Modern Russia acknowledges, indeed, it EMBRACES its Soviet past. This is healthy… for it enables a society to incorporate all healthy elements. You can always tell nasty-ass slobbering extremists by one fact… they want to wipe out the past. The modern Galician Uniate nationalists are such… they want to wipe out the past. ISIL/ISIS is such… it wants to wipe out the past. Yes, some of the early Bolsheviks were such, they wanted to wipe out the past (Stalin purged most of these). Some Russian “Whites” and monarchists are such… they want to wipe out the past, too. Victor Potapov is a prime example of this… his drooling pal Fathausen is his running dog in this (both are in cahoots with the most extreme, racist, and grasping Republican elements in the District and drag the Church in the mud with their associations). Potapov wants to wipe out the Soviet past, as he’s a ravening satanic Free Market fanatic. Economic Anarchy (for that is what “Libertarianism” and the “Free Market” really is) is one of the vilest and most evil systems that man has ever devised. It’s nothing but a slithering justification for the theft of society’s resources, money, and talents on a massive scale by the rich. However imperfectly they embodied it, the Soviets opposed that. That’s the REAL reason Potapov (and those like him such as Fatso) revile Stalin on the ROCOR official website. He profits personally from his treacherous sell-out to the Republican Party and to American Hegemonism (he was/is one of the well-paid head propagandists at “Radio Liberty”… “Radio Slavery to the Rich”, that’s what it really is)… everyone knows this, it’s no secret… he’s one of the most well-off priests in the Church for doing so. He sold himself to the enemies of the Rodina and of the Holy Church for comfort, filthy lucre, and “influence”.
Bear that in mind whenever you see any of his rants… not just his rant on Stalin, but also his unfocused rant on “gay marriage”. It was utterly at odds in tone with official ROCOR statements, which are Christian in tone, not political. The ROCOR Synod doesn’t share its description of the decision as “earth-shaking” (it takes a more balanced, measured, and sane tone than Potapov did). Destroyers, thieves, and rapers of the Earth aren’t in sync with the Church. That’s why no Orthodox Christian can vote for or support Republicans in good conscience. That’s why all good Orthodox Christians must reject the poisonous, mendacious, and satanic ideology spewed by Victor Potapov and Jonas Paffhausen (it’s made doubly worse by the fact that they garb it in simpering pseudo-religious vesture). Think on that…

At the beginning of a secular memorial for the victims of the MH17 crash victims, DNR Chairman of the Government A V Zakharchenko stated, “From the very first, the DNR pledged to give all possible assistance to the investigation to identify who committed this heinous crime. Now, we’re ready to give all necessary assistance to anyone who still seeks the truth, to punish the Ukrainian authorities who ordered such destruction. I’d like to express my most sincere condolences to the relatives, friends, and relatives of those killed on this airliner a year ago. Any death is a tragedy, but that’s especially true when it involves innocents. I want to tell the relatives of the victims… if you want to come here to pay tribute to the memory of your loved ones, we promise to provide all security measures and greet you as our most honoured guests. The monument that we place today is a tribute to all those who died in the skies over our beautiful land”. Following his statements, Aleksandr Vladimirovich led those present in a moment of silence in respect to those who died in the crash.
Malaysian Airlines MH17, enroute from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed on 17 July 2014 near Ugledar in the DNR. All 298 aboard the airliner died in the incident. Immediately, the DNR authorities offered to provide all possible assistance for search and rescue efforts and investigative forensics teams from the Netherlands and Malaysia. Nevertheless Kiev and the West, not even waiting for the first results of the investigation, quickly blamed the affair on the Peoples Republics and the Russian Federation.
