Donbassgaz staff just finished a gas distribution point for heating purposes in a satellite outpatient multiclinic in Dokuchaevsk. The project cost more than 125,000 Roubles (12,750 Renminbi. 130,000 INR. 2,000 USD. 2,600 CAD. 2,750 AUD. 1,750 Euros. 1,300 UK Pounds). Attendees at the inauguration ceremony included Deputy Chief of Staff of the Chairman of the DNR Government Dmitri Trapeznikov, DNR Health Minister Viktor Kuchkovo, the new head of the Dokuchaevsk GMA* Aleksandr Kachanov, Donbassgaz staff, multiclinic staff, and local residents. This outpatient facility serves over 1,600 residents, including 104 combatants and veterans of the Great Patriotic War. It’s located six kilometres from the primary healthcare centre, which is in the central part of Dokuchaevsk; not everyone can make it there. Kachanov said:
Previously, people had to go to the main centre for medical exams, and six kilometres… it’s not so little. Not everyone has enough money to visit the central multiclinic.
Before installing gas heat, the clinic had an electric heating system, which caused considerable inconvenience in the winter. Medical personnel couldn’t always offer a full range of guaranteed medical services. According to Kuchkovo:
Winter temperatures can drop to -10 to -12 degrees (10.4 to 14 degrees Fahrenheit). This went on for decades… attempts to install gas heat here went on for a long time, but for various bureaucratic reasons, no one could do it. Now, we’ve restored normal life in the Republic; so, we can resolve all technical issues, it’s possible to make firm decisions on the installation of new equipment.
