Believers Flock to Grave of New Greek Orthodox Saint

Thousands of believers made pilgrimage to the monastery of St John the Evangelist in a small town in northern Greece to visit the grave of the Orthodox Church’s latest saint, St Paisios. Elder Paisios, a monk who spent most of his life in the nearby Mount Athos monastic community, essentially became a saint by popular acclamation. Revered among the faithful as a wise man and a prophet, the Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate bishops in Istanbul canonised him last Tuesday, just over 40 years after his death on 12 July 1974, at the age of 70. On Sunday, believers from all over the Balkans flocked to the monastery in Souroti, about 30 kilometres (19 miles) east of Thessaloniki.

“Go Home & Take Obama”: Rival Crowds at Anti-Islamophobia Event in Texas

Crowds of people showed up to demonstrate outside a Muslim event in Garland TX. Critics of the event accused organisers of trying to stifle freedom of speech, whilst supporters insisted that Americans have misperceptions of Islam. NBC DFW reported that thousands of demonstrators gathered outside the Curtis Culwell Center, operated by Garland Independent School District. The crowd started assembling hours before the conference began. According to organisers, they entitled the event, Stand with the Prophet against Terror and Hate; it aimed to disprove negative perceptions of Islam and Muslims in the USA. Probably, the crowd waving American flags and holding placards, some of them referring to resent terrorist attacks in Paris, are amongst those they aimed this message at. One of the protesters, Greg McKinley from Fort Worth TX, said, “We’re here to stand up for the American way of life from a faction of people who are trying to destroy it. If they want to live their life like in the Middle East, they can go back to the Middle East”. Organisers of the event, including Sound Vision, an Illinois-based website about Islam, blame media portrayal of Islam and Muslims in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks for the sharp increase of negative attitude towards them in the USA. The website stated, announcing the conference, “Hate groups in the USA invested at least 160 million USD (10.45 billion Roubles. 994 million Renminbi. 9.86 billion INR. 192 million CAD. 195 million AUD. 139 million Euros. 106 million UK Pounds) to attack our Prophet and Islam. Isn’t it time we invested in defending our faith? Otherwise, groups like ISIS and Boko Haram will only continue to increase the media’s ammunition to incriminate Muslims”. The conference was not only an awareness-raising endeavour, but also a fundraiser for a communication centre, which would “defend Prophet Muhammad, his person, and his message”.

However, the protesters see the agenda in a sinister way, believing that it’s actually about silencing any criticism of Islam. National security reporter Patrick Poole told the conservative website Washington Free Beacon, “This is a yet another manifestation of ‘Islamophobia’-phobia. The conference organisers invoke an ‘Islamophobia hate machine’ based in the USA that’s responsible for defaming Muslims worldwide, but the events of the past week and other recent attacks have done more to damage the image of Islam than any other factor”. One particular irritant for the protesters was the inclusion of Siraj Wahhaj, imam of Al-Taqwa mosque in Brooklyn NY, amongst the key speakers at the conference. Wahhaj is a controversial figure due to a link to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Opponents of the conference call him an “unindicted co-conspirator” of the attack, because he was one of some 170 people closely investigated for possible involvement, but never charged with any crime. He was also a vocal critic of the FBI and CIA back then, calling them “real terrorists” in the bombing plot. Attendees at the conference deflected the accusations. A Muslim woman wearing a headscarf told NBC DFW, “They want for people to see that we are kind peaceful people. We’re not here to fight; we’re not here to argue. We’re just here to show that we’re Americans too”. Even though several verbal clashes erupted between the two demonstrating camps, Saturday went peacefully, and the heavy police presence proved to be an unnecessary precaution. Garland Independent School District distanced itself from the controversy, when opponents of the conference accused them of endorsing the event by providing the venue. The authorities said they just rented the facility, neither promoting nor discouraging the event.

The tense if non-violent standoff over Islam in Garland comes days after US President Barack Obama urged European governments to do more to assimilate their Muslim minority populations, saying, “Our biggest advantage, major, is that our Muslim populations feel themselves to be Americans and there is this incredible process of immigration and assimilation that’s part of our tradition. There are parts of Europe in which that’s not the case… it’s important for Europe not to simply respond with a hammer and law enforcement and military approaches to these problems”. The comments came as Europeans are coping with the aftermath of terrorist attacks in Paris, where a group of Islamist gunmen went on a rampage killing 17 people, most of them during the initial massacre at the satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo. The attacks prompted a massive security response across Europe, resulting arrests in several countries and a reported thwarting of a jihadi attack on Belgian police officers.

It’s interesting how the sectarian Know Nothings want the “furriners” to leave Tejas, when THEY’RE the aggressors and interlopers! Don’t forget how the Anglos took power in Tejas and why they took power. They became incensed when the Mexican government insisted that they free their slaves. The Mexicans had been there for centuries… but the Anglos wanted it, so they stole it, and embellished a solid lie to stake their claim to it. Ergo, the protestors are chock fulla shit.

