DNR Minoborony Reported 7 Junta Ceasefire Violations

Today, the DNR Minoborony reported, “Over the past 24 hours, the fascist aggressors committed 7 ceasefire violations. The enemy fired 8.2-cm/12-cm mortars, firing at Sakhanka with 12-cm mortars sited near Shirokino. They also fired at Oktyabrsky near Donetsk, the Donetsk Airport, and Zhabichevo. Currently, there’s no information on military or civilian casualties”.

DNR Blocked Coal Shipments to the Ukraine until the Junta Lifts Its Blockade of Fuel and Spare Parts

DNR Transport Minister Semyon Kuzmenko told us:

Now, we’re blocking coal supplies to the Ukraine; we have stringent conditions [to resume shipments]. The situation is now critical in the Ukraine; they need 1.2 million tonnes of coal from us per month. We’d only deliver it if they lifted their blockade of fuel and spare parts for railway wagons and locomotives, and if they ceased firing [on our trains]. Until they meet these conditions, we aren’t going to ship any coal to the Ukraine. At present, we’re only able to use a third of the locomotives that we need for our economy; we need to increase our capacity for our needs. With the removal of their blockade on fuel and spare parts, the DNR would be able to bring enough locomotives into the economy within two months.

The Ukraine terminated fuel shipments to the DNR on 27 June, since then, DNR railroad operations have depended on the remaining stocks of POLs*.

Civil Authorities Reported Absolute Quiet in Frontline Civilian Neighbourhoods Last Night

Civil authorities told us that last night in DNR frontline cities and regions was quiet, there was no junta shelling. Sergei Ivanov, head of administration of Telmanovo Raion, told us, “The night passed quietly, the Ukrainian side didn’t attack us”. According to local authorities in Yasinovataya, Novoazovsk, Amvrosievsk, and Starobeshevo, and other places, there was no recorded shelling from junta forces. Frontline cities such as Debaltsevo, Gorlovka, Makeyevka, and Dokuchaevsk reported no ceasefire violations during the night of 7-8 September. There were also no incidents in Donetsk, Maksim Zhukovsky, head of Petrovsky Raion of Donetsk, noted, “Glory to God, all is quiet and calm”.

OFFICIAL Zakharchenko: Glory to all DNR Warriors Who Laid Down Their Lives in the Battles for Independence

Today, 7 September 2015, DNR Chairman of the Government the head of DNR A V Zakharchenko participated in ceremonies at the Saur-Mogila dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of the liberation of the Donbass from the fascist invaders. Zakharchenko, Ministers of the Republic, members of the DNR Peoples Soviet, the heads of administrations of cities and raions, soldiers from the DNR forces, and members of Донецкая Республика (Donetskaya Respublika: Donetsk Republic) and Молодая Республика (Molodaya Respublika: Young Republic), as well as ordinary citizens, laid flowers at the graves of Red Army soldiers who died during Great Patriotic War, as well as DNR soldiers who died in the summer of 2014 in the battle for Saur-Mogila. After laying flowers, Zakharchenko addressed the rally:

Eternal memory to those who fell here in the 1940s and in 2014… eternal glory to the Vostok unit soldiers that held on to this height; glory to all DNR warriors who laid down their lives in the battles for independence. We’re the people of this land; we won’t give up an inch of our land.

The people present observed a minute of silence in memory of soldiers who died at Saur-Mogila.
