5 August 2015. Translated Russian Greeting for the Feastday of the Icon of the Holy Birthgiver and Mother of God “of Pochaev”

Just as we do NOT use “Theotokos” in Russian, but rather use the native “богородице”, English-speaking Russian Orthodox should use “Birthgiver”, as that’s in keeping with our Russian Orthodox tradition. Greeks can do as they will… I speak only of our Russian Orthodox believers and churches.