Russian Orthodox people… the Church has GOOD relations with Muslims… look at the above image. If you hear otherwise from loudmouth pro-Republican sources, well, a picture IS worth a thousand words. One last thing… the Church has NOTHING in common with Know Nothing sectarians… that’s why we don’t count them as Christians (unlike RCs, Lutherans, Anglicans, Methodist, Reformation Baptists, Mennonites, and Reformed… who ARE Christians). Do suspect all those who pal about with them.

Uniate Junta Pigs Unleash Terror Bombardment on Donetsk

00 donetsk 01. 17.04.14

“Down with the junta!”

______________________________

On Sunday morning, Valentin Motuzenko, a DNR official, said that junta forces began a massive bombardment on Donetsk from all kinds of weapons. Earlier on Sunday, Ukrainian Presidential (sic) Aide Yuri Birukov wrote on his Facebook page:

Two hours ago the entire group of our military in sector B received an order and opened saturation fire on known positions of the separatists (sic) {the junta terrorists call the Donbass patriots “separatists” and “terrorists” at the behest of their crapitalist American puppet-masters: editor}”.

According to UN data, since mid-April 2014, combat actions between junta forces and the VSN during the attempted repression in Novorossiya claimed over 4,000 lives and forced hundreds of thousands to flee their homes. The combatants agreed to a ceasefire was at talks mediated by the OSCE on 5 September in Minsk, two days after President V V Putin proposed a plan to settle the Novorossiyan situation. Two weeks later, on 20 September , the Contact Group adopted a memorandum on implementing a ceasefire. The nine-item document included a ban on all weapons, pulling back heavy weapons from the line of engagement, and setting up a buffer zone of 15 kilometres. It also entrusted the OSCE with a task of controlling implementation of the agreements. On 9 December, the parties to the conflict announced “a régime of silence” in the area of combat operations in the Donbass, in an attempt to implement the Minsk accords. Both the illegitimate Kiev junta and the DNR/LNR sides declared their willingness to pull back heavy weapons, to exchange prisoners of war, and to demilitarise the region. On 12 December, the foreign ministers of the “Normandy Quartet” comprising Germany, France, Russia, and the Ukraine held a meeting in Berlin. The ministers noted at the negotiations their readiness to meet in the coming week following the political directors’ meeting as a condition. On Friday, the situation around the Donetsk airport and the failure to agree to an agenda frustrated the Minsk talks of the Contact Group on the Ukraine. Thus, the summit in “the Normandy format” in the Kazakh capital of Astana, scheduled for 15 January, received indefinite postponement.

You must understand that the Galician Uniate élite never tells the truth… they’ve always been the cat’s paws of Western interests. First, they sucked up to the Poles… then, to the Habsburgs… then, to the Poles again… then, to the Nazis… now, to the Americans. Concurrent with that, they were always willing lickspittle running dogs of the Vatican. They are NOT “Orthodox in Union with the See of Rome”… they’re nothing but Roman Catholics with a funny veneer… they kiss the Pope of Rome’s ass more assiduously and more obsequiously than any ordinary RC (which is why most Orthodox don’t have problems with ordinary RCs… they’re what they are, and they’re going to remain that way).

Look at the history of the Holocaust! The guilt of Uniate Galicia will not lessen for a thousand years… just as Germany’s guilt will not diminish. That doesn’t mean that the current generation is to blame… it means that the actions of a previous generation stand, and that they still blot the national character. At least, the Germans aren’t proud of Nazi enormities… the Galician Uniates ARE proud of the felonious actions of S A Bandera and the OUN terrorists who murdered thousands of Jews, Roma, Russians, Poles, Romanians, Magyars, and Germans… and even Galicians who stood against their fascist nightmare. They were Equal Opportunity racist haters… “The Ukraine for Ukrainians only!” History records that. Also, don’t forget that the Galician Uniate élite supported the Habsburg death camp at Talerhof and snitched on St Maksim Sandovich (murdered as a supposed spy by the Habsburgs at the beginning of World War I).

Nice folks. Never turn your back on them. The decent folks amongst them won’t help you if you run afoul of the feral lot. I don’t know why it’s so… but it is so. Have a care… most of ’em are harmless, but the lot that’s nasty is nasty indeed.

I saw this on the pro-Western pro-neoliberal Moscow Times:

Dear reader,

Due to the increasing number of users engaging in personal attacks, spam, trolling, and abusive comments, we are no longer able to host our forum as a site for constructive and intelligent debate. It is with regret, therefore, that we have found ourselves forced to suspend the commenting function on our articles. The Moscow Times remains committed to the principle of public debate and hopes to welcome you to a new, constructive forum in the future.

Regards,

The Moscow Times

A friend of mine at the Centre informs me that nobody likes this rag except for expats, those who suck up to them, and extremist zapadniki. That is, most of the comment was negative, so, these American-conservative-style babies pulled the comments. They favoured the neoliberal pig Prokhorov in the election… someone who wanted to sell the country to Soros for his own benefit. Pass the jug and cheer… it means that the plug-uglies got it in the neck. Of course, they ain’t gonna shut up, but Vova isn’t going to shut them down. He knows that next-to-nobody reads them. This means that Potapov’s effort to export Americanism has failed… he’s grown grey in treachery, but all of his exertions for Langley have come to nought. It couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy…
