy, and other liberal* scum shoot at them, the bond of unity that forms between them is stronger than that fostered by many peaceful activities”.

*”Liberal” in Russian political discourse means the same as “conservative” in Anglosphere terms… that is, deregulation, small government, “economic freedom”, and libertarianism. ”Conservative” in Russian terms is nothing like the Anglosphere term, as it posits a strong state and government, strict regulation of the greedy business class, and a generous set of social guarantees. By “liberal scum”, Roman Anatolyevich means something like the right wing of the US Republican Party (John McCain, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, et al).
