Zakarchenko Sez DNR will Pay All Salaries and Pensions in Russian Roubles in the Near Future

On 24 March,  Chairman of the DNR Government A V Zakharchenko told journalists, “In the near future, we’ll pay all salaries and pensions in Russian roubles. Our main task is to introduce a second currency for day-to-day affairs. We have a partnership with the Russian Federation; unlike the Ukraine, Russia doesn’t impose an economic blockade upon us. Our budget calculations shall remain in US Dollars”.

Junta Mi-24 Attack Helo from Poltava Oblast Crashes Near Kiev… No Reason Given

A junta Mi-24 attack helicopter crashed in Vassilkovskaya Raion in Kiev Oblast. There is no known reason for the incident. The crash killed one person and two others are in hospital in serious condition. According to initial reports, the helo was heading from Mirnoe in Poltava Oblast to Ozernoe in Zhitomir Oblast. Ukrainian media noted that the cops are no longer on the scene.

Zakharchenko Sez that Provocations Will Backfire on the Junta

Today, Chairman of the DNR Government A V Zakharchenko told reporters that any provocations of the junta forces against the DNR would backfire on Kiev. He said, “The Ukrainian forces aren’t stopping their provocations; they continue to fire on Donetsk.  We provoke the opening of the return fire. We didn’t succumb to their provocations, but anyone’s patience has a limit. We’re well aware that every instance of this is an attempt to trick us into returning fire, to make us shoot to accuse us of violating the Minsk agreements. When the firing reaches a critical mass, it’d cancel out their provocation; then, we’d say that the Ukraine violated the Minsk by conducting active combat operations”.

The junta forces aren’t shelling VSN positions, largely, they’re targeting innocent civilians… they’ve hit a railway station, and terror bombardments of civilian neighbourhoods has killed more kids. DNR Minoborony Sez OSCE Observers and Russian Journalists Came Under Fire in Shirokino

The DNR Minoborony told DAN that OSCE observers and Russian journalists came under fire today from junta forces near Shirokino. A Minoborony source told us, “In the course of following a joint OSCE monitoring in Shirokino to monitor the ceasefire, the convoy received incoming fire from Ukrainian positions. A group of Russian journalists was also involved in the incident”. The OSCE began monitoring the ceasefire on 26 September 2014, a week after the signing of the first Minsk memorandum. The memorandum set up a Joint Centre of Control and Coordination, with members of the RF and Ukrainian forces attached along with the OSCE observers.
