DNR Government Outraged by Arson of OSCE Vehicles in Donetsk

Today, D V Pushilin, Vice-Chairman of the DNR Peoples Soviet, expressed the outrage of the DNR Government in re the arson of vehicles belonging to the OSCE mission in Donetsk, saying, “On behalf of the DNR Government, I’d like to express our extreme outrage in connection with this event. Indeed, the OSCE reports inform the world public about what’s happening in the Donbass. Perhaps, the OSCE mission isn’t always objective, for various reasons, ranging from technical reasons to complying with political strictures, but we’re not in favour of ending the activities of the OSCE mission. Moreover, I’m convinced that the presence of the OSCE mission in the DNR deters the activities of the Ukrainian side”.

DNR Minoborony Reported 18 Junta Ceasefire Violations

Today, the DNR Minoborony reported, “Over the past 24 hours, the enemy committed 18 ceasefire violations, including using heavy weapons, the situation remains tense. The enemy fired 29 artillery shells, 22 tank shells, and 30 8.2-cm/12-cm mortar shells; in addition, they used RPGs and small arms. We’ve reduced the number and intensity of the attacks through the efforts of the joint work of the OSCE and the STsKK*. The most intense fire was at Gorlovka, the enemy fired from the direction of Dzerzhinsk. The shellfire damaged the electrical substation, leaving most of Gorlovka without power. In addition, emergency crews had to power-down the water treatment facility for Nikitovsk Raion and Central Gorlovka. The enemy also fired at Donetsk Airport, Zhabichevo, Staromikhailovka, Lozove, Nikolaevka, Zaitsevo, and Spartak. Currently, there are no reported civilian or military casualties”.

Arson of OSCE Vehicles Junta Provocation by Ultranationalist Terrorists

Today, the Security Committee of the DNR Council of Ministers told us that the arson of an OSCE vehicle in Donetsk by junta terrorists had the intent of destabilising the situation in the DNR and discrediting its government, saying, “The Ukrainian side used recent peace rallies in Donetsk to implement their plans of forcing the OSCE monitoring mission to leave the DNR.  This would benefit the Ukrainian side, as it’d allow them to build up weapons along the Contact Line without any restraint and allow them to shell the DNR without hindrance from outside forces. In fact, our people are largely dissatisfied with the OSCE mission, which they consider as not being entirely objective, but the incident is a clear provocation. Any sane person would tell you that some parties do want to block the OSCE mission, those who want to continue to fire on Donetsk without any criticism, who want to be able to prepare an offensive by moving up new units to the Contact Line without any limit”. Earlier today, the OSCE special monitoring mission announced that a fire overnight destroyed four of its vehicles in Donetsk. According to the DNR MChS, a report came in on the fire at 02.28; the emergency crews finished knocking down the fire at 03.30.
