The War’s Over? C’mon… Really? (An Anonymous Poem from the DNR)

00 Convent of the Iveron Mother of God. Donetsk. ruins. 13.03.15

The people of the DNR and the LNR want peace… on the other side, so do most ordinary Ukrainians, for that matter (their sons die in a war started by the Americans and their local running dogs). Only disturbed and twisted people want war… it tells you volumes about Porky, the Rabbit, Turdchinov, Avakov, Denisenko, Shevchuk, and Yarosh… and their Anglo American puppeteers Nuland, Chilly Hilly, McCain, Butcher Biden, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, and Marco Rubio. America’s exceptional all right… exceptionally vicious, violent, and brutal… moreover, it does such evil all wrapped up in pseudo-religious vesture. The real people want peace… but they won’t give in to the Ukrop* and American evil… may the war end soon, with justice and peace for not only the people of Novorossiya, but with the amoral grasping American filth thrown out of the rest of the Ukraine, too. The American boot has to taken off their necks, too.

The war’s over? C’mon… really?
When it warms up, the kids will play on the swings?
We’ll strum the guitar all night in the yard?
You mean the horror will just be a bad dream?
C’mon… we won’t need guns anymore?
There won’t be any more tears on the pillow?
There won’t be any more curfew?
Tell me the truth, guys! I don’t believe it.
No more reports, no roll call?
There won’t be a difference between the Vetkoi and the Don?
We won’t be afraid of going to Petrovka?
We won’t hear the echoes of the shell-bursts in the streets?
There won’t be any more dead civilians?
Everything will be made whole again?
We’ve gone through so much; I can’t believe it,
that there’ll be peace once again outside our doors.
There is hope that the morning will be good,
that everyone here will be firmly convinced,
that our city survived, it persevered in battle.
Donetsk, hold on! We believe in your life!
