10 July 2015. Yes, Many People are Telling Me About Moriak… DON’T TALK TO ME… COMPLAIN TO THE OCA SOBs!

Firstly, I’d like to thank the literally dozens of people who’ve e-mailed to tell me about the Moriak situation. I haven’t posted on it as Mel and Cappie have, and they’ve done their usual good job, so, I concluded that my two-cents weren’t necessary (they’re more expert on this topic than I am). For those of you not aware of the kerfuffle, click here. This link confirms it. Now, what can you do about it that’ll do some real good? Firstly, don’t e-mail me… I’m not against your comments (you should tell me of this-or-that, as I’m not a tightassed know-all like Odd Rod), but I can’t do anything of this situation. E-mail the OCA SOBs! Get your priest to do it too! Write ’em snail mail! Call ’em on the phone! Trust me… the last thing that they want is publicity, as it might up their insurance rates if their insurer found out that they were still employing a known perv. If they refuse to act, pass the story on to the media… they LOVE stories like this one… “CHURCH ASSIGNS KNOWN ABUSER TO PARISH WORK”. That’d send their insurance rates into the stratosphere.

I’ll say this… Bernie has electrified people, as he shook up the political establishment. If the Centre were to put up a White Hat (meant both as Metropolitan and general good guy) like Mark Golovkov as the head of a new ROCOR consisting of the ROCOR, OCA, and MP abroad… people would jump on it for the same reason that people are supporting the Bern. People don’t want any more of the same old corrupt bullshit and clerical escapades. Note well that Odd Rod is silent (and accepting of those, as he’s part of Fatso’s circle) about that… “exiles in our own country”, indeed! Let’s look at ourselves first of all!

Give them no peace, kids… keep pesterin’ ’em until they get rid of the pestilent bastard, that’s my advice…

I used “pettifoggers” for постники (literally, “fasters”) in the original. My translator’s instincts told me that Monk Simeon condemned an attitude, not an action, so, “pettifogger” was the correct choice, as he excoriated (and rightly so) an unscrupulous, juridical, and unethical approach to fasting (and to religion in general, one could take this as a jab at pietistic “religious hobbyists”). Of course, he wasn’t condemning fasting per se.

DNR Minoborony Reported 46 Junta Ceasefire Violations

Today, the DNR Minoborony reported, “Over the past 24 hours, the enemy committed 46 ceasefire violations, including using heavy weapons, they’re increasing the intensity of their artillery fire. The enemy fired 19 artillery shells, 8 tank shells, and 125 8.2-cm/12-cm mortar shells; in addition, they used ATGMs, RPGs, and small arms. The most intense artillery and mortar bombardment was at Solntsevo. They also fired at Donetsk (Kievsky Raion), Gorlovka, Dokuchaevsk, Krasnaya Oktyabr, Belaya Kamenka, Staromihailovka, Zaitsev, Yelenovka, and Yasnoe. Currently, we continue to clarify data on civilian and military casualties”.
